    Not surprised. Not a day goes by without seeing a Tata owner crying about his vehicles pathetic condition.
    No social media platform is safe from this. Even the Crashlane group where accident contents are posted, are littered with posts of rusting tatats or them breaking down even though not related.
    The service centre becomes your second home when you buy a Tata. Instead of improving Land Rovers unreliability, they seem to have adapted that character. Atleast there are some old Tatas that can actually hit 3-4 Lakh Kilometres before falling apart.

      Bro, if you watch my video here on this channel, in 2022 I drove my 3L safari VX from mumbai to kargil army base solo.
      I went via Manali and returned via Kashmir. Drove from Banhihal pass in Kashmir to Ajmer in Rajasthan 30.5 hours including landslide time at Ramban. I drove through Punjab and Haryana in heavy rain literally.
      That safari saw all weather.
      From mumbai to haryana and Punjab extreme heat....then on cold in hp and snow further on.
      During return heavy rain.
      I drove from sarchu to kargil base over 2 days with a night stop at leh on 62 % oxygen. I had faith my safari would take me. Because if I didn't have that faith and in that health I would have been in a bad situation with AMS. That car in 2 lac kms never gave me any issues. 2006 model. It came with factory fitted reverse camera , abs air bags and heated side mirrors for frosty condions, Blaupunkt music systems and lcd screens. All this in a 2006 model.
      If you ask me if I would buy a new tata vehicle ...my answer is no for these very same reasons and of them catching fire without warning . Hence I bought Toyota and very happy till date.
      If you ask me would I drive a brand new Tata vehicle from mumbai to even pune without fear...my answer is no.
      Will I drive a brand new tata vehicle solo like what I did with my safari...close to 7000kms in 14 days...NEVER!!!!

    Tata's 98% of dealerships and after-sales service are the worst. I like Tata cars, but because of the irresponsible dealerships, I am afraid to buy a Tata car.

    I have a 16-year-old Maruti Suzuki SX4, and I haven't experienced a single breakdown or instance where I got stuck (except for tyre punctures). While I appreciate Tata's design language and 5-star safety rating, I would still choose to buy Maruti again due to the trust I have in the brand.

      @@solitaryxripp3r137Bro 3 years is nothing. And the fact that it’s a hit or a miss is enough for people to prefer Hyundai, Suzuki, Toyota, Honda, etc. over Tata. Mahindra’s engines might be reliable but can’t say much about electronics in their recent vehicles like xuv700. Only time will tell for those.

      Design language of new tata cars are shit!!! Tatti and ugly looking cars ..if you notice carefully all tata cars have same design language....same headlight on the bumper concept, same connecting taillight concept😂😂....only old tata cars like safari dicor/storme, tata sumo, etc looked good with their clean and elegant look timeless design

    I did my first paid service yesterday from TATA. They treat my like how SBI employees treat customers.. Very sub standard experience. I went there in morning 10 AM and received the car at 5:50 PM . Nothing major was done . Also the car was was just sitting in the parking lot after wash and they didnt even bother to ask me for test drive if all the minor issues are solved .. Very bad experience

    I think owning a reliable car with 3 star safety rating is better than owning something so unreliable. You can be extra cautious while driving to make up for 2 stars but you cannot make up for unreliable and incompetent after sales service

      Definately , also above 10 lakh apart from kia every car is least 4 star rated or capable of achieving that . People purchasing tata in that segment are just purchasing cars for the sake of ''made in India'' batch , apart from that even budget maker like maruti make better cars than tata in above 10 lakh bracket for ICE engine cars

      Bhai physical safety de dengi ye Indian Tata Mahindra but mentally mar dengi to kya hi karenge safety ka. Last 11 mahine me tang ho Gaya hu XUV700 se. But ab change nahi kar sakta to sab bear karna pad raha hai

    Fault is also with consumer not being aware and still buying unreliable cars like Tata Mahindra only looking at safety perspective but not at reliability and after sales service.

    I will say - instead of spending 28-30 lakhs on cars, buy Maruti cars - it is cheaper and way much better after market sales in comparison to Tata - Mahindra and put the rest of the money in banks and make Fixed Deposit.
    I agree Maruti cars are not safest - however, even 5-Star cars also do not survive any major accidents. So drive slowly and safely and on highways, please do not go over 80-100 km/hr - even if the board says 120km/hr as max speed and please avoid night driving.
    I am a middle class girl and this is my way of thinking. Buying expensive cars and doing showoff will land you nowhere. Save money today - money will look after you tomorrow when you get old.

      Even if you do not go above 60, it's still unsafe. Maruti cats are literally unfit for driving anywhere else. It's impractical to not drive above 60. And expensive cars aren't just for show offs.

