Welcome back Adam!! I hope to see your new loft completed. Love the pairings you have and I hope the transition of the birds to this new loft goes well🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽.
Your not messing around Adam! Good work. If you ever feel for a brother lockdown in Melb. I would be interested in any young birds you don’t need for your various projects!!
Thanks John, trying to make the best with what I've got to work with. The loft isn't too big, its 5x2m combined for stock and race birds. Lets see how the breeding season goes :)
Congratulations and all the best! I've been learning a lot from your videos and have surprised all my friends by my color breeding results. My pairs have had chick that didn't resemble their parents because of their genotype and most of the credit goes to what I've learnt from you. Thanks!
@@AdamArcherPigeons I've been waiting to see you update videos on recessive opal + spread, Andalusian and Brown breeding. I've managed to get birds of the same colors to cross check them with your results. However we have the monsoons here, so I'll start pairing them in winter. Cheers and thanks a ton.
Very nice looking loft Adam, can't wait to see it up in full swing! I recently was given a Red Cock and and Silver Hen, which have some quality racing credentials, I have also put these together, with the hopes of adding more variety and quality into some of my Yellow Racers! All the Best!!
@@AdamArcherPigeons It was the yellow spreads for me that first piqued my interest. I remember seeing them for the first time as a much younger lad at Lier market in Belgium! Before then I didn't even know that these colours could happen! I insisted that I wasn't leaving the market until my Grand parent bought me this bird!! As an adult now I am in a position to be able to understand far more about the birds!!
HI ADAM, CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR WIN, LOFT WILL LOOK BEAUTIFUL WHEN IT'S FINISHED. HERE IN ENGLAND IT WOULDN'T BE FUNCTIONAL BECAUSE OF THE TEMPERATURE FLUCTUATIONS OVER HERE. THE TIN SHEETING WOULD CAUSE CONDENSATION. HOWEVER YOUR WEATHER CONDITIONS MAY NOT BE AS SEVERE AS OURS, I MEAN IN TEMPERATURE SWINGS. IT MAY BE THE PERFECT LOFT. YOU WILL KNOW BETTER THAN ME WHAT IS NEEDED. YOU LIVE THERE. GOOD LUCK WITH THE RACING AND LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING A BEAUTIFUL NEW LOFT WHEN IT'S FINISHED. 🌟💯👍👍🏴
Did you construct it yourself or through a builder. Is the frame welded? Stainless steel? Mate it looks so good. Flooring is a sealed plywood? I can suggest pvc or mesh blinds for the openings stops the rain but still breaths!. I can help you with that.
I had a fabricator build the welded frame, then I put it together and clad the walls with colorbond. I build the floor, it is Yellowtongue sheeting on top of treated pine bearers and joists. Thanks mate.
Cracking loft Adam but I feel it may get really hot 🔥 in the summer time being metal if lined with wood should help the heat issue. Great video as always mate 👍
Will be getting back into the game and your new loft looks excellent. Would like to know details on its design, materials and construction. With current costs of wood, this looks very interesting. Also interested to know if it was it a kit, your design, did you have a fabricator? Maybe another video to explain?
It's 5x2 metres, the breeding sections are 1100mm wide and the flying sections are 1400. I find it small, but I'm VERY limited for space here so it's currently all I can fit.
Like I said in the video, the internal walls will be lined and insulated. I also live in a mild climate, and my loft faces south so will be colder than if it faced the idea north.
No. A yellow hen would have to receive both the ash red and the dilute genes from her father, which cannot happen with this pair. That is why I need another generation to combine the genes.
@@AdamArcherPigeons yellow hen and black cock.. Bird. Pairing produced.... Silver female chick... (few years back. ..accidental pairing) thats why i asked
@@AdamArcherPigeons will do I have a plan to pair them in the coming days to 2019 partners. Hard to believe either bird would have this problem so young both are long distance performers which I bought in so disappointing. And really would make a super pair.
North is best, followed by NE or East. Mine unfortunately faces south due to the layout of my yard, but I don't have much space so I've got to make do with what I have
Exciting times with both you and Kurt building new lofts. Those old boys are very handsome, hope they fill some more eggs for you.
Thanks 🙂 its funny how we've both settled into our new places and started making videos again around the same time!

I like this design being metal because you can bust out the pressure washer and spray the hell out of the loft whenever you have the time
Super duper loft Adam
Good job!!!

nice loft! aluminum framing is an interesting idea! how did that work out for you?
Steel frame, but I love it. Very happy with how it worked.
How much did this loft cost?
Hi, Iam from India i have come to Netherlands for 3 weeks. I am staying in Amstelveen now. I could like to visit your loft please

Can you share the blueprints for this loft
It's 5x2 metres, the breeding sections are 1100mm wide and the flying sections are 1400.
I find it small, but I'm VERY limited for space here so it's currently all I can fit.
Hi thanks for the info and video.
What is measurement of the sections and total of the loft? Thanks.
The loft is 5 metres by 2 metres, I'll make a more detailed video on the sections when I put the internal walls in.
@@AdamArcherPigeons thank for the quick reponse.
The size of the square tubing ?
@@jammokamitso Not sure, I had a shed fabricator build the frame. I'll measure it later on.
the metal will cause the lofts to be hotter than the exterior temperature, i think that the material used for the structure will cost issues
Like I said in the video, the internal walls will be lined and insulated. I also live in a mild climate, and my loft faces south so will be colder than if it faced the idea north.
Air cross no point why
Any possibility that the red checker and silver hen... produce an yellow hen
No. A yellow hen would have to receive both the ash red and the dilute genes from her father, which cannot happen with this pair. That is why I need another generation to combine the genes.
@@AdamArcherPigeons yellow hen and black cock.. Bird. Pairing produced.... Silver female chick... (few years back. ..accidental pairing) thats why i asked
@@vishnusj8649 The cock must have been carrying the dilute gene.
@@AdamArcherPigeons thank for the rply... 👍❤️
Hey got a question have u very seen a white pigeon with black flights?
I have a pigeon similar to that, I'll show it in a future video when the loft is completed!
@@AdamArcherPigeons ok thank
Any tips on vertiliity? Currently I'm having issues with a 2017 pair, all 4 nests this year were clear/duds, no other pairs had this issue.
Try them with different partners to see which is the infertile one.
@@AdamArcherPigeons will do I have a plan to pair them in the coming days to 2019 partners. Hard to believe either bird would have this problem so young both are long distance performers which I bought in so disappointing. And really would make a super pair.
Did you buy this as a kit??
I designed it and had the frame made in a factory, then I built it on site in my yard
VERY nice!!
Do you have plans for your loft? I'd love to build one the same
Don't copy me, I'm just trying to make the best of what I've got - small yard facing south. Best to plan for your own circumstances 👍
Wont the loft be very hot in summer considering its full metal
It will be lined with plywood on the inside for insulation
@@AdamArcherPigeons what do u think about mesh floor in breeding section... it would save u a lot of effort and time
Noooo definitely not. Mesh floors are terrible for health. I'm happy to put the effort in for the good of my birds.
@@AdamArcherPigeons wow i didn't know that its unhealthy... whats the reason for that?
It grows mould and fungi, which get into the pigeons lungs. Terrible for health.
Hi mate , loft looks great!! I’m looking at having a loft done soon as well, may I ask what aviary mob done yours ??
Steel Chief sheds built the frame, I did the rest myself
Adam, I’m in Melbourne.. about to build a loft .. what’s the ideal direction a loft should face ?
North or East best.
North is best, followed by NE or East. Mine unfortunately faces south due to the layout of my yard, but I don't have much space so I've got to make do with what I have
