thanks for this tutorial. I enjoy creating things in blender starting from scratch but I am very happy to learn that the diamonds are now available as an add on.
6:46 The diamond is reflected when you change the Roughness, but it doesn't work at me I tried it from the beginning but I still don't have that diamond and also the text reflected on the plane... Could you please help?
Hi, just wondering if you take requests? I’m looking for some personal work to be done. I have an idea I would like brought to life. Let me know if you’re available. Thanks
Yes.. this is a old habit i guess. But this time i also used emisson shaded plane to give a reflection in the text. Just another way of doing it. The new denoiser did not given me the result i wanted this time, so i swapped back to the default. Default is sometimes good enough at a beginner stage. Also trying to make a tutorial with less steps this time 🙂
@@mazashayeri1411 I think working with planes with emission shader gives a better result in this particular case, as you said controlling the light hitting reflections, you're also able to have your lightsource be other shapes which is not possible with an area lamp :) But area lights will be just as good. But to get the result in the tutorial i would use planes :)
Man this tutorial ist the best you can find on the internet thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow, considering the quality of this video, why am I surprised that it doesn't have more views?

Прикольно, мне понравилось, не один ещё так подробно не рассказывал! 👍
Спасибо!

One thing is that you can just search the IOR of diamond. Its around 2.14, so use that for an accurate diamond.
Great tutorial thanks a bunch!
Very helpful and in depth tutorial! 👍
Indeed very good 👍
Blender has already prepared presets like gem models wtf
Neat, right? :)
Wow. I've took away a great amount of knowledge from this video.

What is the reason for using planes instead of area lights?
Why use the old cycles denoiser instead of the newer optix or open image denoise options?

@@cgviking8459 So there's no difference between an area light and a plane with emission shader? or they look somewhat different in the reflections?

@@cgviking8459 Yeah, that makes sense. I've seen people use gradient or other textures on their emissive planes. Thanks for the response.
When I try bevel there is no bend in the lines. Just flat angle with lines going through it.
Try scrolling with your mousewheel after hitting ctrl-b it wil Increase number of subdivisions on that particular edge.

@@cgviking8459 that's what I've been doing. It create more sections but they remain all flat on the same plane. No curvature.
i think you mean the expansion doesnt go on both planes? i have the same thing
E A S Y.
I got a diamond add before this vid xD
Haha 😅 good thing you don't need to buy them in blender 😂
😂 yes agreed
Can you make me one plsss 😭🥺
i cant find the option diamonds
go to Edit >Preferences >Add-ons > select Add Mesh: Extra Objects... then it will show you those options to add diamond :)