    I am also a TATA owner, and after-sales is indeed really bad. The only thing is the car safety, that made me buy this car.
    For example: My altroz car was 4 months old but was punctured on Bangalore road, a metal rod was sticking and slashed my tyre in such a way that the tyre was deflating in 1 min.
    So had to replace the tyre and tyre size was 185/r16 MRF Wala tyre and this profile is new started in 2023 only
    When I asked Tata dealers they were saying MRF nahi hai this profile, doosra milega, called all dealerships in bangalore. Then I will have to replace all 4 tyres in a new car. I said I would wait but bring me MRF only, took many calls, messages, ignore calls for almost 1 week to get quotation.
    The cost was almost 1K more than the retail MRF outlet, I wanted to get it done in the TATA workshop for good work sinceits new car. Since my insurance doesnt cover tyres, I went into MRF retail store got tyre replaced in 45 min literally, They also didnt have this profile but got it from distributor.

      Have you told the dealership about how you literally got your tyre changed in 45 minutes? All the dealrship had to do was get a tyre from MRF and give it to you.

      @@jeettrivedii I haven't, I was happy that eventually it got resolved, even its outside TATA workshop. I stopped questioning them on their answers and behavior, because even if I asked any questions - they say something like "Sir this happens like this only" even technical things in the car.
      You will be more educated on some of the topics then them and realise, there is not point in arguing with them for your own sanity.

    The salesmen around the internet will say every other brand faces similar issues.
    Till now, only 1 major issue has been reported of Grand Vitara after 1+ Lakh units being sold. Meanwhile there are hundreds of Harrier/Safari horror stories, about rusting, breakdowns, electronical niggles, pathetic sales service, etc. Buy a Grand Vitara, Brezza or even Verna. All these vehicles are safe enough and there's definitely a much lesser chance of them being a Dissapointment.
    Both these brands, Tata and Mahindra have been known to test their products using their customers as a Guinea pig, "Buy a first batch Tata/Mahindra car and you'll become a part of their R&D".
    Such a shame that since Indica era, the quality issues have not been resorted.

    I bought nexon diesel last yr but now I regret it.
    सिर्फ Safety नहीं होती gaadi me or bhi cheeze होती है.
    देश भक्ति 😢😢😢.Tata अपनी गलती नहीं theek kar rahi hai. Uper service centre की mehngi service.1 st free service me 800 rs only for greasing 😂. 200 rs पूरे साल greasing हो jayegi.
    Poor quality of paint,rubber parts, 1 st gear stucking, body roll over.
    I used Maruti,Tata,ford ,hyundai.
    Hyundai ही theek hai.not great but better then these🙏

      My Hyundai exter's first service cost me 0 rs.
      I hope ur car lasts 5+ years.
      My cousin's tata nexon started rusting in 3 years.
      While my dad's 2003 alto is yet to get rusted..

      @@94balkrishna yup it's very painful to see the car that I fell in love rusting in few years.
      After driving his car for the first time and seeing how spacious it was, i also planned to get it but, due to financial constraints I had to put it on hold.
      Then covid started. Later I thought about going for the punch. I then witnessed the uninterested behaviour in the tata showroom. They are like govt office, gave me the pamphlet and left. I asked for test drive they said that there is no car.
      They were like, buy or leave don't waste my time.
      I drove my colleague's punch as I wanted to feel the car.
      I then thought for c3 as my friend got one.
      Later exter was launched.
      Hyundai's customer service was outstanding. They told that test drive car isn't there but, tomorrow they would bring it to my home, and they did.
      Loved it and bought it😊

      And who buys a Tata car at 30 lakhs🤔🤔 a 6 wheeler Tata 1612 LPT truck will cost lesser than this car😂😂 the owner should buy this truck instead😂😂

    I always wanted to buy Nexon as my 2nd car. Ended up finalizing Brezza. The tata service centre people don't even under the modern electronics used in the cars. Neither trained nor well behaved.
    Have a Venue too and the Hyundai service is top notch.

    It is entirely TATA' s fault. No dealer wants to earn bad name because they are the one facing the customer . A happy customer will bring in more customers. The dealer couldn't repair the vehicle with available expertise. I am sure they would have called TATA but since TATA didn't respond, the dealers too are not responding.

    I have been using Mahindra XUV 500 since 2018. Except 2-3 minor faults, vehicle never gave me any serious trouble till date.
    Once the breakpads warning came on hilly highway and I had no options n but to drive another 200 odd kms till destination.
    Car got me to location safe and sound.
    Next day morning a Mahindra service station of small town, received us as their own family and took our vehicle on priority and replaced front disks and pads for a cost of 13000. And we got the vehicle back on road in mere 40 mins.
    Watching this video, gave me clarity for my next choice of vehicle, given a confusion between Scorpio n or tata safari.

