CVA Cascade XT from box to range

- Giving you a look at the awesome CVA Cascade XT. Going through some of the things I do to prep a new rifle. Then proper scope base and ring alignment. Finally finishing with the mounted Vortex Viper scope and sending a few down range.
I really love the CVA Cascade XT series because of the #5 tapered barrel is slightly thicker adding stiffness, but fluted to remove some of the weight. It comes with a muzzle break and thread protector depending on how you prefer to shoot it. It has an oversized tactical bolt knob that is easy to manipulate for quick follow-up shots. The user adjustable trigger is a pleasure to shoot. They designed it to accept mounts that fit the Savage 110 accutrigger models, so finding mounts are easy…but the gun comes with mounts. The biggest sellers are the MOA guarantee, 14 day buy back guarantee, and lifetime warranty.

Best video to learn how mount a Scope. Thank you so much!!
Thank you, I'll have more scope mounting videos soon.
I have one in 350 legend. I purchased the Ruger American 350 legend Go Wild, which is Ruger's upgraded rifle. I then bought the CVA after that. I can tell you that the CVA is a far more superior rifle in every way. My 3 shot group with Hornady American Whitetail was .70" at 100 yards. I'm going to try the Hornady FTX but, very satisfied with the accuracy currently. Accuracy, stock, trigger, again a superior rifle in every way over my Ruger for the price point.
Micah, do you mean American Whitetail?
They are really great rifles
Great video, thank you!
Thank you sir
Great rifles. I have the XT in 7mm rem mag. Awesome video. Subscribing!!
I have two of these and probably will get another
Good rifle for anyone not planning on upgrading.
Its a very nice all purpose rifle. My Xbolt is nice, but when I see nifty rifles like this it tempts me to add another.
Looks like a great weapon.
So far it hasn’t disappointed.
I'm interested in seeing if the barrel does break in and starts grouping better. Bergara barrels are button rifled and they claim that no break in is needed. From the reviews I've seen, Bergara is having some accuracy issues. Not all, but more than they should.
This one has tightened up some, but not as tight as my 6.5PRC in the same model.
They are doing a 15 day buy back if not 1MOA or better. I have seen 6-7PRC’s doing sub 1/2MOA. May be the barrel needed a good seasoning after you cleaned it from the factory shots. I don’t know. I always shoot half a dozing or more after cleaning before I verifying POI shifts.
great information, what grit did you use for lapping?
Not sure if the grit size. It came with the wheeler lapping kit.
I’m interested in getting one CVA Cascade. Can you give me the discount code?
Have one in 6.5 PRC. Mags are not worth a shit. Constant feeding problems even with replacement mags. Rounds wont even stay in the Mags.
Sorry your having that issue. My factory mag has not had an issue feeding. I did purchase an extra mag that is still in the package. I think I should open that one and try feeding rounds through it. I’ll report back later.
Is the discount code still available? If so, how can I get the discount code?
On the CVA website use code BVFRIENDS
Do you have a web sight, would like to have a gun stock dipped.
Email me at 6MileOutdoors@gmail.com
Can you get this rifle in the 28 nozler or the 7mm- 08 ?
It is available in 28 nosier. But not 7mm-08.
Currently the web sight shows the XT model being offered in 6.5CM, 308WIN, 450BM, 350Ledend, 6.5PRC, 7mmPRC, 300WM, and 7mm Rem Mag.
I don't see any 7mm-08 or any NOSLER calibers offered in the standard Cascade or the Cascade XT.
It’s not on the website but at Buds right now they have a 28 Nosler in the XT , I have a CVA Cascade XT 300 PRC 26” Barrel , that’s also not on there website
Its an ok rifle. The bolt/feeding isnt as good as my xpr. Both in 350 legend.
That little oil doesn’t hurt a thing that is all bs. The first shot takes it all out.
Hey Tony, thanks for the feedback. You’re probably right, I’m just trying to remove any variables.
In7mm mag
Yes, but not currently in stock.
How do I get the 15% discount?

Just got an email yesterday that said they have it in 7 PRC now. That will be my next rifle.
Possibly my next purchase as well.

Yes, I am looking at that too!
@@wickedwagens I have one in 300 win mag and it’s awesome.
308 shells?
That’s redneck for bullets
shouldn't your buddy be present to set up the proper eye relief. What's good for you may very well be wrong for him.
That's a very true statement, however it has worked with most people. Ideally, you want the shooter in a good cheek-weld position to set the scope. Great feedback, thank you.
I was enjoying your video until you said Hornaday. It's Hornady. Horn-a-dee.
You're right! Hope you enjoyed rest of it.
