**Ovens Down Under Adventure Playlist** • Ovens Down Under
Greg is a self-taught survivalist from Canal Flats, British Colombia, who, since he was a boy, has read nearly every book on the topic. When he is not out in the wilderness, he is a professional dry-waller. He started his first bow drill fire when he was thirteen and spent the next forty years learning bushcraft and studying plants and edibles. He has even developed some of his own survival techniques and is a skilled hunter with both a bow and a slingshot.

Damnit greg, you got me with the jump scare.
Lol ditto
Me too, god damn you! hahaha
Same .. the first one definitely
All I heard was a fart noise lol
@Mc Kyle Dodongo please do not try to force your beliefs onto others; it makes you look like an asshole.
Instead of trying to convince others to adopt a particular belief or behavior, try to understand where they are coming from and engage in respectful dialogue. By listening and being open to different perspectives, you can create a more inclusive and understanding environment.
it's important to remember that people have the right to make their own choices and decisions, and enforcing your beliefs onto others can be counterproductive and alienating.
As an Australian this was hilarious to watch lol. You should of just left him to do his thing. It probably just looking for some rats or some water, he will leave by himself.
It's more dangerous messing around with him and pissing him off.
😁👍
lame video
When it takes a Canadian and a South African to make the best Australian content.
That's amore
An Australian would've turned the camera off and chopped the bastard in half
I immediately came to the comments to verify.... this is a S. African accent I'm hearing in Australia
Are you Australian oh wise one...
Are you kidding? Primitive Technology is awesome.
The first mistake was thinking that “an eastern brown snake can’t”!
They be like Houdini, will always surprise you with something.
Seemed like chilled out snake, probably just looking around for mouse or something to snack on.
Loved the intro, that morning country side fog.when I seen that I could smell that beautiful morning country air!!!!
Bugger , almost spilled my coffee
I'm a nineteen-year-old Canadian from New Brunswick. I love the outdoors, conservation, hunting, fishing, learning and practicing old and new survival techniques to keep you alive in the wilderness anytime of the year. Love your content... it has a great mix of knowledge, comedy, and reality...
Keep up the great work.
Snakes can climb corners very well! My everglades rat snake used to climb my corners of the window by pressing on both sides of the wall and window. There's not much a snake can't do! 👍❤️💛💚
In Germany we say: "Spannender als jeder Krimi!"
Thanks Greg for sharing that adventure! 🙏
I say awww wat a goodlookin snake ..then i carrys him or her off in the wild and say good day
I thought u lived in the rockies somewhere?? Moved to aussi land hey?
Hope you had a wonderful time with your family. Glad you had time to get in the bush and film. Can't wait to see!
Hey, Greg. This is probably one of the most nerve-wracking, yet hilarious snake relocations I've ever witnessed or watched on YT. Truly funny for this Aussie but also very concerning LOL.
This was both terrifying and hilarious. Great vid!
Jump scare at the end got me you sod 🤣👍
Greg, Greg, Greg.... mate they are fast as lightning.... DO NOT SCREW with a Brown Snake mate.... you are very fortunate to not of got pinned..!
I live in the bush on the Qld border and despite them being protected most people on farms would dispatch a snake like what near the house in a completely different way. This video is a really good demonstration of why. You put yourself at risk and now you have a dangerous snake right near the house. If you are 45 minutes away from a hospital like we are, you could very well not get there in time if you got bitten.
Our wildlife is already threatened don’t do that
@@danielworthington2949 you gotta do what you gotta do
@@outlawwill5483 yeah and you don’t gotta do that
@@danielworthington2949 when you got kids in Australia you do.
@@outlawwill5483 yeah but you don’t gotta do that 😂
Hope you're having a wonderful time Greg and stay safe. Can't wait to see what's in store for the next one so keep um coming ty and God bless
Great video Greg. My daughter lived in Australia for a couple years and told me all kinds of stories of the snakes and bugs.
I know it's serious but I was laughing at you two so hard, hilarious 🤣 the flashlight light was all shaken and Im sorry I was laughing so hard. What a hoot you guys were 😂😂
With you on that bro 😂
most farms have shotguns for brown snakes too dangerous to handle and no shortage of brown snakes
Welcome to australia.
We've had a few browns come through our back yard ony a couple of feet from back door. I guess when we live in outback aus we learn to live with them.
