Even not that dominant this game, Chaichan is next level. It is delightful to watch.

I dont think it's the 50 min. I still see a ton of maverick in the queue, and of course there is no time limit there

Bear in mind, Katy was a shock weapon used to drive units to fall back, not to get kills necessarily, and in the game it was used successfully in this role.
I suppose, but it also failed several times. And when other units in game can do both, it feels very underwhelming
Also I would put forward the idea that the katy is more scaled for army general where the artillery units are bigger in available.
@@atkpwrgaming It didn't fail at all, it pinned the units it struck. Sure, other units can do better, but for only 80 points and the ability to move it around... ;-)
Look, at the end of the day, the game is going for historically appropriate divisions, and that means some are going to be underwhelming and seemingly 'unbalanced' But I personally prefer that than some boring WWII version of Starcraft. Go the underdogs!
Chaichan is just an insanely good player
yep , although farid succumbed to tunnel vision in the end of fight when he needlessly throw his unit away for nothing , and using his air forces without proper trade in the end.
He is very good, though this is definitely not Farids best game

Would those Russian Kats be better employed as Jr Offmap? Fired at infantry clusters and followed up with the push to surrender?

When ever i see people use katuysha they are bad but for they slap killing 88s and 17pdrs or any at gun quite consistently. But katuysha are more meant to shock that goes for most rocket artillery. Like fire for effect pinning down rather than killing. The psychological damage on Germans were very high you can read some memories it’s a very feared weapon.
I can definitely believe that. They just dont have the same terrifying effect in game haha
I get that people like fighting in the woods but not taking advantage of the open ground fight is baffling. Artillery for the win. I admire Chaichan's patience.

why the hell would you play 122nd infantry vanguard i call it abuse of 122nd it wants to go long and grind, it wants to be on the defense and wait out for a long run, espically the way he made it it actually makes me sad. weird he dident take radio 120mm mortars those thing slaps espically in team games. almost the only reason people play 3rd vdv in team games. given 122nd infantry panzergrenadiers would make no sense from a historical perspektive. also grenadiers are fine they hold up against normal gyvardia.
Particularly as VDV really lacks staying power. Very little long range infantry and a fairly limited tank tab plus the desantniki are fragile and cheap, so you tend to burn through them very fast, even with a C phase card.
who says you can't go long and grind when playing vanguard vs a maverick player?
I agree in using longer incomes, but the counter to that is it is very difficult to survive at high levels of play when your opponent has 400 more points than you, it is very difficult
would not surprise me if Chaichan played the game with the map turned to see more at once
You mean the normal way people play? or from the side like I cast? Cause most people play looking from the back like I do in any live game

Even in the end veteran player can succumbed to tunnel vision. We know that grenadiers sucks due to low infantry number, but in this battle when in its element aka open field or light forest they can do well. Give it two vetted it can shreds soviet inf in the open. Still it very salty giving 122inf with vanguard income.
Yeah I didn't really understand the income choice either, but thats just me
chai build up his forces in B and let farid attack when he could attack. that was interesting and i think its what cost farid this game.

it always surprises me how hard the 76mm artillery seems to hit things despite my experience with anything under 100mm being near worthless as artillery.
I was the one who asked about the big gun artillery but I asked about the 280mm one which is even more enormous.
also I know the Katyusha really performs poorly but do you think it would be better to take just a single 122mm gun over a Katyusha? I feel like for the same price so long as you deploy Katyusha in pairs it can be useful but has to be used against clusters of targets and not single high value targets.
Just get 2 122s and actually kill some stuff from time to time

I think Farid got a bit desperate (stressed) in the end there, it seemed like he was betting more on pure luck than on experience and knowledge. Given that it was just minutes way, what else is there to do than to say hail Mary and give it your last shot?
yep, unnecessary air strike into heavily opponent defended three star 37mm, although it can survive if it single vet.

Why did they picked mav and vanguard (especially this one) while their decks looks like balanced? I just dont understand maverick meta huh
well these decks were prebuilt by other players so who knows what these other players were thinking.
