By far the most comprehensive video on changing the battery. Thank you so much
Hi sir, Thank you very much for this video. You saved me something around R800. About five years ago I had the same problem and I paid the technician R900. He kept on pretending to be busy, only to find out this guy was just changing the battery. This time around I decided to check on UA-cam and found your video. The gate was giving me endless problems. I bought a new battery for R290.00 and changed it myself, obviously following everything you show us on your video. Now the gate is perfect and no more problems.
Thank you once again,
From Lucky, your proud subscriber 😂👍
You are actually better than some specialists out there ,Great stuff
Thank you. Great video 👍🏻. This is the most useful video I have watched so far.
Great video. Greetings from Mexico. I replace the battery with your video. Very nice. :)
That is awesome feedback. Thank you and well done!🤙

Good job brother
Dankie meester baie goeie video, my baie gehelp en geleer.
Thanks boeta! Champion 💪
Thank you - very helpful! 🙂👍
Take good care of it and it will last you for ages. The magnet sensor inside the box is prone to failing and may need replacing. Do an inside oil change when possible (servicing). Use WD40 on exterior axle wheel and gate wheels every 3 months, especially before heavy rain forecast. Don't keep remotes near oven, microwave or transformer-type power supplies.
Protect the inside computer with a piece of plastic because mice or insects can get inside and will crap everywhere on the green panel.
You see that bottom metal plate on which it is bolted. It is prone to corrosion (because I think South African metal company lied when making this weatherproof). It should be primed and painted. Mine is all rusty now. The dogs pee a lot on it.
Also next time, I will mount it higher up. It is 5 inches off the ground currently but modern-day floods made me wish that the cement base was twice that height.
love the input. Thank you
Thanks for the video, very helpful
You are welcome
Very nice detail

Is that a spare fuse that is made available for replacement at the 3:30 and 10:34 mark? I see that this fuse is not connected to anything.
It is
Thank you for the video I had an issue with my battery and changed it after watching this video. Quick one, do you know how to program a remote for D5 Evo?
Thank you for the feedback. Glad it could help you. As for programming a remote, not yet. My remote also broke and I need to replace it so stay tuned for that video. Stay blessed
Did u manage to program your remote? Its quite easy. Let me know and I'll type up an explanation for you
Hi there , I have the same motor but turning clockwise is not overriding the gate and putting it on manual? And the electrical button does not make the gate open either
Thank you for the question. However, I am no expert in troubleshooting. I basically took instruction from the contact on the video and replaced it. If that does not work, I suggest getting an expert to have a look at your motor. There might be something wrong with it.
Thank you soo much I now have a better understanding about this gate motor Thank you 👍
Do you happen to know the default master code for this system? My keypad keeps buzzing intermittently for no reason. I was advised that this was due to an incorrect code entry and was advised to enter the correct code to stop the keypad buzzing. However, this has not solved the problem.
No unfortunately not. So sorry. Did not get to the programming of the motor yet
Am trying to solve it out but it written motor fault or fuse fault and the didn’t cut but I observed that the panel it hot
Time to get a professional out to assist
My problem is battery, not charging , how do I fix that
Unfortunately I cannot help you there
Please help. I get error saying "Setup fail, no end stops found"...I do have end stops and it was working fine all along
try repeating the exercise. End stops must be picked up automatically.
@bushieswatboer1876 I think iv done it over 20 times, same result
@@kabelolethale8663 I guess its time to get a professional out
@@bushieswatboer1876 Thank God I was able to sort it out before it got to that. I unplugged it from the power supply and left it for a few days. Retried the whole process again a few days later and voilà, it was working🥳
@@kabelolethale8663 awesome stuff
HOW DO WE CONNECT A SOLAR PANAL TO THIS MOTOR
That is something that i would like for my motor as well and will share that once we have done so. Remember to subscribe and click the notification bell...
When can l but the battery
I am not sure I understand you
battery was fine, but not charing circuit ?
Sorry I am not with you right now?
when you say "Switch Off The Mains What Do You Mean"
I am referring to the circuit breaker where your gate motor draws power from
@@bushieswatboer1876 so what if I were kill the power to the whole house can I still do it or during loadshedding
@@bushieswatboer1876 because I just check and it seems like there's no circuit breaker.
@@DraxXThanos yes you can. As long as it is not receiving any power, then you are good
It looks like you are using the wrong battery. The battery terminals are too small.
Batteries for house alarms have small terminals, batteries for gates motors have large terminals.
I can't say that you are wrong but the batteries fit and works perfectly so I don't complain. The batteries are also bigger than the battery of our house alarm
