Just speaking for myself, but I find that covering games all the time gets old. Especially when you're known for covering a certain type of game or a certain era of gaming. You start to feel constrained and maybe a bit bored, which becomes a huge drain on creativity, so dabbling in your other hobbies and talking about them instead is often hugely refreshing on a personal level. Games are sometimes not even the thing we care about most, it's just what we got known for initially :)
Can't speak for anyone else you listed but if you look at Ian's twitter, he's expanding his focus to get out of a creative slump. Which I'm all for, really. As you say, this is a good episode!
I think it's an attempt to branch their brands a bit. Gaming is an enormous sphere now. Once a game is out it's only a matter of time before everyone and their hairdresser's gibbon has reviewed it, and almost everything that can be said about the game is said by somebody. There are also more review channels than ever, it's possible there's some level of worry that videos won't be as entertaining as the likelihood increases that any viewer has seen the game already reviewed 1, 3, 5 times across other channels. It's an immensely saturated market. Thus, to provide some level of variety I think they're trying to branch into generally comedic review, as opposed to solely game review. But that's just my 2 cents, could be totally different who knows, maybe they're just getting bored?
As I’ve gotten older I’ve come to appreciate retro tech more so it’s really cool to see you have been and continue to keep the technology alive in some way lol

Omg 4:52 is absolute gold. Comedy genius Moosey.
All I have to say is...
Oh woooow.
I think my favorite parts are the random endings the side characters get, the creepy neighbor's wife being an alien is funny but i was absolutely SENT that Africa guy went back to Africa with the totallynotBaywatch babe in tow.
Why is it that Jon, Jared, and Ian have all started to focus more on TV shows/movies than games? I still really like their videos, but it's different.
TheFallenCookie Ikr also out names seem way too similar lol
Lazy Game Reviews Love you LGR you can try an old TV show or look at the early videos sponsoring the introduction of the internet/AOL.
I gotta say, your content is going incredibly well, Brutalmoose! I hope to see more fantastic videos!
As I’ve gotten older I’ve come to appreciate retro tech more so it’s really cool to see you have been and continue to keep the technology alive in some way lol
