    I can taste those lovely fish. I use 20 lb. test dyneema braided nylon for trout. It is small diameter, gives a good cast, very sensitive & very strong. I also use 100 lb. dyneema for cod when I use a rod. Most times I use handline. Very strong and a spool can hold 40 fathoms no problem. The down side is abrasion but only a problem on first 20 feet or so. Answer to this is to shorten up after extended use.

    I've watched a few of your fishing videos now William and I've noticed you use the "red devil" type lures....red with white stripe. I personally find them great for salmonoid specie's. Obviously they work.
    Cheers fella!

    Been a dream of mine since I was a child to go trout and salmon fishing up in Labrador, you don't get trout to good on the island anymore, seems like no matter how far you go in the woods the ponds are fished out

    • @renita1231
      @renita1231 8 років тому

      That is true. I am glad I tell no one were we trout to. Our ponds are full of trout. Get your limit in 5-10 minutes all nice trout. Cheers RH

    • @joshn5761
      @joshn5761 8 років тому

      Last time I caught limit was last summer, most I've gotten in one trip since is 10 and being on the Avalon makes it even worse since a lot of people just go up and down ponds in boats with nets hanging off the back

    • @renita1231
      @renita1231 8 років тому

      +Josh N That would do it. we're I go you have to walk 45 to 1hrs. Today we maybe the only ones who walk to ponds. Now a days if the bike don't get there no one goes. lol.

      it is about $28/dz here in eastern canada, but just domestic beer is $26
