I'm going to miss The Dillinger Escape Plan
many will
I do as of this day
I hope they come back one day many years from now and do a nostalgia tour
Yeah, but they quit at a great time, when they were still on a high and on good terms with each other. Better than bands that just go slowly downhill...
The Kwillis I would love to see that but I doubt it would be a full tour, probably just a show, if not just one maybe a handful. Dont think they’d wear out their return hype
Gonna miss Dillinger so much. I never saw them live. DAMN IT!!!! This was a great interview. Super intelligent person
I Offend Everyone better make it to the final NY show
Taimir Gore when is this show?!?! I haven't seen anything announced!
I bet they'll tour again sometime.
Final shows are Dec 27th, 28th and 29th. 27th was just recently added. The other 2 shows are sold out. Show is at terminal 5 in NYC. Got my tickets :-)
I saw them back in 2003 a couple times in Ontario way before they were really well known and they were AMAZING. Never got a chance to see them again but would have loved to see their newer stuff performed live.
They ended their career with one of their finest songs,Symptom of a Terminal Illness
skijumpnose true, that shit rips.
I love Low Feels my globs
And happiness is a smile
Been listening to DEP since Calculating Infinity came out and someone sent it to me on IRC. Never got to see them until one of their FINAL SHOWS and if I hadn't seen them ever I don't think I could have lived with myself. I will miss this band so much. Well, I do miss this band so much. It's been 4 years already and I'm here.
The most dangerous band ever to take the stage. Thanks for the memories guy's.
I'm glad I got to see these guys open up for Soundgarden right before Cornell passed. One of the best shows I've ever been to. I'm really gonna miss these guys. Good luck to everyone's future musical endeavors!
Bruh I was there too. The nine inch nails/soundgarden tour 😫
I have a feeling Graham is about 6 beers in on this video.
I actually got really sad when he said he didn't have a family, he really sacrificed that life for his art, that is as real as it gets.
There is something kind of bittersweet about Greg. I think his relationship with his music, his work so-to-speak is probably the most functional and fulfilling relationship he's ever had.
does everyone want a family? that's not everyones driving force for life. it's not a sacrifice
2DoobsMcJubes so does every other touring musician, especially in this genre cause some have to do it for the rest of their lives
Hes probably sterile after all the juice he took
@@MrMethadrine lol
This interview was amazing! extremely insightful, Greg gave great answers that delved deeper than most other artists do when they're being interviewed, yet it didn't spiral out of focus. Besides, everything he said seems very genuine, and it's nice to see Gruhamed interviewing someone from a band that we can clearly see he's really a fan of.
I'll miss TDEP a lot, it's one of my favorite bands, but I'm glad that it ended with such a strong album. It's like what Greg said, they would become a parody of themselves if they still kept going for any longer. Good things come in small packages, kids.
I just got into The Dillinger Escape Plan yesterday.............
I feel with you, brother.
Eduardo Jiménez I got into them last September and was lucky enough to see them on there last ever UK tour this year
Me too!
Sheeeeeeit man I been listenin' to these jokers since the first album, actually I don't think it was until Option Paralysis that I realized they were gonna be cult status like Black Flag or Metallica, I'm blessed to have been there through the whole journey, I saw them live twice and they're both in my top 10 live gigs of all time.
I would say you youngsters missed out, but their influence will live on and one of you will form a new band which will have a huge impact some day in the future.
Also who doesn't think they will have their own 'Hell freezes over' tour? Reunion within 10 years guaranteed.
You know I hear a lot of young people say that, either they wished they were there doing the classic rock era of the 60's and 70's, or the Thrash/Grunge era of the late 80's early 90's, but there's still a lot to be hyped for today, the internet can overload you with information about all these great bands from the past and you wind up missing the scene you could be enjoying now. My top 3 (of this decade) are Caligula's Horse, Painted in Exile, and Fallujah.
These guys opened up the main stage at Leeds Festival 2002 and I've never quite gotten over them since. Still gutted I'll never see them live again! It was amazing every time! Thanks for the memories!
how the hell they were allowed back there after reading 2000. gg allin copy cat
I always say if John Frusciante can rejoin RHCP, anything is possible. Who knows what the guys will wanna do in 20 years. Plus, money doesn’t last forever. Point blank, eventually a reunion will be in the cards.
