I saw brad paisley a few times in Wheeling West Virginia when I was about 10 years old when I was forced to go to some Jamboree country show at I think the Capitol Theatre. At the time I think it was like their grand ‘ol opery. I just remember hating it then Brad performed, he must have been 15 or so. I had no idea who he was but he was obviously a local sensation from the applause he received. But being 10 years off it seemed weird they put this kid on stage that just blew the others off the stage. I have no idea who they were. I don’t have vivid memories of it but I remember thinking that he was really good and enjoyed him being a 10
Year old that didn’t want to be there to begin with. Then years later I realized it was him. I don’t know if that theatre still exists anymore. Maybe it’s changed now but wheeling wv wasn’t very exciting for a 10 year old at the time.