Snakes can climb vertically. They swim, jump, strike. Amazing animals. Glad you didn’t hurt him. I usually use a curved stick and a pillow case to catch the snakes. It’s awesome out there Greg. So cool. 🐸🍺🔪🔥
Yeah bro. Motorcycle, fly a kite. Make dirty with your mom…😆😆😆just kidding bro😆😆😆
Awesome video Greg! Most snakes usually just want to go their own way and do their own thing. They prefer to stay hidden and they recognize that we aren't prey because we're simply too big for them to eat. I'm glad you guys were able to get out of that situation safely and that the snake got to live on too! Truly beautiful little danger noodle.
are you trying to give a guy a heart attack!!?? the end got me. well done lol
Stay safe man,I'm guessing this isn't a catch & cook !?
Thanx for another good video while ur visiting ur family. Thanks for making time for us Greg. U didn't have to do any vids. We love ya❤️🐕🦺
As an expat Aussie living in NZ, I find pangs of homesickness watching this…
We used to get the browns to chase us, just for kicks as kids.
So funny hearing the saffer accent in the territory of my homeland
I jumped so bad I re separated my rib that just recently healed. Thanks Greg
💀
Been a while since I tuned in. This channel is so chill and informative.
Wow !!! What an awesome video! . Take care Greg!! Stay safe my friend !!
Rock-on-man! Everyone needs to get out of there comfort zone where they are not in control, i can see from the first EPISODE you did your homework, I'm so happy zac in Maine and his team is helping you out, so cool.
The guy from down under is more scared than u Fred!..😂..one love bro!..👊🏿🇯🇲🇯🇲
I was so invested in this and I was watching hard. My heart almost stopped and I threw my phone in the air when that jump-scare happened. It definitely got me 🤣
Bwahahahahahahahaa
Son of a duck! That little jumping snake you added got me 🤣
That actually made things completely worse..... always have a snake catching kit in Australia....loved Greg's adrenaline Rush
Snake catching kit is what? I shotgun with bird shot lol
@@minekush1138 Snake kit is a Y prong, V prong, deep net on long pole and good reflexes, none of witch Greg has lol.
@@Fiden6666 lol!!!! 😂😂😂😂
No fiden a snake kit is a 410 shotgun in straya mate...
Hell ya! Just got home from work, it's Friday. Time to crack a beer and watch some Mr Ovens
Thanks Fowler. Spilt my drink all over me when the snake jumped. Great video Greg! We are a big fan.
Man. This was a real-world lesson, this was.
I’ve followed you since Alone, glad to see you in Australia, my home. I’ve had a quite a few encounters with Eastern Browns out field but mostly Red Belly snakes around the house which I’d prefer if I had to choose (old tale that Red Belly snakes keep away Browns).
eastern browns, while not the most venemous in australia, they are among the most aggressive and tend to strike multiple times, despite being protected, a lot of country lads keep an old 410 near the front door specifically for them
You answered my question, protected or not I would still have to eliminate the threat to my family. And pay whatever fine was deemed necessary
I was thinking a 410 would be perfect. A Judge handgun loaded with heavy 410 birdshot shells seems about right.
@@hubrisnaut unfortunately, getting your hands on a pistol in australia requires jumping through a tonne of hoops, and even then it can only legally be used at a range, pistol hunting is all but unheard of down under, but i dont doubt you are spot on with that loadout though
@@brettmurphy3237 I know a couple people who go rabbit shooting with pistols. It's just easier/cheaper to get a .22 rifle and they have better range anyway.
@@p_campbell that is only if you were caught lol what people don't know don't hurt the back pocket lol.
Man.. You got me good with that one, I was already so tense from video haha prefect!
Good afternoon from Syracuse NY USA brother thank you for sharing your adventures
Who jumped at the end???😂 you got me! Wow! I’m not scared of snakes and I jumped!
The snake striking towards the camera at the end was a good one. That startled me. LOL!
This had me on the edge of my seat! WOW some spooky stuff indeed
Would love to see you back here in Australia Greg!
Almost pissed myself of laughter mate 😂 good lord, tears rollin’ down.
And a good lot of nerve-wreckness too. “I opened it with a stick”, after just sticking your head in to look for the browner 😜
Then the jacked-tight box, with no bottom. Couldn’t hold it no more!
Beautifull foutage of the surroundings btw. Great content on channel! Cheers! 🤘🏼
Awesome video mate! Bloody hot in Queensland at the moment, you heading north in your stay?
Back home now next year I will
@@OvensRockyMountainBushcraft awesome man, hope you enjoyed it here. Stay safe mate 🤙🏻
Exciting video. Hope you find more Aussie wildlife to show us in a safe distance.
Awsome again can't wait for the next one ....
Greg gotta say ya got me at the end with your darn joke with snake coming through screen I think you got me twice now with your humor lol
Great video man. That part of Australia looks beautiful.
you got me with the snake jumping at the screen greg!! i spilled my chili!!
Greg said Hey! I got bitten by a 4 foot snake! and Fowler said Snakes don't have feet.
