- This week we return to Gobby beach. Unbelievably we found yet another amazing find on the path of beads! We can`t quite believe we found another artefact from the same era as before! There were other similar finds also and some amazing things! This beach seems to never disappoint. Come with us and see what we find in the muddy mire that is Gobby Beach :)

I've just learned about Ally Sloper for the first time. He looks very much the model for W.C. Fields at his drunkest.
Thank you for today's film. I've learnt something special today. I have my grandparents box of beads, they are mostly bugles and tiny beads, but I always noticed some beads that were a bit different, so I've just been and looked through the box, and found five tiny tiny trading beads. It's lovely to know what they are. Pale blue middles, then dark blue and white outside stripes.
They will now be strung to go in my vintage dollshouse, in your honour.

I just love the little red sponge ware bird! Can you imagine those little red birds going all the way around a rim of a cup?

You said you picked up a plastic straw and the beach was rewarding you. I believe this too.... I go shell hunting on our beaches and take an extra bag for rubbish.... I feel the same way :)
That piece of glass would make a great angel wing.
As I have said before, my late father used to say to us x5 sisters and a brother " when in town keep your window down " meaning to look around all the time as you don't know what is below your feet.

The glass bottle stoppers make great dingers in the middle of windchimes. I make windchimes from dump finds.

I think that black bead would make a great item to hang on the wall of the dollhouse like a mirror but one were you had to imagine what you looked like.

Very interesting finds today! Could you fill in the back of the cherub piece with resin to make a flat surface for your project? The monkey is cute too!🥰🥰
You can get a small teacup to turn into chairs for the doll house. 🙂 if broken half. 🙂 it's okay to make a project if even broken stuff. You can creative that project turn into beautiful stuff. 🙂

Some really fabulous finds this week ladies. I wonder if the monkey was one of three. There was a definite trend for the 'three wise monkeys' for a long time. See no evil, 'hear no evil' and 'speak no evil'. Its a shame he's got no arms to give us a clue. Ha, suppose that gives him the option to do all three, no questions asked. 😂
I must admit, i do love the tiny treasures best. The trade beads have so much meaning and look so pretty. A fantastic find. But the jet glass items i love too. The buttons especially. What a lovely collection to place in frames to look at. There's so many types and patterns. Sad why they were made, but pretty none the less.

Wonderful beads, always love it when you find trade beads, especially just laying in the path waiting!
With all the broken pipes I would be tempted to make Frankenpipes! The little half white cabouchon would make a lovely sugar loaf for the dolls house perhaps - or a pudding? The monkey was gorgeous- you could easily refurbish him, you can do that with your skills.
Do you know, I think that you make a mockery of the phrase “needle in a haystack” when you find those tiny beads….

The glass cherub: it looks like it is blowing, so it might be the keeper of the winds Aiolos/Aeolus or any of the gods of a particular wind (Boreas, Zephiros, etc). The leaves on the pipe might be tobacco plant... Great mud/path lark!

Martin Mill is a village in East Kent that did have a Martin Mill Railway constructed in 1897 & relaid again during WWII as a Military Railway. Perhaps Highbury was a train stop ? 🤷. you took some very nice pictures, the first one of the water running down on the sand, and the seagulls footprints in the sand, loved that. Wish you could find your own signature when you are starting your videos, you can make one introduction that you use everytime of you and your mom. This was a wonderful lark! I am so in awe of the pipes you find, even the bits and pieces of broken pipe bowls and the bit of bowl with the long stem, I could never leave them! Have you ever considered making a collage of the bits? Maybe choosing one or two pipes and putting several pieces of that type, from many broken pipes into a picture in some way? I would LOVE to see you make something of the like! And would also love to see this in your shop if you have one. I would be very interested and think it would be lovely as a picture into the past! I do enjoy your videos so very much. Many condolences on the loss of Her Majesty The Queen.
Can’t wait for your next outing. My dollhouse inspired by you is becoming an obsession and your skills and imagination spark so many unique creations in my “Dragonfly Cottage’. Just about to lay a carpet in the library then Kate must make more books so will be busy for many hours. Hi, another fruitful lark in the mud, love the Ally Soper pipe - very well spotted, but then you are both so good at spotting the tiny tiny treasures. Sad to think of all the dolls with cloth bodies that have rotted just leaving their limbs (and heads) behind. Love the melted glass ink bottles - so wonky and cute. Another enjoyable time! I was thinking I bet that bead fell out of someone's pocket onto the path, and I bet happens more than you realize. Not everyone is a dedicated lark like you two. They aren't equipped to.safely transport their finds back to the car. Nor do they stop to look if they drop something. From time to time you might want to keep a look out on the way back. That beautiful doll cup, with no handle could be a wonderful china pot or planter as the victorians loved to display. Thank you so much.
