The straight piping loses a tiny bit of low rpm torque but it greatly improved revving😎
carb needs to be rejetted on the idle jet and the slide needle needs to be moved up
@@kylescreations4724 On my atv there is a piece of metal blocking the adjustment spot.
Thanks that's very good to know I'll be inspecting mine
she will breathe better and get you some more power thx for watching glad i could help
I would recommend to straight pipe the engine or reduce backpressure. That improves power greatly.
probably need to do some rejetting to get it just right those little carbs can be a pain to dial in
@@kylescreations4724 On my ATV the carburetor does not let me adjust it.
I removed the baffle and drilled holes to bypass the chambers. It still has the catalectic converter sadly.
With stock exhuast my quad sounded like a quiet loser but now its a harley.
My ATV was barely starting up and now it idles a lot better and revs higher.
My 150cc go kart has that little box with tube sticking out of it from the first exhaust you were explaining but mine has a whole blown through it and no tube on it. Can I just block off the plate?
that is for some cali emissions stuff just block it off or remove it
Now if u dill out the evaporator emission would it where should I cut the back half of the exhaust off and rebuild it
just use the first 8-10in of pipe off the engine and build your own
Definitely recommend gutting the muffler or straight piping.
@@kylescreations4724 This entire video proves why we *DON'T* need a muffler lol
I mean if you want a quiet ATV (who really wants that! haha) you have to plug them pretty good.
@@kylescreations4724 I don't have any wives or girlfriends (or any friends😟) so I don't have to worry about annoying anyone!
Does anybody have recommendations on an exhaust for one of those bikes looking just to buy one and got time to mess with it
How much would you charge to fabricate one for me.
Or where can I find one online?
Thanks for the video, it’s very informative.
My exhaust did not have that. I now know that I'm terrible at welding.
not all have it but that thin metal is tough to weld dont beat yourself up
this blows my mind.... There is better exhaust on my chainsaw... Thank you for sharing. :)
all these restrictions are cause of california. what ever comes into there port has to meet there regulations
Bro you are doing it the hard way. Just chop off the muffler and weld a pipe.
i use a complete new exhaust in most cases just wanted to show how restrictive they are
Thanks! This video was very informative!
Glad it was helpful!
