Anther great tutorial! I look forward to TK Fridays. It is easy to get set in one's way with Photoshop and using these different techniques keeps things fresh and now I don't know how I managed all these years without the TK panels
Very nice edit Dave. In my view, this is really an excellent master class in dodging and burning, most clearly explained and demonstrated. Thank you very much.
Thank you Dave. I always enjoy your videos but this one hit a sweet spot in my learning curve. I think dodging and burning with Blend-If will become a favourite for me too.
Another winner using TK9. I have become a fan of using Blend If. I am seeing much better results. Thank you for all the great ideas. Have a wonderful weekend.

I love to start my Friday mornings with a good cup of coffee and your TK Friday lesson. Once again a fabulous lesson. I have really grown to like using the Blend-If function. The fact that you can refine how the Blend-if edit looks after the adjustment allows for much more control over using a mask. Keep up the great work.
Another outstanding TK Plugin lesson. Dave when you were making the initial sky color grading layer, you clicked on the Mask Calculator button to make an intersection; however, the Mask Calculator was already opened in the panel. Did you have to Mask Calculator button again or could you just use the opened Mask Calculator? Thanks Dave
I recently installed TK9 v3.0 but can't locate the buttons for Merge Down or Stamp Up that I used most frequently in the previous version. What module are they in? And if they now have icons instead of names, what do the icons look like?
TK9V3 has a "Flatten Image layers button" and a "Stamp Visible Layers button" just like TK9. I don't recall it ever having a Merge Down button (it may have been an hidden feature). You will find these buttons on the Combo or CX panels. If you hold down Alt/Option and hover over any button you will get info about what the button accomplishes. If you right click on a Photoshop Layer you will find options to Merge Down and merge visible.
Hello Dave, I tried to create a depth map and got a message that my Neural filters are out of date. I am running the latest version of PS 25.11 Any suggestions?
You might try going to Filter > Neural Filters > Depth Blur and making sure it is enabled. You can also try making a Depth Map using the Depth Blur Neural Filter. TK9 is simply calling this function from Ps, so you can try doing it manually and seeing if that works.
@@TonyKuyper Thank you Tony this worked a treat when the Depth Blur Filter was enabled also a big thank you to Dave for making these fantastic videos, they are brilliant!
Excellent tutorial ...fast pace precise and no waffling ....brilliant ❤❤

Thanks Mario. The Mask Calculator stays open until you make the calculation.

Try this: Change the language on you Multi-Mask Panel to a different language and then change it back and see if that clears up the issue.