    Despite being a TATA MOTORS fan, I have already done the sharing part intenting to let this unpleasant ordeal be known to many.
    Nevertheless, I would like to express my feeling of inability to be believe something as described could happen.

    Ateast maruti is not like that....I buyed brezza on 17th of december last year and it broked on 2nd of jan this year....Within 10hr they picked up my car and solved the issue and I got the car back within 3days...I have old nexon too and its ac is getting stopped every 1-2months.In service centre they are keeping the car for 4days just to repair the ac.....always they are charging 2k .....This is shamefull....Only build quality doesnt matter,,,we need good liable cars too....BTW happy to have brezza its a safe car too....If you want to go with maruti buy either brezza or fronx otherwise all other maruti car are made of paper.....

      I also own a brezza 2023, had the option of buying nexon also... Did not want to spend more than 15lacs and wanted automatic... Checked out nexon amt, there were other things I did not like, but the driving experience sucked with amt.. Then itself decided to go with Brezza automatic now 12k km done... Had a few issues.. But got solved within a day.. As and when informed... Im happy I opted for it instead of nexon

    One thing I have learnt from so many videos of tata vehicle. Buying a tata car is like buying a lottery or a gamble. Gaadi chali toh chalte jaayegi.. jis din ruki toh khatm. Jo desh ka loha bolke phekta hai unka akal bhi loha hi hai.. andar kuch nahi hai.
    After buying tata car find a best mechanic nearby you who has a knowledge about the car. Build a better relationship with that mechanic rather than the dealer atleast the local mechanic will be helpful in resolving it. Rather than the regular service interval mentioned in the manual. I don't think visting the service center is even worth it anymore. Rather than frustration and regrets of buying the car.

I will never ever buy a car from Tata or Mahindra no matter what, My hard earned money is important than any thing or emotion. all these Japanese and Korean brands know their business very well and they provide quality products and also they pay their taxes like other brands so choose your car brand wisely.

      In first case I paid 40% of the bill , but then realised from a harrier costumer he said to me my dealer was also charging this amount but I complained to TAMO OFFICAL then they made my bill completely free, then I did the same
      My query is how pathetic the service centre of TATA MOTORS are,
      And do you know how expensive the spare parts of tata cars compared to HYUNDAI, HONDA ,FORD, it's ridiculous to see when the car is not reliable and they are charging such huge amounts

    The main issue with a new facelift car is many. Facelift gives you more electronics, making you vulnerable to errors.
    The staff are not trained to this model. The software is not updated. Erasing a software and writing on top is the easy thing a service station can do. But if the error is not found it will automatically pop up while new version in installed.
    Many service station do not have trained staff for the new model.
    For these reasons,I am satisfied with my Nexon 2022 not going for the facelift.

      No the main problem is the whole electronic modules and components of so called vocal for local company is outsourced from cheap Chinese makers unlike. So the Tata employees have zero clue to troubleshoot any error. Tata motor has been consistently the biggest importer from Chinese auto components

    Tata and mahindra products are worst
    1) no proper test and trail
    2) no proper engineered products( only relying on 1 st grade tensile strength steel)
    3) after sales market is worst
    So better go for honda, jeep, volkswagen and skoda even though expensive

    I am owner of Tata Nexon and its not a bad product by any way. Apart from fit n finish quality, NVM everything is good. The bad thing is SVC and the SVC Engineers. Hopefully TATA will address the problem regarding quality check and SC issues. I'm very much waiting for KIA Seltos performance in BharatNCap. Hope it scores 5* then maximum people might switch to KIA.

    7 years back I bought a fiat Aventura (one of the last few fiat cars in india probably) as I parked my car was also stranted...but fiat team came that night and corrected it before that FCA service head personally assured me that if it's not get solved that night we will replace the car with a new one

    I am considering to buy Seltos GT line 1.5 turbo DCT or Virtus GT+ DSG or Slavia 1.5 DSG Style variant or new Verna 1.5 turbo SX(O). But suddenly realised that lets choose reliability and efficiency over performance and features, so I am considering Honda City Hybrid ZX variant. Can anyone say, will Honda City Hybrid have better resale value than these above mentioned cars ?

