Come fish in nor cal near humboldt I’m 17 and I’m pretty new to steelhead also and I’ve been absolutely slaying down here at the mad river and eel river and I would be stoked to show u some spots and try to put you on some fish
There usually is a little bump where the fin was. A wild fish will have an actual fin. A hatchery fish will have a little bump where the scar healed over. Google photos of adipose fins.
Love that you show the struggle it takes to catch these fish. Keep it up man !
Thanks man! It definitely takes time and patience to catch these fish, but it's pretty rewarding when you finally do
Love your passion and persistence! How many times do you think you have been out this year to catch these amazing fish?
@@ag8782 thanks! I've been out 13 times and landed 3 fish so far!
Keep up the great work!
Nice catch..it is rewarding wen its landed

Well deserved fish! Time and patience is key! Keep up the good work! 💪🎣💯
Thanks! Couldn't have been happier with that fish!
Way to hang in there! Nice fish! And video!
Thanks! It was definitely worth the time
Now you going have to get a Ninja outfit with fish 🐟 on it!! Fish On 🐟 🐠 🎣
Exactly! 😂
For spinners, use #4 blue fox. Silver on a sunny day, gold or brass on a cloudy day. And of course blue body silver blade works in every conditions
Yep purple body silver blade is what worked for me!
👏👏 perseverance pays off! Great video!
Thanks man! I definitely worked for that fish but it was worth it!
Hell yeah bro that’s a nice one super Chromee
That's awesome man! Congrats!!
Thanks man!
Dude! Dang what a sick video! Made me so excited to do it again! That was awesome 🤘
Heck yeah man! We'll get out again soon
Congrats, can't wait for mine. Just started out last week.
Thanks! Hope you hook up soon, it's been tough in these low water conditions but fish are there!
Way to go! Keep after it!
Bro that was epic. I can feel your adrenaline….
Thanks! It was one of my favorite catches for sure
Nice grind
Nice fish dude always wanted to get one on a spinner!
Thanks man! Hope you get one soon!
Nice job Evan
Thanks Nic!
Just found your Channel you got some great content. Could you make a video on gear you need for steelhead or salmon.
Thanks
Thank you! And yes, I'll be making a video like that here soon!
What size spinner did you use and awesome fish!!!!!!
Size 4 blue fox, and thanks!

That would definitely be cool! Unfortunately that would be a pretty long drive for me, but keep slaying!
Solid!
Thanks man!
Holy shit I’d never leave the river bank if I load access to something like that. Only got creeks 4.5 feet deep here in lower east Michigan
I definitely don't take it for granted 🙏
Nice fish bud. Hit me up I’ll take ya out on the drift boat.
we can almost hear your heart rate shoot up when that fish bites... that's why we do it!
Wrong lure bro trust me when all fails in Oregon.. Big gold spoon!! Idk why u might lose a couple but for some reason thats my go to lure
weighing a fish like that is tricky: if my fishing buddy is holding it, it's 8-9 lbs. If I'm holding it, it's 13.
pull the gills or cut them right away, really makes a difference in the meat quality. nice work though!
Yep I actually did! Didn't show it in the video because UA-cam will sometimes remove stuff like that
Reason you hooked that fish is because you were walking up and casting.
Idk why it looked like a wild to me.. I guess that was just the nub?

Yep that was just the nub! It would have been a full fin had it been a wild
Awesome man ... Congrats!!! I can't wait to get one
Nice video! If you don’t mind me asking what river is this called trying to look for new spots to fish
