The “W” in M4(75)W stands for “wet ammo storage” which reduces ammo cook off IRL, but it doesn’t affect armor and the better armor value is probably because of the welded hull. Someone needs to check the crit rate on it to know if it does anything in game tho.

Reduction of chance of catastrofic ammo cook off was reduced from 60-70% to less than 10%, so the importance of wet stowage was significant.
I countered pick the income. VfV is good against van because the additional income of van is not enough to kill you. As you said, it is like mav vs bal but better. "Not sure what the purpose of the beute stalin is" you missed the kill on the jumbo 😢
The Primary difference between the M4A3 sherman and the other variants is its engine and the fact that the wider tracks with HVSS suspension was standard on this model. it used a Ford V8 engine rather than the Radial aircraft engines or multibank engines of other variants so it was more reliable and in some cases faster. the wider tracks and improved suspension in real life offered higher off road mobility, reduced the chances of getting stuck in mud and offered a smoother ride improving the accuracy of the gun allowing for an even higher hit probability on the move. hit probability is a bit different than accuracy as a statistic but the M4A3 was achieving around a 70% hit probability while moving around 15 miles per hour off road. (fun fact the US was the only nation in WW2 using a gun stabilizer and this tech would not become commonplace in tanks for other nations until the 1960s)
15:20 - "Below every other income... Except Juggernaut." You know... I could have sworn there was another Income that had a *very* poor B-Phase income... Oh, what was it again? Edit: Also, gotta admire the spine on Memile. "It is the second half of B-Phase. I am playing V-for-Victory against Vanguard. Time for the offensive!"
The main difference of the M4A3 to Shermans before it was the engine, a Ford V-8 gasoline engine, so it was the most speedy and mobile version of the Sherman - not sure if thats somehow translated into the game itself ?
Damn that was great game to watch! Nice plays by both players. Although I also don't understand why German player kept sending tanks to forests against division where everyone and their mother gets a Bazooka
@@mimile4462 these cheap 20pts Panzergrenadiers with DP28 are great for that. Just 20 points and you can sprinkle them around in forests just to gain vision or even simply as early warning that something is coming. Nonetheless good game!
M4A3 is the same as the other 80 point Shermans. Most of the American divisions are stuck with the M4A1s as thats what they trained on. The Armored Divs get the later variants.
20th Panzer has a big advantage - they have a better slot nunbers with only the recon fairly bad for slot numbers 1, 2, 3 or 4. Germans generally have better win chances as Shermans do not trade favourably with MK IV and Stugs
Vanguard just seems like the worst aggressive income, you can win in A phase as any income, the extra points don't do very much. Like, just pick maverick.
It is very good for spamming out good cheap units. You can also easily afford expensive planes on 1 tick. The extra points can make you overwhelm a mav or bal player on the right map especially.
@@mimile4462 Just at the opening there were some close trades that went your way. Didn't effect the outcome but some of those trades could've gone either way that's all gg
.50 cal AA effect needs to be nerfed because it is giving free anti-air capacity to most allied divisions that cannot be countered except by directly engaging the half tracks or light vehicles with AT. At 5:58 the reconnaissance plan is being forced off by two .50 cals. Other than during a dive, would any plane in the game fly low enough to be hit by a 50 cal? Recon planes are a key unit for Axis armored divisions to function and many of them are now practically unusable.
No Because the AA effect is ridiculously low compared to what 50 cal were capable historically And in game it is just normal that a bi plane fallback to two 50 cal I would make you know what is the feeling of a pilot under the fire of two 50 cal

Happy to see good old casts again
Recon planes nice side effect is draining 50 cal ammo from all these halftrucks and tanks.

There is no bad time for an offensive
More seriously, I traded well in A phase, I started preparing the offensive at the end of A when I felt confident.
@@mimile4462 very well played! I enjoyed watching
nooo you missed the dead jumbo to he beaute stalin D: atleast we got to see the dead carcass but great cast as always
As someone who is still learning the game, some of my most difficult games against the AI have been 3rd Armor vs 20th Panzer.

Most don't realize it, but cheap recon planes are a must against 50cal spam divisions.
12:39 and onwards: As if you were not responsible for sending them into suicide missions! All the time! Ha!
What do you use to make your Thumbnails?
At 33:36 you can see the Wurfrahmen got the kill of the second Jumbo. 🙂

It can be good against mav. You can use your A phase income to trade better in A and early B.

Vanguard is good for sniper divs.
good game kinda feel like the RNJesus boned Koenig though
In what way?
I just lost after my opening, maybe the rng was a bit against me, but it definetely not why i lost.
