I always thought that was a reference to the long weekend John spent with Jessica on 9/11. Planes crashed on a Tuesday, it's implied they spent the weekend together, sat-tue = 4 days
I think this was a real bonding moment between the two. Reese left his girlfriend too, to protect her (kind of). They both sacrificed a lot for the people they care about.
And to think this fantastic new show was only nominated for 1 Emmy??? (Sound editing). And yet it won Best New Drama from the People Choice Awards. Michael Emerson's acting and this writing right here should have brought home a few more awards this year than just one! Will be watching POI in season 2 - and expecting far more totally deserved accolades from the industry!
The industry is rigged and stupid. The Barbie movie was a powerhouse intended to win a multitude of awards for its predominantly female cast and crew. Instead the only award it got was for its male support lead.
This show was so ahead of its time. The human touch made it stand out from all the tech sci fi shows. More like The Wire in the 21st century or Web 2.0 If you may!
Going back and watching all these great episodes from past seasons and I'm still amazed by the quality of the show. Really powerful lines from Finch. I'm still sad that we will only be getting 13 episodes in S5. I hope more people will watch this show. If you're new go watch it from the start it's amazing. If you stopped watching please give it another chance, you are missing a lot.
Yasha I can't describe how much I loved this show in the first two seasons. I also loved season 3 so much but season 4 was a huge disappointment to me... I think they somehow killed the show's perfection. I'm not saying season 4 was ''bad'', POI will always remain as my favorite show, but I loved the show much, much more in the previous seasons. And honestly, I don't look forward for season 5... Anyway, I guess my thoughts about the show is a bit complicated :D
Mert Con may I ask why you think the show killed its perfection this season 4? I for one think s3 was their best and my favorite season by far but S4 has a lot of memorable and really great episodes too. If you truly love the show, I hope you still support them in S5 despite their imperfections. :)
Of course season 4 has some great moments but I really don't think it was good in general. There are so many reasons why I didn't like it. I can write some of them if you want me to, but I don't really want to talk about it.
Personally I think once season 3 rolled round, everything started to rush a bit. The Samaritan stuff to me, came way too early; what with season 2 having only introduced Decima and their plan to control the Machine properly in Zero Day and God Mode. Plus the sense I always got in the earlier seasons was that, as The Machine grew from reviewing data and surviving various attacks on its system, it became more and more person-like as a course of action. This was especially shown in Harold's efforts to test and teach the Machine when he and Nathan were making it. The flashbacks in season 4's 'Prophets' seemed to fly in the face of this idea and suddenly The Machine had always been a life. Which doesn't fit really with Harold's insistence that its only a Machine. If I had to work around 42 evil versions of The Machine before even starting; I'd be a bit more understanding when people called it a life. I think some stuff on Decima trying to control The Machine would have been good, before moving on to Samaritan and the side Root was on being more ambiguous. Like her not necessarily being on Harold's side, just on The Machine's side using orders as the analogue interface and questionable means. I think it also would've been cool if Shaw remained on the Relevance side of things; 1. So we could see more of relevance from the inside. 2. When Root and Shaw became main characters, it got a bit crowded with 4 main characters to focus on. I honestly wonder if the show suffered the wrath of the studio executives wanting to hurry things up. It just seems to me to suddenly speed up during season 3.
Blacklist was a horrible show, the writers for it had no clue what they were doing with the story, the only good seasons were the first couple ones; everything after that was garbagió
I just realized that these are 2 separate takes. In the first take Harold immediately gets up and leaves after saying "I built it". However in this flashback he is still sitting in the chair and does not get up.
Yeah, this isn't the season finale but thank you soooooooo much for uploading this, I've been looking for it for days. Such a sad scene I just want to hug poor Finch :(
seeing that ladys face at the end always gives me chills, dunno what it is, her expression, the music, something really creepy bout her eyes or something
This episode is slightly related to edward snowden. Being the wistle blower on mass surveillance here peck would have been the wistle blower but finch saves him.
@@flea10x6 You're right. There's another episode later on where they pretty much mention him. I have forgotten the context, but it was referring to him
I can't understand people not liking season 4!!!!!! You might as well say this is the begining of the making of season 4. For John finding out why Harold dose what he dose, made him think. There is no life what he is doing. Harold said, I had 4 years of bliss, some people have only 4 day. John had only 4 days, and he will never see her again, shes dead. Alicia look at the end, was of shock. She though they killed the right person, who made the machine. Then she though how many times have they been wrong in killing the right person? Harold did say, look at this you figure it out, but instead they would shoot and say problem salved. They wanted one person dead for what he knew. they killed so many inacent lives because of the machine. Why did Hersch think that was ok? In my opinion he was the tearorist. Chirp
I did feel soory for Finch, but I also thought that if Grace ever found out that he's really alive she's gonna kill him. Finch just might end up being the next number as far as his fiancee's concerned.
You know, you may just be right. I am straight but have lots of gay guy friends and they just agreed with you - and they love POI. Most on POI are straight but not so the industry = good luck with awards. One argument against your theory - POI is SO popular and the acting / writing so strong it would be very hard to ignore Emmy Award winner, Michael Emerson, and others on Team POI this year. (But we also saw other awesome talent snubbed by Emmy's this year)... Vote up the Peoples Choice!
"I was lucky. I had four years of happiness...some people only get 4 days." That hit hard when I first heard it
Some of the dialogue in this series was phenomenal, particularly at the end of episodes
And some people only get two weeks, 😕😕
And some get only 3 weeks
I always thought that was a reference to the long weekend John spent with Jessica on 9/11. Planes crashed on a Tuesday, it's implied they spent the weekend together, sat-tue = 4 days
So true!
Still miss this show in 2023!
"some people only get four days" in reference of John. He finally quit the maine and started a life with Jessica, only to leave again.....
I think this was a real bonding moment between the two. Reese left his girlfriend too, to protect her (kind of). They both sacrificed a lot for the people they care about.

