John Newman once said, "why nobody has thought of running a motor on back emf". So I think, he must be energizing the coils with little current for very short duration of time, and on opening the circuit, the collapsing magnetic field of the coil generating very high voltage and very high current (=thick wire) for very short duration must be storing in the capacitor and the charge from the capacitor will be running the motor.
He wrote a book and all the info is there explained clear as a day. No need for any speculation how this works. Yes it basicly works with collapsing field. Like throwing ball in the air that gravity sucks back. But the working force here is the gyroscopes of copper atoms colliding each other with speed of light. This motor is an testament to the E=mc2

I took that setup apart and used the wheel for a bedini wheel so i cant even test that exact setup anymore. Also , my commutator was good but not any where close to how it should be in order to get a motor of this type to get to over unity. I basicly had a home maid DC motor. But it was a great project and i learned a whole lot from it

That's the theory of the Newman motor is that the electric gets caught up in the coil and with the emf bursts from the on off.. it starts to send excess energy back to the battery. Almost like the ocean tides going back and forth and then continuously adding water. The tide should become greater

By pulsing the DC voltage, you are creating a half-wave AC signal or more correctly a neg or pos pulsing DC voltage... The Bell coils in a old D-500 telephone works the same, to ring the phone !!!! Now there may be some kind of spike on the back end that you could feed back to the batt but that's going a bit far !!!!!!!

Newman Motor consumption is very low. 10 to 100mA It means that it is a very efficient motor. I would do a generator wirh this newman motor. A generator capable to recharge any 30A lead acid battery..or Lithium battery.. 👍😆

He did have some followers but i think they were blinded by his double talk. When someone builds one that actually does something which i wouldn't. There are other alternatives now that seem way better then the big clanky motor he had. Yeah it pumped water and did some work but i didn't see anything that would say wow look someone finally made a free energy machine.

@Kirby I know next to nothing in electricity but i sense that running off an array of small batteries to obtain a certain voltage still ain't gonna have as much capacity as large vehicle batteries. Newman did say (in the Big Eureka video for example) that his contraption runs off voltage rather than current (which i believe is measured in Amperes). Personally i'm interested enough in lower energy consumption to not get all excited about the over-unity thingy.

Looks like a piece of junk. Too much gap between rotor and coil. Not enough wire. Need at least 10 miles. Energy comes from the wire but you've got tiny coils.
You show only the ampere output- that does not say anything- by changing voltage you can manipulate any amp results .... an old trick used by producers of these machines for decades.... unbelievable, that people still fall for this .....the Newman motor works with the same cheat as we all know by now

Perfect for an off-grid scenario. A pulley on the axle would turn a self exciting one wire alternator and provide some power.
