Hi from New Zealand, we took the Bernina Express from Chur Switzerland to Tirano last year, absolutely fabulous, highly recommend. And we looove Italy, can’t wait to go back.
Jessi has the most beautiful, kind eyes. You can tell there's a good soul behind those eyes! Eyes are the soul's mirror. Actually, Alessio is the same! Good people.
Felt the same exact thing. Never seen this channel before but they both seem like really lovely people. You can totally "feel" how kind of a soul she has; with some people you can just notice it right away.
@@BennHaze please check their websites. Also they have very good offers when you book it in Advance. They also have these rides in winters as well and that's another experience dashing in train through the snow covered alps.
I went to Italy for the first time a month ago. We stopped in Lugano Switzerland. I immediately went to Laderach for chocolate. Spent over 80 dollars and had the best chocolate I've ever eaten in my 55 years of life. ☺️ They are know for their chocolate slabs. Definitely a must go to.
Absolutely love a good scenic train ride. Nothing else like it, and I’m already a fan of trains anyways so win-win. Glad you both had such an amazing time.
Ya'll are such a joy to watch. Truly love how much you love each other. And all the beautiful things you get to do and places you go to. Good luck with your family plans.

What a beautiful video with exquisite views and even more incredible food! The bubbling pot of cheese fondue was one of the loveliest sounds I’ve heard and excellent call taking advantage of the browned cheese crust at the bottom 😋😋
Arugula in the pizzoccheri makes me cry! Pleeeeaaaaseeee!!! We put cabbage in the winter and maybe coste in summer (white chard). Valtellina is my place of origin and all those dishes are sacred. Sciatin you don't cut it with a knife, you just put it into your mouth! Blessings!
Wow what an amazing beautiful area in Italy & Switzerland the train looks so nice it looks so peaceful in this part of Italy/Switzerland I don’t know why you would ever want to come back to the USA it just doesn’t compare !! I love Italy but have never been to this part of Italy I can’t wait to visit
Oh, wow! I’m going to Italy 🇮🇹 in October and this is exactly why I’m going. I want to go to The Vatican and every church I can to pray 🙏🏽 for myself and others. I’ll definitely have to add this train ride to my must-do list. 😊
What a beautiful and relaxing video. It looked like a fairytale with amazing food!! And despite all that's going on, Jessi seemed to be so genuinely full of joy, it was nice to see and you are a good example of keeping things in perspective. I live in Philadelphia, USA, and we have a restaurant here that had the buckwheat pasta dish and it was amazing even here so I can only imagine the real thing. Grazie per la gita alla Svizzera!! I couldn't even begin to guess the price of the chocolates. buon appetito!! ahaaha
Gorgeous church! The carvings are so impressive they make my heart hurt! I've never taken the train. I've driven over the Brenner Pass a couple of times. Since we had a car, it was easier to drive. We had stayed in Davos for a few days, and then went to visit friends in Modena. My father lived in Firenze as a boy, so we went to see the house he lived in. Looking down on Florence from the hill was marvelous. You two are so funny about chocolate.
if you like carving, how about wood carving? check out the Riemenschneider altars in germany. and, of course, check out the baroque churches in bavaria. If they are not the most beautiful churches you have ever seen.....
Just breathtaking. And what I love most is your exuberance and appreciation for it all. ... This video just randomly popped up for me, but I am very glad it did. Blessings
A fantastic video! You two are very fortunate to experience this train trip and other sites. Chocolates looked fabulous so did the fondue. Thank you for sharing as I don't think I will have the opportunity to experience. God bless you both and give you your hearts desire. Amen.
You both are full of such a beautiful personality and it is such generousness of you to share your selves and experiences of the world (Italy and TN) with us. having just gotten back from Venice and Rome myself and being from the south your every video resonates so much with me.
The beautiful scenery as you traveled through and up the mountains reminds me of the scenic drive thru Glacier National Park in Montana. You just can't take a bad picture! The pristine lakes look exactly like the ones in Banff National Park (Canada). Nature is so awesome!
I really love and appreciate how present you both are when traveling. Y’all are having a blast and radiating joy and it is contagious 😊 thank you for sharing your life with us!!!
I was in Tirano last week for business, amazing place, beautiful and peaceful. I had dinner twice at Parravicini, once with the client and then on my own, delicious.
Ooh, ooh, ooh! You’re in my adopted country!!! I’ve traveled here from the US almost every year since 2012. Last year we finally visited the canton of Graubunden and took the Bernina express route (though we took the regular train that goes along the same route). Beautiful ride! Next time you go take the train to St. Moritz and then from there the bus westward to visit Sonogno (trust me on this one) and then continue by bus to Chiavenna. We loved Chiavenna as well. You did well going to Läderach. It is fine chocolate. For a lesser expensive purchase I’ve always found the shopkeepers happy to let you select your own bark flavors and will break off small pieces giving you a good sampling of four or five flavors for around 14chf rather than the 24 Chf for the pre packaged pieces. Careful taking it out in the sun, though. This fine chocolate has a low melting point. Thanks for sharing this video. I was so excited to see it.
Läderach chocolate is good, yes, but you can get very good chocolate elsewhere. The owner family has been the focus of several scandals the past few years which in turn ended partnerships with other well-established brands (such as the SWISS airline). The owner family is the co-founder of a school, where children were (allegedly) abused. They are also known to support and be part of organizations which promote homophobic values and fundamentalist views. To each their own, but it is not a brand I would choose to support. Many Swiss like myself are aware of these scandals and are thus shunning the brand.
@@Ago2904Thank you for bringing this up! Of course people don’t know this and that’s ok but once you are informed of these facts you need to make a decision… I used to love this brand but have boycotted them for the last 10 years.

