Thanks to Steve Perry joining the band in the late 70s with his awesome vocal range, Journey wouldn't be as popular as they are today! Perry made them with all there greatest hits. Arnel is a good singer, and sounds a lot like Steve Perry but doesn't have Perrys charisma!! You cant duplicate the original lineup!!
I guess only stupid fans thinks he is "duplicating" but if you clearly hear & watch Arnel perform he sounds a bit masculine than Steve P. & is even more energetic & has incredible pipes, imagine if he was discovered in his Prime.
