@Bert In and around the cities, a lot of people use public transportation because it's convenient and punctual. However, most people in Norway have at least one or two cars. Especially if they don't live in the inner city areas. There are still people driving fossil fueled cars in Norway, but the recent figures show that more than 50% of all new cars sold in Norway are pure electric. This has a number of reasons. One of the most important reasons is that the sales tax on EV's is much lower than on fossile fueled cars, along with a number of other economic benefits. The infrastructure around charging is also great. Also, people in Norway generally makes a fairly good living, so affording this is not a very big issue. In fact, owning a new EV in Norway is way cheaper than owning a new fossile fueled car. So it just makes sense :)
I love the sprint mode's suggestion! It reminds the driver of the powerful horse they're wielding so as to not lose focus and control. Just a reminder and certainty

When I first saw the Lucid air, I wondered why they styled everything from the front on back to look like a car from a different era. What I’d really love to see from Lucid is a wagon/hatchback like a Porsche Panamera or Audi A6 Avant.
Why would a wagon be a good idea? They're a new company trying to capture market share. Point to ponder: How many established brands offer wagons in 2024?
I really want to drive one, being that the man who created it wanted it to handle like the e39 m5 bmw. Which is one of the best driving cars I think ever made Having driven nearly 200 different cars, I hope this delivers in the driver experience
It just occurred to me that Lucid cous have made the trunk open right upto to the back of the headrests. A bit like the Aston Martin Rapide boot. (Although that is much longer). This would give better access to the boot and also make it look less strange when open.

As lucid owners have stated, first year of ownership, mileage has only degraded by about 2-4 miles. The dream owner with more than 7k miles at 100% charge gets 515
would really love for you to take a look at some hybrids on this channel too. all EV doesn't make sense in the middle of the midwest, but I'd like to hear about some hybrids that are worthwhile, particularly plug in hybrids.

I have a Model S and one of my favorite things about it, and I'm almost certain no other, or very few other sedans can do this, but I'm able to fit 4 full sized golf bags in the trunk and 4 adult men golfers fairly comfortably in the car. It's amazing. The Lucid trunk looks like it'd barely hold 1 golf bag, if that. More trunk space is my preference than a little more leg room.
I personally think this is much better looking than the Model S, but each to their own. The only downside for me is the smaller trunk, even if the frunk is a nice size.
Hey, I loved the video! I love the lucid air and the tech and luxury that it provides. I would love to see a comparison between the BMW i7 and the Lucid Air and see which one is better. Keep on keeping on!
I appreciate everything about the Lucid Air and what it offers as an EV enthusiast. However I'm very skeptical due to the poor infrastructure charging network and the tremendous price tag. It may be far from a Tesla Killer, but it is still an amazing car nonetheless and I really hope to see more of these cars in the future.
Rear 3/4 is really ugly... Front is pretty nice. I still rather have a larger trunk than a large frunk. My 2013 RWD Model S had the super-large frunk, super-large trunk, and 3rd row. That was great. Also, the importance of software is not to be under-estimated. Buggy FW or glitchy UI is just infuriating. Also, for road trips, the longer range of the Lucid is nice, but I would take shorter range + 100% better charging network over the longer range any day.
Basicly, if you want an electric drivers car, you'll get Lucid. If you want a cool PC with turbo wheels, you'll get a Tesla. And if you want to waste as much money as possible, you'll get a Mercedes EQS.
@@jakovbrizic I would avoid Lucid because of the buggy software. That can probably be fixed, but that may never happen. Also, Tesla is just a way better value for your money.
@@ken830 i'm not so sure. Tesla, while a revolutionary car maker, ranks pretty high in the "most unreliable" bracket with 176 mechanical faults per 100 vehicles, while the industry median is 121... If software is your thing, than sure, go for it. But if you like to drive, better skip Tesla. As I said, Tesla is a revolutionary car, but a poorly made car.
@@jakovbrizic You can believe what you want with "rankings" or "reliability ratings" whose metrics are questionable in terms of actual relevance all you want... I've owned 4 Tesla vehicles, the first of which was early 2013 (ten years ago) and the latest is a Model X I took delivery 2 months ago. My brother owns one, my parents own two, approx. a dozen family members of mine own at least one, about 15 friends of mine own them, and probably dozens of my direct coworkers as well. So I can say that real-world reliability with Tesla is actually very high. Of course, you don't have to believe some random guy on a UA-cam comment and there's no way I can prove my experience, but just keep in mind that the sources you base your opinion on may very likely be wrong.
The more electric cars that come out the more Tesla shines! It kinda frustratingas an outsider that EVs STILL can’t do better even with the blueprint in front of them
We dont see it yet but bankruptcies will come to many of these new EV car companies. If you buy any of these cars and the company go bankrupt you must feel very discouraged owning one. Second-hand value most likely dropping by a lot. Its not something i wish for them but how can i unsee the struggle Tesla had which these companies hasnt faced yet.
Very objective, thorough review of the Lucid. Disagree with you on the looks. The rear quarter has a retro, kind of bustle back look. We are all entitled to our opinions. Keep the great vids coming.
I think we've been tricked into worrying about range AND fast charging simultaneously when they are both solving the same problem. Like this week I had to go to the airport and the office. 11km and 10km one way. With 300 miles of range, even carrying around a huge, thousand pound battery pack I could drive for month without plugging in at home. Just trickle charging past midnight would be way more than enough. Fast charging is overpriced and pointless in this case. With 50 miles of range, with a cheap light battery pack I could easily do both trips, at either the airport or at work there is a chance to get on the fast charger and top up so what do I need range for? If we have chargers everywhere then large battery packs are pointless. If you are self sufficient with your huge battery then the chargers don't matter, or if you have chargers everywhere in your city then the battery doesn't matter.
Fast charging is strictly a road trip factor. The second you need to go an a road trip 600+ miles down the coast or something, all you care about is the fast charging situation
the trunk isn's really useful for families, I can tell they designed the back trunk around luggages for business travels but not for day to day family use where stuff with weird shapes gets put in (ex: scrollers, folding carts/tents for weekend trips, etc...
Just get it wrapped as you did and the car will look really good. Also, since there are two videos which you made - I can really see the difference between the iPhone and RED camera setup !!