Bienvenue en Suisse !! 🇨🇭 The Bernina Express is wonderful and it's absolutely recommended to take the special train with all the extras at least in one direction. I'm so glad you had a beautiful clear day to enjoy your journey. Folks who are on a budget should know that there are also regularly scheduled trains which travel the same route, though you'll need to supply your own travelogue and plan your stops. I hope you were perhaps able to step out at Ospizio Bernina, the highest point on the route, and view the beautiful lake and glaciers.😍 And next time consider a stop in lovely Poschiavo. I have to say I was concerned to see your fondue boiling away like that. 🙀🫕 It should only be lightly simmering as otherwise the cheese tends to separate. Tip for others: you can always ask your server to adjust the burner beneath the caquelon. But so cool that you were able to experience "la religieuse", the toasted cheese at the bottom of the pot, that's very special.😋 It's my first time commenting but I love your channel and wish you both every happiness. ❤ P.S. there's another beautiful train journey you should consider between Domodossola (IT) and Locarno (CH) if you love train travel.
I’m new to this channel and I absolutely LOVED what I just watched today 😍 because one of my desires is to travel Europe and this video gave me a glimpse of what I’ll see and experience through the eyes and excitement of people that share my love and enthusiasm for travel. Bernina Express is one of the most interesting trips to do in my area. I live at the beginning of Valtellina, about one hour far away from Tirano and one hour and half from St. Moritz. I absolutely love trains and my dad did as well he took me on a lot of trains in the US when I was young. The Durango to Silverton train in Colorado is one of the last steam locomotives that still running today in the world. If you're someone that has an issue with car sickness or motion sickness ride facing the direction that you're traveling,
We bought a 3 day 2nd class pass for our trip from Geneva to Tirano, staying overnight in Zammatt and Chur. The advantage was we mostly had the whole carriage to ourselves and were able to swap sides when ever we wanted, and open the windows. We were also able to get off wherever we wanted ,explore a town then catch the next train.
My family is going to a wedding in Germany in October and we want to take the Bernina Express. I think we will pass on the chocolate. You two look so happy and glowing. So happy to see you enjoying life. You both deserve it!!
My stepfather (Swiss) buys the Laderach sampler bags as holiday gifts. We were so sad when he didn't do it last year, they are the best. On our last trip to Europe, we made sure to stop by a Laderach store to pick up something for them. Maybe we can jumpstart the holiday gifts again. LOL The stores are amazing, we stopped at multiple ones in Switzerland last time we were there--it's a crazy amount of chocolate.

