Hey! The 77 wing is great. Best look for sure. I loved the look of the boxer engine. My idea is to look like a muscle motorcycle. Huge engine in a small body. Unfortunately I don’t have much time recently but in January I’ll speed up the build. Stay tuned for that. Enjoy your project! 🏍🛠🤟
Very impressive - both your engine work and video production! Quick question and quicker concern: Q: Where did you source the ring compressors you used to bring the two halves of the block together? C: Maybe you just didn’t record it, but it appeared as though you did not place the spring and washer behind the oil filter. That’s a mandatory part of the canister filter design - without it the oil doesn’t get properly filtered... Again, very nice work!!
Thank you so much I really appreciate it. Q: I got them from eBay. Made for “veteran motorcycle”. Honestly it isn’t a good quality and made me sweat during the job. If I did it again I would use a hose clamp. You only have to compress the top two compression rings. The oil rings will just slip in easy. C: Good spot! Yes I forgot those pieces. I realised when I edited the video. I will make a video correcting the mistake. Also I missed a dowel of the front cover bottom left corner just under the oil filter😜 🛠🏍🤟

Rebuilding engines and transmission is so good and satisfying, but video production is a terrible hassle, isn't it? A production note for you: from about 7:46 to about 9:20, the setting sun coming in through the window was too bright. There was too much contrast. Every time the sunlight came into the picture, the camera stopped down, the image grew very dark, and we could not see what you were doing. Before and after that part, the light was even and diffuse, so we could see clearly. Maddening, isn't it? I am watching this, so I am interested. Keep going! 🙂

That was the reason for that very bad light setup. I learned a lot through these videos. Now just only getting better. I’ll be continuing the build very soon. 🏍️🛠️👍
