    I have been on two trains within Italy and another from Venice to Vienna. They were good on all three trips really. For me, no delays which was a surprise. Thank you for the video!

      They're still not as reliable as Japanese or Korean high speed rail though when it comes to on time performance. 😏

    Hi Ryan! I've done the Freccia from Venice to Florence to Rome back in 2011, but this year in April I'll be filming Venice to Milan (via Verona) for my channel. Then from Milan I'll be flying down to Rome on ITA Airways, so I can film that one as well. Your video helped me see what Freccia looks like now as it's been over a decade!

      Enjoy your trip! I have a Venice to Milan video coming up with Frecciarossa in 2 weeks! Hehe... Ah yes, ITA Airways, I'll be looking forward to the videos.

    Just caught up to this, I enjoyed it, the adding of background history of some of the stations and the line was a great touch!
    Wishing you continued channel growth!

    I intend doing this journey in the near future so thank you for the information.
    It is beyond embarrassing that the train from Adelaide to Melbourne only departs twice a week and takes over 12 hours. Australia definitely needs to develop high speed rail.

    Hello Ryan, interesting UA-cam as always. Note that here in Europe we call 300 kms an hour high-speed. I don't know why the train slowed down but it might have been technical issues. Only Rome-Florence-Bologna is truly high-speed (it's a newly contructed line) but Bologna-Venice would be over the classic line which is probably limited to around 200 kms an hour (or less).

    • @ryansofly
      @ryansofly  9 місяців тому

      The train slowed down from Firenze Statuto onwards. Who knows what happened? The rail system in Europe is awesome.

    • @alexmcwhirter6611
      @alexmcwhirter6611 9 місяців тому +1

      @@ryansoflyThe section from Florence to Bologna runs through the Apennines. Long tunnel. A new high speed line opened some years ago. There may have been an issue ...I don't know. But Bologna-Venice remains the classic line. In Italy the new high-speed lines form only a limited part of the network.

    • @alexmcwhirter6611
      @alexmcwhirter6611 9 місяців тому +1

      Anyway Ryan I am glad you enjoyed European rail. Spain now has more high-speed track of any European country. On Madrid-Barcelona there are several high-speed rail operators all competing for customers !