La prossima Vi ospito, un bacione grande grande 😘😘🇮🇹🇮🇹😘 Pizzoccheri e taroz e bresaola della Valtellina 🤤!!! A St.Mortiz. è da assaggiare assolutamente la torta di noci: buonissima!!!
Thank you guys for such a beautiful video! Jessi looks like an angel, you guys deserve the best! I am planning a trip to Europe with my kids and because of limited time (Winter break in February) we are brainstorming to where to go. We most likely do Italy as my hubby has never been. I would love to go back to Cortina D'Ampezzo but we'll see.
You guys are adorable! I loved the video. We are going next September 2025 and taking the train with one night in Switzerland and training back! Looks amazing!
Just found your channel. You make a nice couple but I love Jessi with her neat personality. She is made for being a travel host. This train ride with all the food looks wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
I was in Italy about a year ago with a tour and we took the Bergina Express from Tirano to St. Moritz . It was one of the best experiences in my life. Like the view is really stunning. I highly recommend to take that train, but the one that is not fully in glass( the window can get a bit dirty).
You are both looking so well and happy. I’m glad. ❤❤. You haven’t tried fondue until you try the authentic version somewhere in Switzerland. Memories came flooding back watching you eat that meal. . Thank you.
Aargh I’m so so so jealous. I haven’t even watched the video yet. 😃 I’ve taken the Glacier Express through Switzerland and that was stunning too. But I want to do the Bernina Express. If I had the opportunity you all do, I would move there so fast.
The Churches in Europe the art works and history are undeniably awesome you have so many of the great Renaissance artists contrbutions in oils and scultures. By far European art history is very meaningful and gives lasting memories
I love the train rides in Graubünden. I sometimes take visitors on those rides as it's often much easier and more beautiful going by train than going by car. Nice to see that you enjoyed Switzerland so much. And yes, Läderach chocolates are excellent and definitely worth their money. It depends on your preferences whether you really like all of them or not, but the quality is really good. There are much more other chocolatiers in Switzerland though, and great biscuit factories as well, often with factory sales and museums attached, so there's still much more to explore! Also, one of my favourite activities: Go on a hike in the mountains and end up at an alpine cheesery where you can watch them make cheese, try their cheeses and buy some to take home. Mountain cheeses are the best, and so much better than any cheese you can find in the US!
I wanted to let you know that I watched your video Train Ride From Italy to Switzerland - Bernina Express and it was incredibly helpful. I am from Norway. I find all your videos to be informative and well-made. Keep up the fantastic work!
So you tried pizzoccheri!!! That is my favorite pasta in the whole wide world!!! And bresaola! My favorite cold cut! Of course I am from not far from there... I am from Como, but my cousins lived in Sondrio and we visited them often!
Your 2hour trip is only half of the Bernina Express, the other half to Chur is also pitoresque and totally different, less snow, not as high, but deep green valleys of Albula surrounded by mountains and tons of bridges and tunnels.

I love watching you two! Beautiful video of your train ride experience to Switzerland. The food and the chocolate looked amazing, too! God bless you.

Thank you for sharing your trip with us once again! We are living vicariously through you. Enjoy the chocolate even more by sharing it! 🤣🥰😇
I learn about so many small towns from you guys! ❤
You are both looking so well and happy. I’m glad. ❤❤. You haven’t tried fondue until you try the authentic version somewhere in Switzerland. Memories came flooding back watching you eat that meal. . Thank you.
You guys are the best! This is on my bucket list. Buon divertimento! ❤
You guys are a pleasure to watch and i know that train journey is worthy but I've never done it.... On my bucket list now!
I am so excited, you are in my country! 🇨🇭 I hope you have good time! God bless you!! 🥰
I have taken the train from Zurich to Milan. Beautiful scenery and goes through the 12 mile-long Simplon Tunnel. Great trip.
Now imagine going half speed and over the top of the mountain, not through the tunnel.
So beautiful. Thanks for taking us along.
Thank you for bringing us along on your gorgeous outing!
Oh thank you for taking us on your journeys! My dream is to visit Italy one day with my hubby! It is gorgeous!♥️♥️
😂😅laughing so hard. We (mia sorella) are planning are 4th trip to Italy in 2 years. We LOVE (VOGLIAMO BENE) the south of Italy. Our famiglia is from Palermo.....but this time we are planning Milano, Bologna, Verona and Venezia. I said to my sister just YESTERDAY we should take the train for a day to Svizzera and HERE YOU ARE!!! You 2 are on my UA-cam feed for the past 2-3 years and we love you. 💚🤍❤️ we are 47% Sicilian born in the USA but if you 2 need extra Nonnas we are here for you. Mia sorella ha 81 anni, ho 71 anni. BTW we had the BEST sandwich in Ortigia, so Si si si Alessio we will take your advice everyday on the food😊mangia, mangia
I love Verona ! I have been there twice ! Once when I was 19 and once last year (20… years later) BUT went to Sicily this last trip in March with my grown son and it was indescribably beautiful. It felt like home . Loved every moment in Agrigento . Hope to spend more time in Palermo in the future. And I loved seeing all the dogs (as the owner of a great pyreneees mix)
Young love is so beautiful to see!
Jessi is already hooked on Italy and Europe .... more quality of life

What a beautiful fun day for you both!🚂🌞💞
We rode the same train and the same path - what a beautiful trip - would go back in second
New subscriber here! As a portuguese, I always find so funny the way our italian friends are so proud about their own food also. And you guys are such a lovely couple!
I went on this train in 2005 with my best friend and my sister only we went from Switzerland to Italy, but it was wonderful, beautiful Switzerland, and beautiful memories…my sister still craves Swiss chocolate!