    My family was stranded on an elevated expressway for 2 hours due to a faulty fuel indicator. It was showing140 km left to empty, but the engine switched off suddenly on the high-speed elevted expressway. The reliability of the new harrier is very poor. So far the car has faced 03 fault issues. But on the other hand i would like to thank Tata motors on sohna gurugram road. Their employee took extra efforts to rectify the issue and went beyond his authorised duties.

    Ask TATA to change the ECU. It should be covered in your warranty. Also, go and consult with a local experienced, efficient mechanic. For typical problems, never go to ASCs, whether TATA or Hyundai. These mechanics work on a tunnel vision mode. Typical problems are beyond their syllabus!. Dont worry. These vehicles are mechanically sound. If the electronics is faulty, changing the appropriate component should do the job.
    I chose TATA only because of patriotic/sentimental reason. Both TATA/Mahindra are filled with flaws. But it will take time for them to reach perfection. If you "trusted" TATA as a reliable brand you were terribly wrong.

    3yrs old ford ecosport had an issue with starter motor and my friend got a prompt response and RSA picked up the car same day from garage to svc (120km far) in a flat bed tow van without a single question asked. Got the car serviced and delivered within 3 days. Even though ford left .. they still providing quality service. TATA to learn a lot from them.

    This thing can happen with any brand! Similar issues were faced by one of my friends with Renault! And Tata is not the problem here, the problem is the dealership, so before buying a car everyone should verify the credibility of the dealership first!

And if you think that other brands are well polished, then i guess you somehow are not receiving any info of other brands, or dont want to know about their products. All companies handle situations differently. You believe that only tata and mahindra have problems, but it might be your own news delivering system, which is molded as per your news preferences, according to which, you would get news only from the topics you like. In technical terms its called information bubble, google's search engine, youtube algorithm, news agencies, they all use this funda to personalise the content for each individual. This is why you would never get any news from brands such as Audi Fiat Honda Opel and the list goes on, they performed even worse than Tata or mahindra in all domains.
      Moving to the next level, corporates are very much aware about their image in general public, and are very much cautious about what is going on in the market and what is going on with the customer. They already know how much traffic is covered on internet by their company name. So they simply buy/ bribe the news outlets or agencies on internet, to never mention or use their company's name, when any incident occurs against the goodwill of the company. No wonder why you might never heard of mercedes being shut down or broke down on road, well they do too, but their news never comes out or go viral.

      this happens in other countries, not in India. Companies do take full responsibility of their mistake, and replace the damaged parts or assembly, or full product, when its found to be faulty at manufacturing level.
      As per the standard deviation in the normal distribution curve in manufacturing, ALL manufacturing processes thus makes min 3% of all products faulty, no matter the industry, no matter the product, no matter the company, always, everywhere, it happens, its natural and normal, and its un-avoidable. During investigation if they find that the product belongs to that 3% of faulty products, they simply replace it for free, and keep the customer happy, without damaging the brand image/ value.
      This also does not happen in India because companies are more interested in making profit rather than solving the issues or their own customers.

    Bhai ye Tata Mahindra 10 star safety har mature buyer thi keh raha hai. 5 star inke build ke aur 5 star jab chalegi hi nahi to accident hoga hi nahi. Aap complete safe ho. Bought xuv700 Ax5 diesel in November 2022 and by October 2023, in past 11 month I visited service center 9 times, though their response was satisfactory but my question is why??? I have Vw polo 2013 1.2 MPI and in last 10 year I visited service center 11 times 10 for schedule service and 1 for body shop work. These 2 Indian companies are worst and really pathetic but the sense of complacency we are living in is the only reason that nothing will change

    Might be some loose wiring issue(Rat), open bonnet and see the motor connection with battery.
    Check for bites
    Use multi meter, for Tata self diagnosis is better.
    Disable battery and try ( kind of restart).
    Also read owner manual carefully, particularly the starting process. I believe some minor thing only.
    Finally pray to God as well..All the best

    Buy Skoda or VW, my rapid is just clocked 1 lakh km without any problem and if you live in NCR region then service is very good at any service centre. Recently Rapid had to towed twice in two weeks but it wasn’t any hustle for me. Vehicle update and repair was also top notch. I never dared to buy any Indian brand because of this reason only.

    avg tata car 😂. owner should have opted for tucson ,compass, kodiaq . better power features nd 4*4 capability. Better comfort nd luxury nd the list goes on for Germans nd Koreans.
    Or if the owner wanted the same engine then the Jeep compass would be a better opt..

      kodiaq, compass, tucson had similar issues, just like any other model of any other company, its just you didnt know about this. so its doesnt mean tata is the only one having such problems for the 1st time. german cars are less reliable than korean cars, and korean cars are less reliable than japenese or swedish. comfort is a subjective topic, but apart from that, german cars are treated worse in germany that tata is treated in india 💀.
      so if you dont know about them, does not mean they are better in some ways, lol

    May be consumer court can be an option. Like tumne 28-30Lac invest kiye and car suddenly 2 days mai kharab ho jaye. Also service centre doing these type of things. So may be this can be an option.