Lol, that joke was hilarious 😂
Thanks 🙏 for sharing your life experience with us appreciate ❤
Sorry greg i was waiting for a snake under that container..you did good thou mate you certainly made sure he wasn't gunna get out the top lol...if they can fit there head thru a hole they can fit there body thru "very very sneaky"
Been a rough one today…glad I can escape reality for a time. Thanks Greg.
You can do it!
Gilbert sounds like he's from my home country South Africa! Makes sense as a lot of South Africans moved to Australia as farmers
Hell yeah! Just on time!!! Awesome :)
Must give credit where credit is due.... Nice jump scare at the end. well done :) got me good.
You got a great sence of humor Greg, did'nt see that one comming, hahaha.
You jumped me a little with the clip of the snake attacking the screen... 🤣🤣.. great seeing you.
Great start to the video
🤣🤣🤣I love the jump scare at the end classic Greg bed a few phones went flying 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
Plenty of respect for the King Brown, you’ve got max 30 minutes if you get bitten.
Can’t Waite to watch the video , stay safe man
You got me on the scare strike!!😂😂
Always makes me laugh when people come to Australia and see a snake, can't wait to see your reaction when you see a salty (crocodile)😂 enjoy your time in Australia 😊👍
Gday wombat its mako from lakes entrance i always piss my self when American's reaction to stralya type bities im a blue singlet wearing Aussie lived in the bush hunt im a bass Strait shark fisherman have been for thirty years..yere a big salty would make his arsehole pucker for sure lmao ..have a a safe one mate...
If they just left the snake alone it would have moved on pretty quickly. Eastern browns do not chase or attack anyone. Only reason you get bitten is doing stuff like these guys. We have them around our house all the time. Stay away or stay calmand still and they will just pass on by.
Watch for those snakes and spiders. Beautiful country! Beautiful farm!!
nice ending, got me lol
Now THAT was an adventure!
Very nice footage Greg! 👍
@15:26 I didn't half jump back! 🤣😂 Reminds me of snakes on a plane 👌❤️💛💚🤣
I'm happy the TV screen protects me from getting bit 😂 To remove snakes its best to use remote controled toys. The smarter the better off Greg ever watch robotics wars?
That's a great idea!
You did a great job building the tension with the audio.
This is so funny. A Canadian and a South African going over the top to catch a brown snake.
If I had to make a suggestion, open the door, let it go.
I'm sure there are a dozen other snakes watching on giggling from the bush.
God that was scary with that snake I really could not handle that stuff they must have to carry anti venom stuff over there so you can get to hospital. lol the snake jumping in the video was hilarious I jumped , Hope your having a great time with your family Greg
No the only place to get anti venom is from doctors, hospitals or Royal Flying Doctors or Ambo's I think it is kept in a fridge.
yes that it is
There are very few fatalities overall. I guess you just have to be cautious.
That ending made me jump so hard!! Good job man
A nope rope 😂
Greg and Gilbert ….Gooi mielies!
Your videos are ALWAYS " PRETTY COOL AY" 😀❤👍
I love your content Sir!
That’s great episode! Do more just like it😅
Aussie snake catching 101! Love it!
No
Awesome 👍👍
Oh,oh,oh,I will admit the snake strike got me. I am in the process of watching your previous videos. All good.
You got me to jump there. Good one.
The f...fer! You got a jump out of me! Lol🤣😂
Greg is THE BEST!!
So i used to play ice hockey.
Played for over 10yrs…
I didn’t realize how much I missed that heavy Canadian accent.
Reminds me of all those hockey camps in Canada I went to.
Oh, I’m also from California😂
This man is genius in the bush 👍🏻🏴🏴🏴
Can't wait to see what happens when Greg meets sharks
Youre brave to go near that. Huge snake. Stay safe. Enjoy your familia. Much love from Comanche Nation ✌🏾
Nah, Steve Irwin was brave, Greg is a scardy cat, lol.
@@Fiden6666 i wouldve ran lol but Greg he went in with that shovel which is very smart lol.
Saya pengen banget jalan jalan ke Australia
Welcome to Straya mate!
That jump scare got me sooo good lol
Well that's one way to do it. Love the jump scare.
That jump scare destroyed me hahaha
Dam I’m going to have a hart attack when that dam thing went to the camera and then u r sitting on the porch man my hart is still pounding lmbo that was a good one ya got me lol can’t wait for more of ur adventures
This reminds me to be thankful for the 40 cm of snow in one day and the -30c weather I have had this year, so I don’t have to deal with that!
Love the Steve Irwin clips. 🥰😇🥰
Woooooo that's like bumpin shoulders with the Grim Reaper
