    Another nice video William. As mallards move further north, they are cross breeding with blacks. By the looks of ice conditions, you guys won't be going at the crab for a little while yet. Thanks for sharing.

    First ever mallard.......Woooow. I find it funny when people get excited about species I hunt that are seen as pests. At the same time, I haven't gotten a Ptarmigan yet and I'm sure I will be as excited for that as you were for that mallard.

    Lots of action in this video. Lots of learning for your son, also. Mallards are a slightly bigger, more adaptable duck. Odds are that the male you shot was following a female black duck born in the area. Female blacks/mallards usually return to where they were born. Males follow the girl friend. I'm guessing you have a project lined up for the seal skins. Thanks for the video. They are all good, but this one was a dandy.

    what is the price of a seal pelt, young William is in training, he has 3 seasons hunters teaching him , people in nfld got 40. oo dollars for xxx large beaver no big deal, in nfld i hive been a registered beaver trapper for 40 years, what are u going to get for 40.00 dollars

    • @Biglandtrapper
      @Biglandtrapper  Рік тому

      Not sure what seals go for now, price of everything is up and down hard to keep track of it. 40 bucks certainly don’t go far now, spit in the bucket as they say…
