A couple of times I found larger clay pots. Be sure to always look inside of them. Two of them that I found were actually filled! One was completely filled with marbles and the other was filled with buttons, small ceramic animals and a bunch of other cool little trinkets like jacks, marbles, small led toys and random goodies :)

Get peppermint oil to ward off the bugs. I love when you find alley-gobs. They remind me of my sister who passed 30 years ago. She was the jacks champion in the park district of our town when she was 12, back in the 60s. I miss her, she was 4 years older than I and I wanted to be just like her.

Dear ladies, I hate seeing you get all torn up & scratched to ribbons crawling through the trees & undergrowth!! ; I was thinking that it might be a good idea to take a pair of succeteers or garden cutters with you next time to help you find your way through without you getting injured. Thank you for yet another delightful video & for sharing your adventures with us. Love from Sydney Australia. 😊🐨

Nature does so much to keep humans away, doesn't it? The weather, thorns, poison plants, bug that bite & sting, Nettles, burrs. The snow baby has such a cute face, I hope you find a way to make it a doll in a fuzzy snowsuit.

Well now I know where my mum got the phrase: I'll snatch that wig right off your head!" She wore wigs in the 60's and 70's for different looks. I had one on one day and that's what she said. LOL

I read an article from the University of Chicago about Washington's home and Male Hair Care. There were some curlers found in excavations at his home and surrounding area that had the "WB" mark on them. They don't know who it stands for, so no help there, but I found it very interesting that these curlers with the same marks were found on Washington's home property.

Hello ladies. Since I know very well what is it to be completly surrounded by brambles full of spikes, I suggest you to buy and carry some pair of shears maybe. It get me out of trouble many times. And, knowing your "style", you should know that you can find some lovely vintage little winemaker shears on many selling web sites. The smallest ones aren't too heavy to carry and I think it may be an efficient way to seek more beautiful things that you show us. And these oldies are still way better and resistant then the modern ones. Love your channel guys. Cheers from south of France.

The wig curlers, the alleygobs, the buttons are all time travelers in their own way. They lived useful and interesting lives only to lie dormant until found. They stretch from their time to ours to tell a tiny story, each fascinating in itself. Dumpdiggers are like household archaeologists- bringing everyday life into focus in a lively, immediate way. I’m not going to say non academic- because you do due diligence and research for your finds. Please keep doing what you do. Maybe one day I can come & join you! 😊☺️😊✨

With one of the small dolls head/figurine head and shoulders, you could make a "bust" for the doll house - by filing the figurine flat at the bottom, then gluing it on a small piece of wood that has been stained and polished.

i love your stories and adventures you enjoy daily. My location is usa in the south and bugs and bites are part of my upbringing as a child; my friends and I fed many bugs in our lives. We got used to it, but no fun for sure. No bottle dumps in my upbringing, but I feel less of a person for it. I love history and collecting things. Give me 5 things today, and I will put 3 things away and the other 2 things in a collection. I am 75 now, so you have some idea of how many collections I have. I collect History also and try to apply that knowledge when I can. The times you two share are what is important, nothing else compares to it. Shut my mouth now. Enjoy your day and thank you for what you share.

I am so happy I found this channel, Growing up I was full of such wonder and I was such an explorer. My family would call me the real life Tinker Bell the way I’d find Knickknacks and tinker them into something better.
Growing up is a pain. And I’ve learned that when someone tells you to cherish the younger days, to really do so as they’re gone in a blink of an eye.
This channel brings me back to those roots full of optimism, wonder and creativity. Thank you guys for what you do. This past week has been so nice and subtle since finding your channel and im forever grateful

You are both real troopers. I do hope you can give that little boy a body. He has such a cute face. Two ! Alley gobs ! Even though you didn’t get very many things you found interesting things. This is an odd aside: It is amazing to me how well behaved ivy is in your country. Here in the Willamette Valley of Oregon (and some coastal areas too) introduced ivy is very aggressive, and has killed even big trees by strangling them. English ivy is great -- in England!

In Canada, nobody goes into a rural/forested area without putting on LOTS of bug repellent. We have mosquitos, of course, but worse than that are the black flies! *Shudder* And in case we do get nailed, we have After-Bite, a wonderful analgesic liquid that kills the itch and pain. :) I apologise for laughing while Kate tried to crawl through the thorn bushes. There's no remedy for that, so just don't do it. ROFL Wonderful finds, especially the burnt apothecary bottle and the wig curler. See you next time.
