#6 was honestly a really great/non-weird addition. As someone who has struggled with substance abuse when I got out of the marines after 2 tours of Iraq I understand the dangers it provides all around... The biggest danger of it is dishonesty about use to yourself and others around you. These sorts of things need to be normal to discuss, because it permeates our society more than you know. I had a high paying job from the time when I was an addict & am fortunate to still have it now. But my point of that is I was a functional member of society that no one suspected and I barely made it out with my career and life still intact. What wasn't mentioned about Riolu and Trackmania's scandal is that Riolu and Wirtual were actually good if not close friends prior to that situation. Wirtual's heart was litterally shattered by this discovery; he couldn't believe it himself. He offered Riolu many, many chances to come forth, admit and apologize, even before the publication of the report, but Riolu always denied. Eventually, as people got more and more convinced about the authenticity of the report and cheating allegations, Riolu totally disappeared from the community; a shame, because he was actually one of the best. He still holds many genuine and un-cheated record runs, and he was always among the fastest and most skilled in online tournaments. It took Wirtual many months to heal from this situation, so much he was shocked; unfortunately, it might have taken even more time for Riolu, if ever.

I get the dose that I need to function properly every day (not just for tournaments). I notice the difference clearly, both in every day tasks, but also when I am competing. I take a pretty low dose, but if pros are abusing the "short/burst" version of adderall, TRUST me it will make a difference. Fixing bugs in games is not as simple as going into the code and typing "if broken, don't be". Bugs are usually a combination of a bunch of weird issues that nobody thought of or thought would never occur. Also, if only a small number of people are using an exploit and it's not really harming most gameplay, there's also no financial incentive to fix said bugs. Game developers' bosses will assign them to work on something like DLC rather than fix some minor edge case. So it's a lot more complex than just asking devs to fix their games.

The Zwift story is just as dumb the first time I heard it. How is there being a level-playing field considered cheating? Other racers in the race used the Tron Bike too, they just put in the work to get it. Every racing sport in history is loaded with people throwing money at their problems or inefficiencies. It's not like the Tron Bike is inaccessible to other players. Why does it matter if his account has it or not?
I remember back in the day League of Legends having rune pages. You needed to grind experience to get all the runes. Riot said "that's dumb, these runes have a significant impact on player power." So they scrapped it and now we have what are essentially talent trees. That's all the Zwift guy did, was bring his competition down to an equal level. Stop covering this bullshit - it's not bizarre because he got the tron bike "illegitimately," it's bizarre because you think Zwift is.

Reminds me of the first For Honor tournament where the winner spammed some of the games most broken/unreactable moves. Players can stand on top of each other to get to different angles, but it is also possible to get boosted to otherwise unaccessible spots. Some of these spots have a invisible 1mm ledge that is possible to stand on. If you are standing on something that isn't made to stand on (like the middle of a wall) it's pixelwalking. It's pretty cool, look it up. But it is already forbidden, but left in the game because why fix it?