@@johanneskorenhage5090 ah okay cool :) thank you!
Would love it if you could also include your opinion on assisted driving features for your next videos!
Agreed. Model S would be perfect for families too where as Lucid air doesn't work. Same for group trips with friends
The miles per charge is pretty underated here. It actually has enough to pretty much erase range anxiety. Wish other companies had that tech.
I personally think this is much better looking than the Model S, but each to their own. The only downside for me is the smaller trunk, even if the frunk is a nice size.
it cost 180k. enough said
@@manuelight hmm yeah for that price you get an S class
in person it looks far better than what we see on the internet
Love the look of this car, and I make decent money.. I still can’t convince myself to spend as much on a car as I spent on my house 4 years ago…
Hey, I loved the video! I love the lucid air and the tech and luxury that it provides. I would love to see a comparison between the BMW i7 and the Lucid Air and see which one is better. Keep on keeping on!
By far my favourite EV out to date and I love the unique french esqe styling. To me these handily beat Tesla, Mercedes etc for best luxury EV
How do you feel about your favourite EV-maker Lucid Motors being owned by Saudi Arabia?
I watch all these vids. Can’t HELP myself. Great work.
The pass-through to the trunk is for skis. This is extremely common in Europe.
Love this channel and style!
Once their software is good, lucid is on the run
Marques, would love to see a comparison between the Lucid and Mercedes EQS sedan/suv.
The more electric cars that come out the more Tesla shines! It kinda frustratingas an outsider that EVs STILL can’t do better even with the blueprint in front of them
Tesla is leading the pack and the competition is only going to make Tesla better.
Really nice video. Almsot better than the main channel vid in some ways
"Beats Tesla in terms of luxury"
Not exactly difficult to do lmao
Love the screen placement most of all
I love how the Lucid looks like. I would take it over tesla every day!
Saw one in Austin, TX. Huge car. Camera does not do it justice to the sheer size and presence this vehicle has.
Tesla one ups in charging station and autopilot 😳
The car makes your audio amazing it sounds very even when you are in it and all doors closed
*I'm done sitting tight for the award advance since i acquire$23,000 every 12 days of my investment.❤*
HOW! I would really appreciate if you show me how to go about it. Please can you list the platforms ?
Love the Lucid Air, what a fabulous ❤ car
Love Your Videos MKBHD . Great Video MKBHD .
Amazing video MKBHD!
Great review. Just wish Lucid would let me live with one of their cars for a week.
IMO it looks like what modern Citroen if they made a flagship EV
Marques! Use the rear fog ‘button’ to warm and clear the mirrorssss!
the trunk isn's really useful for families, I can tell they designed the back trunk around luggages for business travels but not for day to day family use where stuff with weird shapes gets put in (ex: scrollers, folding carts/tents for weekend trips, etc...
What about this: do a poll on Twitter on how people think of how Lucid Air looks.
14 Pro is Simply Wonderful…….Even at 1080p it looks beautiful 😍
They really need to release a mid-cycle refresh of this car. So much to improve.
I get knight rider vibes whenever I see this car 😂 great vid MKB
Love your content. Keep it up 👍
Just get it wrapped as you did and the car will look really good.
Also, since there are two videos which you made - I can really see the difference between the iPhone and RED camera setup !!
