Agreed. They made a huge😁move in the right direction. The 1/6 Honcho gets a lot right. I guess the only element that kinda takes a step back from the 1/6 Wrangler is that the door knobs are printed on, as opposed to separately applied. I'm sure 3rd party and some Shapeway stores will pounce to rectify that though.
Great job running this big truck down in a manageable video length. I know that's a challenge. I love this truck! The looks are enough to make me interested, which the first SCX6 did not. The night shots with the lights on are impressive! Nice save at 5:50! Wheelie was awesome at 8:13 too! And the pull! You knocked this one out of the park.
The license costs the equivalent of about 9 SCX6 trucks. So despite the fact that the jeep model is licensed, it’s a drop in the ocean after a couple of sales. Plus you get a full light kit, inner fenders, spare wheel, licensed wheels and new body hinge so there have been improvements and upgrades.

Hoping that Axial will come out with a 1/6 scale Capra. I think it would be the most capable rc ever. Would definitely need a 2 or 3 speed trans. Locking difs would be neat to see to or 4 way steering
@@rcdriver yes greatly. Got over 300 hours on trx4. Very few broken parts. Drove it thru a creek 1 time and the esc smoked and the servo curcits burned up. Take this truck to work every day. So much fun with open diffs. Does axial have open diff kit to convert our crawlers to onroad fast trucks.
Nice video. Only thing I was cautious about was the mount for the two speed servo. Looked a tad flimsy. All in all great truck, and keep the videos coming!!

I never really liked the 1/10 Honcho, but this one is a fair bit nicer. They did not skimp on the details, and I think they did a really nice job on the rear cage. That said, seeing them side by side, I think I'd still go for the Jeep if I had to pick. I'll be sticking with my 1/10 scale though, as it suits my use very well.
Lots of people complaining about the price, well if companies only made products for average income folks then we would be missing out on a lot of great products. If you can afford a quality 10th scale rig then save up for a two or three months then get this one, that's what im going to do, nobody says you must purchase this on the day it comes out. I would like nothing more than a brand new 1 to 1 Corvette but that is not in my future, that doesn't mean I should tell Chevrolet not to make that car because I cant afford one. If you dont like this new Honcho or cant "afford" one then dont buy it, simple as that. This can be an expensive hobby and complaining about prices tells me that perhaps your in the wrong hobby. Everyone is too damn critical about everything these days, chill out and enjoy what you have and look forward to what is coming, this is a really great time to be an RC'er.

I like the honcho much more than the jeep version. I understand the price but, man I wish they could make it more affordable for the average Joe. I can't justify spending over $1,000 on my hobby when I have a family to support. #1stworldproblems
Yeah cheap deadbolt or maybe a kit would be a more decent option for those on a budget because we could build it slowly according to our budget. From the other side of the fence (living alone) there's no way i can afford this in rtr form, it's freaking 1500 CAD$.. before taxes and battery 🙈
These things just keep getting bigger and more expensive. I'm not broke by any means,but I'm happy with my Wraith and Ryft. That's all the money Axial is going to get from me,because the day I pay $1000 for an RC vehicle is the day I get my wife to have me committed...

It is awesome!! It is a little big for me though. I'm just waiting on the new traxxas 1/18 to go with my 1/24 crawlers. One day I'll be able to find a place to crawl the big ones
I'm planning on picking up 1,just not sure what color I want more,lol. How much run time do you get with just 1 battery? I'm mostly gonna keep this in 1st gear
On one battery about 45 min if low gear crawling. In high gear and running full speed about 15-20 min. But again that's not bad for one battery running a 25lb red bull can sized motor

How can I get one of these in Australia? I recently got out of hospital after 9 months after being hit by a car who was an unlicensed driver when I was on my motorcycle, after 10 operations it basically destroyed my life but I'm slowly getting there, it took me ages to save but I brought a cheap crawler fromm Facebook which has seen better days but I spend every spare minute with this hobby as it takes my mind off everything going on weather is physical or emotional. I'm certainly going to try save for one of these if I can find one in Australia I also love watching your channel. Love and peace from Australia!!

I'm pretty sure it was actually one of their best sellers. Which is why they are releasing a new body. It's the same thing as Traxxas with the TRX4. It's one of their best selling vehicles so they refresh it every so often with a new body.
Everyone that runs these seems to love them, but I'm really pleased with my 1/10 scale. It's much easier to carry if needed, while still giving acceptable driving dynamics.
I hope Axial SCX6 Considers making more body styles, like land cruiser, old chevy blazer and bronco bodys.

Not a fan of it being the same price as the fully licensed Jeep Wrangler version. It should be cheaper since it’s not a licensed body.
It has a full back cage, a functional spare tire, and sand ladders. Thats where the cost evens out.

Up the pinion to a 17t, turn the timing up, add some dual dtage foams and send it in 2nd gear. What a machine!

I have those plates on my scx10 honcho. Just have to 3D print the mount and scavenge the aluminum triangles from the original honcho bumper.

1099 is steep, but its a legit crawler. I like that it pretty much has all the Scale accessories youll need.

They sold fairly well. I'll be getting this one, wasn't a fan of the jeep. Plus I have the gladiator 10.3 so jeeps are good.
