- I made a greenhouse out of old windows and doors, and 100% reclaimed wood that I got locally for FREE! I look forward to sowing vegetable seeds and more here for my allotment garden... things are coming along nicely! :)

What a fantastic garden and greenhouse. You truly showed the ability to repurpose and build a bespoke, unique (and all the wonderful social media words) greenhouse. I love the colours too.
Thanks for sharing. Jane
What a very cute mini greenhouse! I have been thinking about doing this for years but most videos I have seen are big ones! Nice job!
Best vid yet! Extremely jealous of the greenhouse
Thanks David, I agree... and the most fun to make! :D
thanks to Danny for linking this. Amazing build.
Thanks Lin :D I owe him one!

Hi Tommu. Danny from Grapevine sent me over and very interesting I must say looking at your channel. I have 12 glass doors in my garage so plan being drawn up. Looking forward to view your channel. Take care.
Ahh what a nice guy! Woop woop, sound perfect could have an amazing all-opening structure?! Sounds great though... maybe see a video in the future on it? :)
I love this greenhouse!
Thank you Donna :D
Such a lovely greenhouse
Thank you so much :)
Danny from Grapevine allotment recommended your channel. Great build btw 👍🏻

Tuyệt quá, giọng Phúc ấm áp quá
Cảm ơn rất nhiều 😊👍
I love your greenhouse!
Hi again...I wondered if you could make a bug hotel sometime?! They are very expensive to buy! but I'm sure fairly straightforward to make...just need to get the frame right. I have two little grandsons who would be fascinated by one I'm sure! Thank you !!
Hello Jackie! Thats a god idea, I did not know they were expensive to buy?!
@@tommydaviesx The little ones are8nt but you could only really get ants in them! I'd like to make a bigger one 🤣 xx
Love this!!
Thanks Alex mate 🤜
Fantastic! Love it
From Danny, again. Love your recycling/repurposed use of wood. I bet you were good in Woodwork at school. Comment from Downunder.
Ahh Danny the legend! :D Thanks :) I wasn't interested in it to be honest all we made was toy cars buildings are much cooler 😂😂👍👍
really beautiful. greenhouse is amazing I would have that on my allotment
Thanks a lot Julia :D
Good job!
Thank you very much indeed :)
Wow, brilliant!!! 🌱☀️
Thank you so much 😸
Think of it this way, you used plastic as the roof of a green house that will allow you to grow your own food. By growing your own food you go to the market/store less which means less fuel used, less plastic and paper to wrap and bring your groceries home in and this will be repeated for years to come as you continue to use your greenhouse.
Very true. Thats the sort of reasoning that I used as well... You've given me the reassurance now that I wasn't just justifying it falsely!! :D
So thank you :)
Danny, the green house looks great mate, we’ll done 👍
Thanks a lot to you and to our mate Danny!!
Grapevine allotment, recommended your channel for the greenhouse build.
Loved the result, just wish I had half your energy and I'd settle for ten percent of your skill.😀😀😉
Ahh what a legend he is for doing that, kind man! Haha thats very kind of you indeed :D All you need is coffeeeeee!
cute wee oasis :)
Really cute and good job using salvaged materials. I'm just making a greenhouse myself out of salvaged doors.
Thanks a lot!!
Oo yeah - do they have windows then the old doors? :)
They're glazed doors apart from at the back. I will have double glazed doors that open out. It's a big greenhouse and a bit nerve-wracking! Fingers crossed it turns out ok.
Danny sent us over
What a legend he is!! Thanks mate :)
I think I have seen this video 20 times, just love it..
Wow - really beautiful video and a beautiful greenhouse! 🪴
Thanks a lot Isabel Bennett 😎🤝

@@tommydaviesx 😂 I emailed you about the perennial kale but not sure if you picked it up x
I think your greenhouse is amazing I would have that in my garden anytime. You are very creative and clever. Keep adding more videos building for gardening please 👍
Thanks so much Mandy, very kind of you! :D Okay, your wish is my command i'll keep on it!
Just found 2 beautiful pine doors with glass and did a search on how to do a green house and your video popped up. Thanks, u gave me a lot of food for thought.
looks good mate!
That’s absolutely amazing love it 👍🏻
Thank you Monica! :D glad you do :)
Turned out great! thanks for the content. I am working on building my 💯 recycled greenhouse now.
Woop Woop! Hope it went well, did it? :)
Brilliant and love the painting! Reclaimed doors and windows are so cool...we have them in our summerhouse...it's amazing what you can pick up! Well done Tommyplxnts!
Woop woop! Definitely is! :D and they add character! :)
Great vid mate. DIYSOS next year!