Graham is doing a wonderful job interviewing, you can tell that he puts the interviewee at ease. This interview and the one he did with Mark Tremonti are among my favorites!
after 20 years of watching interviews, I like Grahms the best.
Have heard very few people how put that much emotion in their singing.
I respect him so much, they didnt give a fuck yet they made the most amazing music, I kinda hate them for that lol but he can do anything & if anyone deserves to be able to walk away on their terms, its Dillinger, theyre fucking legends imo
New Black Queen release, awesome!
I really hope they do a reunion tour one day. I never got to see them live!! :(
you can tell from the jokes that greg says + writes that he's a very intelligent guy. DEP was such a great band
Good interview!
Sad :( Loved seeing them Live in Europe. What a great front-man! Always remember you climbing around the rafters @ the SummerBlast Festival!
-Jason
Man I really feel sad they’re breaking up. I first saw them supporting SOAD in 2002 in London and was blown away. I’d never heard of them, and most people there hated it, but I thought it was fantastic and became a fan from then on
"when are we going to hear about what's next?"
"never, I'm going to do it under a pseudonym that nobody knows about"
*next: Greg Puciato - child soldier: creator of God*
Damn, who is this Greg puciato guy, he sounds so much like Greg puciato from dillinger escape plan...
Seems like such a cool dude.
Saw them perform at Carolina Rebellion on May 5th, and I'm so thankful that I was able to.
Could not have had better front man for DEP than Greg, I know he isn't a big fan of Miss Machine but it is a fantastic album.
This dude should do guest vocals for Soulfly again, his vocals in "Rise of the Fallen" are amazing
Wait what? I hadn't heard that. He covered for Max?
Damien INSANO just a feat in this soulfly song.
you should listen to Killer Be Killed, he team up with Max and the bassist from mastodon in this band
I heard some of that. Not bad at all.
His vocals are actually the best part of the song. The song itself is pretty boring
Hello this is Greg Pidgeoto from Pokemon 🤣
Love his most recent solo album. What a masterpiece.
Greg seems like a genuinely cool, sweet person
One of the most interesting band ever- WOW!!
Saw them 2 days ago!!! DAAAAMN!!!!!!!
Did anybody else think Greg was about to say DEP went Super Saiyan? Maybe just my wishful nerd thinking. That whole bit about them ascending and reaching a new level...
I'm glad I found this video so I know how up say his name.
I think I know what someone of tdep has dealing with. To overcome the struggles of what im assuming, I am infinitely glad they moved passed.
It's really bittersweet. What really sucks is I actually would have seen them live at Pointfest earlier this year in St. Louis, but just a few days before the concert, Chris Cornell committed suicide (RIP), and the concert was cancelled entirely, since Soundgarden was also supposed to play that day with them. I wish them all the best and I'll keep listening to their music.
2:05 Lol he’s really sizing up that coke can
I genuinely can't pick my favourite album because they are literally all perfect and I cannot separate them. Although I can pick my favourite songs from each in Greg's era:
Miss Machine: Panasonic Youth/Sunshine the Wearwolf/Baby's First Coffin
Ire Works: Horse Hunter/Mouth of Ghosts/Sick on Sunday
Option Paralysis: Farewell, Mona Lisa/Widower/Endless Endings
One of Us is the Killer: Understanding Decay/Prancer/Hero of the Soviet Union
Dissociation: Limerent Death/Nothing to forget/Symptom of Terminal Illness
LEGENDS
This band threw me way off hearing them. Such a strange yet awesomely made collection of songs. Thanks smackdown vs raw 2006.
I fucking love Dillinger
Greg already has KBK and Spylacopa so I'm more interested in what Ben is going to do, are we ever going to get that Ben/Kimbra collaboration?
The DEP has always been a victory
The first time I see an interviewer looks more confident than the musician
because true artists are humble people
Would love some more Killer be Killed!!
So that's how you pronounce it.
morrell park baby...one of the only ones that actually made it
Does anyone else think that he looks like he could be Vin Diesel's slightly smaller, edgier little brother?
Gabe Kennedy Vin unleaded
02:05 fulfilling the terms of his coca cola endorsement
The Dillinger Esc Plan better fking come back
I am serious.
Like so serious.
That's 2032-33.
The Dillinger Escape Plan is god!!!
The God of Mayhem & Destruction.
