We used to do auction set ups like this, back before such sales went on line. It was always fun guessing which odd items would make up good lots. Some of those odd dark horses would come in as big winners. When I’d take photos, to run the ads, I’d sometimes use a soda can or my company ball cap (which was always on my head and handy), to show an items scale. Love these videos. 😉
All the stuff at the farm looks so cool and vintage, from the tractor to the frog and number plates. Here in Australia, if you did a similar auction at a farm you’d be lucky to find any rusty junk worth 50c 🤣
Scrap Buyers: the one we had who would come to our live farm auctions would bring full size dumpsters, after buying the rights to “all the remaining scrap metal”. He had the trucks to lift them loaded and haul them off. Clearing rural properties by auction is a great way to prep the real estate for re-sale. A well run pick-up day can clear a multi-generation farm ina single day. 😉
Nothing more fun than riding on the tractor hitch! Used to do it all the time! I absolutely hate auctions that extend! If you are watching multiple items, no way you can scroll back and forth to keep up.
The seller asked us to, however the sale of the property was closing just a couple days later so there wouldn’t be enough time to disassemble the buildings beforehand.
So did i hear correctly that you had some consignment stuff there too? How does that work? Did people just bring stuff there because you're doing an auction? Cheers
You are having so much fun perhaps you should look to buying an abandoned town and relocate the warehouse sale to Trash Town ? Trash Town could have a Rabbit Reminiscing Room for a museum and HQ for the local history group. Your auctions would also have a permament Treasure Trove. You could also live on site which would save on travel time and costs. A function room might also be created in an abandoned hotel in Trash Town to host meet ups with Resale Rabbit's You Tube viewers. The Trash Town Reception Room would also be an ideal venue for your wedding .
Continuing the alliteration , Trash Town would also acknowledge your Garbage Customers by sending them to Garbage Gaol which could be the back gate or bathroom .
No, this is another bidder trying to buy certain items (who happens to own the company). It’s also listed in the consignment agreement and buyers terms of service that employees of the auction company can bid on items.
It's an auction and the good stuff will go for hundred or thousands when it comes to industrial farm stuff, especially antiques. There would be no profit margins or space to store most of the stuff in his warehouse to sit.
Honestly he could have very easily just said "not worth it Ill give you this for each item im not going to list" etc and just never post it. Which I would argue is the problem with estate auctioneers. At least auction style everyone can bid on it with him. The only real advantage here is that he had prior insight and can lot things that are advantageous to a reseller. For the most part everyone that uses this website is a reseller of some kind, and have the option for a week to several weeks to research items shown. On top of he uses his own pictures instead of stock images so everyone can have access to view and research before posting a bid. Its not inherently scummy for him to bid on it so long as everyone has access to the pertinent information per item, everyone will have plenty of time to gain the same information.

Scaffolding: yes, minute mark 57 is an expandable wooden scaffold plank, banded in metal. You pull on the ends to make it longer.
The chicken thing was a nesting box :)
Arnels Frog/toad are collectables that look to be handpainted by hobbyists in the 70's.
Some of these frogs can go for 90-200+.
Warehouse sales might be down but you're killing it with the auctions.
Length in Wisconsin
Up until 2-3 years ago did very well with vintage bikes. Lately I can't give them away. Sadly they are going to be scrapped by Thanksgiving.
I really enjoy your estate sale and farm auctions . Too bad I live up in Canada 🇨🇦. Thank you for the video .
Nothing more fun than riding on the tractor hitch! Used to do it all the time! I absolutely hate auctions that extend! If you are watching multiple items, no way you can scroll back and forth to keep up.
Love these auction videos I bid a lot on online auctions so it was way cool to watch it from the auctioneers side Great job
That deere mower sold less than half price.
I like these auction videos. Look forward to more.
I really enjoyed this video of the auction and the whole process. Hope to see more of them.
Just finished the video. Very entertaining and interesting! Thanks for sharing. Cheers from Toronto
YOU ROCKED IT
Great job! You young whippersnapper!!!
Great vid !
Thanks for the video. I feel itchy from all of that dust 😬
I’m surprised you didn’t auction off the buildings for the recyclable old wood.
The seller asked us to, however the sale of the property was closing just a couple days later so there wouldn’t be enough time to disassemble the buildings beforehand.
The purple scooter at 56:14 in dark room. What brand was it? I’m sure that is worth some money
If everyone had your problem with not being able to stop bidding, you'd make even more money :P
I don’t mean this as a knock at all, but I can’t stop laughing at you bidding and jacking up the prices
It’s bittersweet. I’m bummed out that I didn’t get the items, but also happy (I guess) that they sold for more money.
Shill bidding is great
@@scottybeescrapped4429shill bidding at its finest
I spent 1/2 the vid trying to figure out if I knew the farm .. lol
Excellente !!!!!!!!!! 🎃❤️👍🙋🏻♀️

they fought over my grannys concrete geese and deer
They're hot right now.
Schwinn bike is 50 if you are lucky
Lol where the chickens lay the hens
🤣🤣
what came first the chicken or the hen 😂
Do your bid increments not increase with price? I've never seen 5 or 10 dollar increments over 1k bid.
They do increase with price. It starts out with $1 increments. Idk what all the ranges are though
So did i hear correctly that you had some consignment stuff there too? How does that work? Did people just bring stuff there because you're doing an auction? Cheers
There were 4 different members of the family selling items there.
Gotcha. So not random sellers. Makes more sense now. You probably mentioned it in the video but i missed it.
I’m originally from WI. What area /town is this please?
It was in Suamico! John's warehouse and most of his videos are in the Green Bay area
❤❤❤
No, you chatty😂

Yes it is a shame the buildings get demolished and not rebuilt in another location.
You might return sometime to see the new use for the land .
Looking at the house, does anyone else want to yell REDRUM?
Was getting seasick from your camera movements LOL
Is this shill bidding?

I'm betting he bought all the good stuff
It's an auction and the good stuff will go for hundred or thousands when it comes to industrial farm stuff, especially antiques. There would be no profit margins or space to store most of the stuff in his warehouse to sit.
Everything goes to the highest bidder