Because it is!! :D Just a bit of confidence and a few screws 😂😂👍🪴
Good build and looks great 👍
Thanks Roger!
Bloody fantastic
Thanks Pete mate :D Glad you liked this one!
Hello Tommy, excellent recycling and a great looking greenhouse. Top work.
Thanks a lot Ian, great to give a bit of love to an old pile of wood!!
We just finished our Greenhouse. We used old windows and doors too. You did a very nice job.
and yes, we used the same looking Plastic roofing panels. Wasn't my favorite option either. But they do the job. We get hail here, so I was afraid of having glass for roofing panels.
Yeah and the cost of glass for the roof as well - it’s sometimes the best choice but it is what it is!!!
Would look great in any garden and a huge bonus, it’s all recycled / reclaimed!
I know right! thanks :D
Nice build :)
Thanks a lot Lee :)
@@tommydaviesx Subbed as well :)
so lovely greenhouse you made :)
Thanks :D
We have built our greenhouse from recycled double glazed windows . It is bigger than yours . One problem though… your doors are like mine and they are not made to withstand the rain… the heat in summer then the rain prevent them from closing properly so we are constantly trying to shave the top or the bottom . We think we need a gutter system above the front door. But isn’t it great to build your own ? Well done and happy growing .
Brilliant, was it an easy build? :) Not sure about yours but I think as long as they've got a good seal around the windows and sealed wood they should be pretty stable, are yours sealed around the windows? Yes exactly! Even if the doors warp its still well worth it couldn't agree more!! :D
Great greenhouse. Danny from grapevine allotment recommended.
Ahh thanks Cheryl :D Top man Danny!!
Danny really is a wonderful person.
@@cherylprice1790 I know! He just shouted me out out of the blue, just to be nice, which is rare nowadays, definitely agree with you :)
Lovely! Smaller than my reclaimed wood greenhouse on my plot! But mine isn't for seedlings! My wood was also saved from a burn pile! You should check out mine!!!!
Woop woop, will definitely have a look :)
Love your greenhouse build. Amazing you managed to build yours without spent too much.
The paint colours are just fun and playful.
I have been collecting materials to build my own greenhouse from 15 plane pannel doors. I have mixed feelings about the build, i am both excited and apprehensive as I am only a novice at building things.
Thank you so much!! Sounds like you're nearly ready to start? In my experience with everything you make, whatever skill level you're at, by the time you've finished the build, you'll be a lot more prepared for the next one and probably want to change a lot about how you built the last one too - so may as well go for it now!!
That's so true.
Mega!
Cheers sam!
This is amaizng mate! Favourite video yet. Where can we put in orders for greenhouses?
Thanks mate definitely my favourite to make! :D
I have been given a present of 7 old patio doors. They are made from PVC double glazed and very heavy. My dream is to use them to build a glass house. Do you think I should buy 6x6 inch thickness of pre treated timber to use in the four corners to support the doors? Also should I use 4 x2 's for a base ?
Your best work yet I reckon, how long did the whole process take?
Thanks a lot, couple of days, well a bit under... and a bit of night painting!! :D
That's really clever. How do you screw into the window frames? Do you have to put wooden insets in the frames, or what? Thanks.
Thank you Kevin! :D Yes exactly, theres a strip of batten that runs the whole exterior of the windows, so I just screwed into that!
Could you please hop on over to New York State and build one of these on our deck? We have the materials but…….😊
Okay I will head on over there now - see you at the airport!!
Hi Tommy, I absolutely adore your way of building this greenhouse however I do have one question: How did you make sure it would be capable of withstanding all weather conditions and not literally be blown away by a storm for example? I'd love to make my own recycled greenhouse on my roof terrace but the foundation is something I didn't quite figure out yet. Nonetheless thank you so much, it's a really brilliant video!
It;s in a sheltered back garden so I think there wont be a problem when the winter storms come.
i know im late but Danny sent me
Wow can you come make me one? :) Ahah
Fine alright - meet you in Melbourne 👍