    Ye sab isiliye hota h kyuki ajkal ki gaadiyo me jarurat se jyada electronic features aa gye h. Humne 2006 me alto li thi aur vo aj b achi chl rhi h bus R.C renew karva di thi rto se. Halaki humne 2023 me baleno be li h..lekin alto ko becha nhi kyki usme koi problem he nhi ati...😊

    And these are not dealership things these are manufacturing defects stop blaming it all on dealer, they are like catalyst to reaction, increasing your DKL sentiments.

    Mere saath v same issue hua tha 2 baar with my new safari . I purchased on 27th December and problem occurred on 3rd January .RSA aane keliye bht der kardi but after jump start engine started but after clearing the engine check lamp sab thik hua but service center wale bole battery main kuch problem nhi hay aur kuch identify kar nhi paye per ab to thik chl rha hay.

    I own Tata nexon creative plus varient. Same issue happend with me. I got tons of warning when i switch on the ignition after my car was parked for 2 days. Now here is the issue
    Car battery drain out and the MID was showing "smart key out of Range" but key car pe hi thi... Ye issue battery drain hone ki wajah se aati hai. Ur mere case me Galti meri thi mene properly car off nhi ki thi. But jab mene TATA service center call kiya to vo ghar per aake unhe apne car se power deke hamari nexon start kr diya.. Fir ham car ko drive per le gaye uske bad As per user mannual mene 10-15 min 3000 RPM pe car ko rev kiya (ruk ruk ke not continuous) jisse battery charge ho gyi and Now There is no issues at all.

    mechanic fault/issue ko bhi aajkal sofware update or reset karke resolve karte hain , but issues mechanical or sensor malfunction or bad connection se ho sakte hain.

    After a clutch change at a local mechanic, I drove my Maruti 800 for 500+ kms without any problems. When I gave it to Maruti certified service center for routine service, they told me that the local mechanic had not connected the radiator fan to the battery after the clutch change and was surprised that the engine did not overheat.

    Tata owns JLR this shows in their newer cars. JLR is the most unreliable car brand in the luxury segment above Chrysler and some other brands so tata inherited the Omega Arc platform as well as the unreliability of it. Stop buying impractical psedu suvs there is no purpose of such cars just to intimidate others. They are unreliable their electronics are not sorted like Land rovers and Jaguars if you don't believe me try to search about JLR reliability on any autoforum so tata is just like the company's they own. They may have fancy interiors and way too much electronics but remember it will fail in some time in case of tata the quality control is worst their car fails the moment they exit the showroom. This is serious remeber this before investing north of 3 M's in this type of a car.

    I had same experience in tata dealership in 2019 at bhopal showroom. They are not able to provide test drive of latest facelift model of nexon after 1 month of followup. Hence i dropped plan of buying nexon and switched to creta and i am happy with their services. At that time i thought if they are not able to provide test drive and how they give after sales and services😂

    same happened with me… now they will said wiring issue due to mouse.. and it will not cover under warranty. they said claim the insurance and after one month they handover the car…same happened with harrierzx+

    This is very true, their service isn't up to the expectations. Vehicles are also not properly checked b4 making it available for sale. I own punch and everytime face issues. People choose Tata because it's Indian brand and is safe car otherwise it wud not be possible for it to survive.

    I too own a Nexon which is 2 years old now. It developed some noise in the shock absorber.. it sounds worser than an old Qualis. But the service centre 1st said they can't hear any noise.. After I pointed out specifically, they say that it's Normal to develop this noise and will not do anything to fix the issue though the vehicle has a 5 year warranty.

    Instead of updating the software won't be enough to resolve the issue. If this still doesn't start, then there is major problem, which has to get diagnosed to know the root cause. Tata Motors, please help this customer, and upgrade the dealerships and the service centers so that it can match to the other brands.

    I owned a tata safari dicor back in 2009, it was so expensive to maintain, when i switched to mahindra i am much more satisfied. In safari i had to pay service bill of upto 48000 rs, that too twice before it reached 85000km, in mahindra i have never paid anything above 18000rs.🙏

    Such incidents push mass buyers towards buying unsafe cars. Had service of tata or mahindra be at par with suzuki, toyota, honda or hyundai they would have been No.1 & No.2 by now.

    Only a slope detection sensor is malfunction, it can be onboard system malfunction also but not a big fault.
