Valve is notorious for doing the bare minimum for their multiplayer games. One QOL update, then a 6 month vacation they renew every 3 months.
Yep! Especially when it comes to CS where you don't have to balance much because the game has been around for a billion years. Also they don't care about operations because they're already making billions by doing literally nothing. Because the addicts are opening cases in droves.
But Dota is S tier
At least it’s not as bad as riot games, they just keep bringing out more things for you to buy while their anti-cheat breaks PCs and their games are chock full of bugs

@@cody6550 The chances of your PC bricking over the anti-cheat is extremely slim. I've been playing Valorant since beta back when the anti-cheat had more control on multiple PCs and not once did the anti-cheat cause problems. What Riot does with Valorant makes CS look like an absolute joke.
It's a weird feeling that Valve made CS2 so raw, unfinished and stale and forces us to love it, almost to the point of gaslighting the community into thinking that we're the bitches for asking for features we always had.

At this point Im just waiting for Valve to announce that they're no longer working on TF2 and just maintain the servers, the lack of closure is awful.

Valve isn't a poor tiny indie team, they earn millions per week with just CS skins alone. They could hire more staff if they wanted to, but they don't. They run a game that has millions of players that generates millions of dollars but they do not communicate and do not deliver content in return, which is frustrating

Do you think Source 2 is an engine as widely used as Unreal or Unity that they could find proficient people to work with it all around the world? This doesn't work like that. If they hired 100 more people to work on CS2, you'd get exactly the same amount of updates because those people would have no idea how the engine works at the beginning. Also, you're assuming that many people want to work at Valve, but do they? Not everyone wants to work on CS2, and not everyone wants to use Source 2. Money is important but you guys need to realize at some point that money isn't the solution to every problem.

Considering that on June, 19th it will be the 25 anniversary since the first ever CS released I can assure you we're not gonna receive anything, in classic Valve's fashion

So not buying that crap when it comes out. The company makes billions every year, L4D2, CS2, TF2,Dota2 should all have dedicated team of developers. L4D2 and TF2 should be ported to Source 2 already.

Valve is sitting on one of the most well established and reliable cash cows in the gaming industry, and for some reason don’t seem to care. Just give us the minimum and we’ll eat it up. They really don’t give a shit.

This is honestly so sad, most of the TF2 community just wants Valve to fix the bot problem and most of the CS2 community wants Valve to fix the cheating problem
The fact you actually dared to question if the "demand for more content" is justified is incredibly stupid, especially if you think about how half the content we want would not actually be new but just the content we had in CS:GO
The game could be so great with all the resources valve has and they still decided to do the bare minimum.
I think the main issue is that there is no real competition and valve knows that.

The fact that Overwatch 2 got shit on RELENTLESSLY for its lack of new content at launch, and CS2 didn’t blows my fucking mind. Blizzard released more content in a mid season patch then all of the content that valve has ever released for CS2. 😂
Dude, valve literally never promised any future contents for CS2, that’s why there’s no uproar. I mean it’s blizzard own fault for promising a lot and didn’t deliver anything after that.
@@koi3622 CS2 Still has LESS content then CS GO. That is inexcusably bad. OW2 might have not lived up to its full potential, but at the VERY LEAST it actually puts out new content all the time.

@@peterdozal8825the secret is no one cares. The percentage of players that actually plays these game modes is tiny relative to the rest of the players. Loud minority of yappers in the reddit comments but real life numbers aren't very high for side game modes

The zeus is cheesy, don't think anyone is calling it broken, just cheesy and that last point about roaming with awp in deathmatch mode doesn't make any sense.

Before content we need the netcode of the game to be fixed. Shots just disappear and don’t register. It’s so inconsistent and frustrating.
I don't know what happened but the updates this June has probably screwed with my game. I got low ping and good frames but for some reason I'm still rubber-banding and freezing at random. Is it a PC problem or game problem?

I'm getting 200+ Fps drops by literally just moving, depending on the server.
Sometimes the game just feels choppy & i'm not getting fps drops. It literally makes no sense.
The only thing Valve knows to do, is to gas light the CS community & fuck something up after every update.

I love how this twitter community is when there is a content update, the game don't need content and needs to be fixed. And when there are bug fixes they want content updates.
I hope they fix long loading screen that came after one of the updates (nade lineup crosshair and left hand update). Game used to start in 5 seconds but now its like 15 seconds.
imagine we get an operation with day 1000 which is pretty much the 25th year CS anniversary as well. not really out of the question, but we should get at least something bigger in the coming week(s). I'd bet money on that

I am pretty sure there will be another bigger update (like the skin renting, or call to arms) in the next to weeks. When you look at the last few months there was one bigger update towards the end of the month

It’s sad to see but a month or two ago I just gave up on the game and started maining r6. Sold my most of my skins of value too (talon knife, imperial plaids). Cheaters and lack of content finally got too much for me
used to be able to go community servers and play on all the mods. but with no script/api support everything is pigshit...
We joked that all valve had to do to succeed is do nothing as their competitors shoot themselves in the foot each time. But they actually are sitting on their asses.

Why tf can't I use the community server browser in the game? We had that in 1.6 but not CS2? Are they trying to kill community servers?
One thing that is sad they haven’t fixed is having to restart after each new map for community servers to hear people

@@SSJGengar you're allowed to expect it, but you're going to be disappointed. We don't need more maps ESPECIALLY for a mode that clearly hasn't been any important at all for a long time. Hostage mode is dead in the competitive scene. Maps like Insertion 2 are cool but that only works for special events, for matchmaking and competitive gaming it's just not gonna happen.

For real, cs2 should have never even launched without at least everything in go especially since it killed go entirely now. We are at the point where our "content" we want is literally just getting back everything from go. It could be awhile before everything is updated and moved over before we actually see new new stuff.

My game still doesn’t run right. Tweaked game settings, monitor settings, nvidia gforce settings, launch options, gpu upgrade, I even tried throttling down my ram because I had heard people were having problems with ddr5. My game still stutters. When I let go of the A key I continue going left. When I let of of the D key I continue going right. I’m done at this point, it’s not fun anymore.

Quite honestly loved cs, lately i dont even jump in for my weekly drops, i just got so sick of it, everything repeatedly not being fixed, nothing new to at least ease the pain. I haven't played it in like a month properly, still keeping my skins for when its cooked a bit more but for now they lost me

funny thing i got my friend into the game recently. yesterday he got the ability to play competitive so we q'd a game. first match more than 4 cheaters. not playing comp again
Unfortunately valve isnt a game development company primarily. They feel like software company (with steam) and hardware company (with vr and handhelds) first before they are a game developer.
Steam makes them so much money that they genuinely dont need to give a shit if their game flops or whatever. At this point, they are mostly just doing it for the sake of legacy