BETTER LOVERS
Fuck yes. New Black Queen.
Is he wearing a necklace, or is that a Frankenstein neck seam? Frankengreg
Hi
Bob Ross hi Bob
hello mister Ross
So THATS how you say his last name
But what does Corey Taylor think about this?
Never gets old
this really never gets old lmao
I'm glad this is still a thing.
"Never gets old" it got old months ago. Y'all are like those kids that watched the same episode of Teletubbies every single day and laughed at the same jokes used under the same circumstances.
Teletubbies is lit tho?
Who knew Vin Diesel was a signer? ahah
Greg is like everyone’s favorite asshole. Brutally honest but just oozes badassery.
Looks like he is interviewing travis bickle
Hey yeeeaaaahhh...
I liked disassociation but I don't think it comes close to Ire Works or even Option Paralysis. I could name a ton of unique sounds and segments of Ire Works songs but not much from their final release.
At least we still have Option Paralysis
Senzark ONE OF US is THE KILLAR!!!
Is your name supposed to be a play on Ion Dissonance?
Senzark ulcerate.... Also ion dissonance is one the best bands !!!
Love the close minded "métal" fans coming on Dillinger video and crying like babies on what "métal" is supposed to be lol so funny 😂
badcrowJC nobody has even done this yet. at the very least wait until there's an actual comment doing that.
Never understood why the broke up
Nicolas Arango Ben and Greg felt like it was time to end the project and move on. They felt like they wanted to explore new artistic directions outside of Dillinger
Nicolas Arango Everything ends, they chose a good time to do it, end it on a good note rather than wait for something to happen and cause a bitter breakup. They're final album was amazing to end on.
I get it, what I don't get is that they decided to break up just when they were at their highest note, getting worldwide recognition and all
because they don't do it for popularity or recognition instead they do it for their own artistic drive.
They've put out how many records now? 8? They've been a band for 20+ years. That's a long ass time man. People want to move on with their lives or their art.
Miss Machine was their best album
I'm trying to find the clip of Greg taking a shit on stage opening for avenged sevenfold
Come back to dillinger Escape plan
FUCK YES MORE BLACK QUEEN
Greg kinda looks like... a bird.
Guy Buddy pidgeotto
Julian Salazar Greg Pidgeotto
The yellow angry bird
Apparently he stopped taking roids...
greg coochiato!
and i always thought corey taylor had a big throat.....
Greg Puciato would whip the fuck out Corey Taylor. Vocally, and physically.
This is good news
He dropped off some muscle n' bubble?
Graham is faded af
This guy is a fucking genius
FIRST COMMENT AND LIKE!!!!
*slow clap*
First
worst undercut
Does he have mental health issues?
Reuben Dawe I can't confirm as I'm not a psychologist nor have I met him but it seems apparent that he does.
hes a fucking nutjob
Define mental health issues. He's fucking crazy.
He's got a severe anxiety disorder.
I soooo prefer Killer Be Killed anyways
haven't been good since miss machine anyway
+Mike M wrong, though Dissociation was not very good.
Kyle Benson Dissociation was the ever loving bomb was diggity, music is personal and all, but as a fan since calculating infinity, Dissociation is the bees knees bruh.
+The Modern Day American John Lennon I'm more of a One of Us is the Killer fan personally.
Kyle Benson That one is killer as well. Only one killer though, there can be only one.
One of the worst bands I've ever seen live. I liked a few songs long before I had seen them so I know what they're about. I got a guitar pick from the show. I hate that, too.
Dungzoo Go back to 2008 with your lame ass troll face profile pic.
I'm so glad that The Dillinger Escape Plan is breaking up. They haven't been an great band since the 1997-1999 era.
bmw_bri_328i lol boring idiot their are\were best math chaotic experimental hardcore banda
I remember watching DEP on golden gods live in 2013 and since then i havent heard a band worse than them. Absolute trash
ahah funny
The mix was bad at that show.
Agreed. Their sound might work in a studio but not live.
+Dungzoo They are good live, but that Golden Gods gig isn't helping that case. There are some vids of them that sound pretty good though.
yeah if you werent a fan of the band. it would sound like trash. the mixer/sound engineer really fucked up that performance but the last song Greg was breathing fire and smashing Billys drum kit. so, was already different to most acts that played, even with no sound!. xD ahah
I miss u greg
