- This small Japanese Maple I've been working on has now developed an issue that I need to correct for the good of the tree.
To become the best Bonsai it can be in the future I need to remove the section that goes against the rules set for a good stylistic bonsai.
Please enjoy the video and leave a comment.
Thank you for watching.
Nice work on that Christophe mate
And the greenhouse mate watched that one good job on that fella 👊👊
Cheers man. The poly tunnel held up to that strong wind last night so I guess, job well done. 😁
Hey Christophe , Im sitting here 30 degrees sun belting me and I see you in your jacket and gloves....Brrrrrrrr. 09:20 very satisfying. An option could be to double pot the tree and let the roots grow out the bottom of that pot. Cheers mate
Paul. Bragging about how hot it is over there isn't fair.😭 It's freezing 🥶
9.20 agreed it was satisfying!
I'm just going to do a full repot, it needs it. The pot is full and the tree would benefit from a larger pot.
@bonsaiexpression awesome
I would even consider to make a new leader from the lowest branch ... to get better taper in the trunk for the future.
It's always a shout for another chop in spring summer if it doesn't go the way I intend. It's young and in development so all options are good options. 😊
That is a derastic pruning.
These need to happen to get the best results.
@@bonsaiexpression You are the expert.
@sheriefkamal787 An expert I'm far from. I'm just enjoying my hobby and sharing it with like minded people.
But if we don't make these big decisions early on we will regret it later on in the trees life and they will be harder to correct our past mistakes.
@ I am new to the art of bonsai. I have started like 8 years ago. I have a collection of about 40 trees. Most of them are in the pre bonsai phase. But I am enjoying the journey not the arrival. 🙂🙂
@sheriefkamal787 that's a good collection. It's all about the peace of mind for me and enjoying the hobby and watching the trees develop. I have a busy and stressful job so to relax doing bonsai is something that I find helps too.