And Bear (not in this clip obviously) should have won a Best Supporting Actor.

'Some people only get four days'
Im glad to see im not the only one who has watched the show over & over.
Pilot, Cura te ipsum, Mnany happy returns. My fav so far.
My favorites are 4C and Shadow Box

Amen
Those were the days when I was passionate about this damn show.
Alicia Corwin wouldn't have been killed by Root if she had left it all alone. "The cat" isn't the only one killed by curiosity.
This movie has heightened my curiosity to learn Artificial intelligence . Great show !!.
This is definitely one of the best episodes.
and Jim Caviezel as the best actor
This was absolutely the very best show. Person of Interest and Blacklist, it gets no better than that.
Blacklist was a horrible show, the writers for it had no clue what they were doing with the story, the only good seasons were the first couple ones; everything after that was garbagió

Alicia corwin was just curious about the mysterious machine.
the music is sooo beautiful
David bowie at the end there!
"I'm Afraid of Americans" by David Bowie
@_Bagginshield it says "God is an American". Other parts include "I am afraid of Americans" which we are.
and yet it was Americans who really made him rich and famous, did he walk away, no.
This episode is slightly related to edward snowden. Being the wistle blower on mass surveillance here peck would have been the wistle blower but finch saves him.
Crazy that it was before Snowden, the show writers were blown away snowden even looks kind of like him
if memory serves the First season was essentially right after Snowden and thought somehow it was predicated on Snowden’s leaks

Well said

Based on what I've read, I have a feeling the season finale will be incredible
Nice use of Bowie at the end. Very fitting.
I did feel soory for Finch, but I also thought that if Grace ever found out that he's really alive she's gonna kill him. Finch just might end up being the next number as far as his fiancee's concerned.
Nahh
No according to Wikipedia there are only 23 episodes in Season 1. Which means next week's episode will be the finale
he built an app 'that alerts him if he ever gets within a hundered meters'... sounds like the "Corona Warn-App" from Germany. xD
Hi, just thought I'd let you know that this wasn't the season finale, there's one next week :)
how did they create the machine for the show? cgi?
11 years?!
what is the song at the end?

Who was the lady?
alicia corwin.
Actually its the opposite. Look at history, when gays were recognized for the misfits they are, things went a lot better.
