      sk8tillyoudie 83 while I appreciate your attempt at being informative, I kinda figured that dude. I mean used to skate everyday for one, and skateboarding is something that takes a lot of effort and dedication. so when you’re creating or learning a trick , it should go without saying that you’re going to miss it ALOT and probably bust your ass a few good time before you initially land it and a thousand more time before you master it.. that being said, all I was saying is this video is the only time I’ve ever seen Rodney Mullen, specifically, not land every trick, it’s almost unthought of that he could ever miss one (at least in my mind). This is probably the only video out right now that shows that he is human like the rest of us.

He didn't invent kickflips tho. Only many of the modern variations. He is older now of course and can't be expected to perform like before. This is a few yrs ago I think but still past his prime?

    Rodney Mullen is a national treasure, to this day. You can tell the guy loves performing for people. Took him a little bit to warm up here but once he got going and found his groove, it wasn't a pitch, it became a "I have to show them a good time" type situation. You can tell from how he's looking up at them after each trick demonstration. Dude got me into skateboarding when I was 8, and while I don't do it too often anymore (I work too much to find the time), it was such a big part of my life from being a tween to early adulthood.

    • @CrossfacePanda
      @CrossfacePanda 4 роки тому +7

      @@zubrhero5270 Some years later now, I'd actually say On Tour was better than I gave it credit for back in 2005, even if it's not as good as either Tricky or SSX3.
      It made some really bad design decisions, especially it's new trick system that turns the camera around so you can't see where and when you're landing, and the way it handles progression isn't the greatest. The game's presentation is also a lot less engaging than Tricky and SSX3 (as they took all of the personality away from the characters).
      That said, it easily has the best level design of the whole series, as every level has a real effortless flow to them no matter what path you take. And the screenshake and camera zoom during boosting that they stole from the Burnout games adds a cool sense of speed that no other SSX game has.
      I'm definitely glad I gave it a second chance :)

He was very personable and in no way egotistical, just a great skateboarder and person in general. This shit he does so non-chalantly, is impressive and looks like so much fun.
