For a “plus size” version heres the modifications I made (size XL-XXL):
For the neck I chained 76, I made 10 rows before starting the sleeves, and chained 15 for each sleeve.
So so helpful!! Thanks for sharing your technique I know this will help 🥰💓
I did the same for L/XL and just chained for the sleeves and it looks like it’s going to work well!
What size hook and yarn
thank u queen
I’m so happy I saw your comment right now , I was having difficulties with it I was struggling whether to add another row or not
1:35 chain 76, slip stitch in first Chain
2:32 row 1: chain 3, treble crochet across the row
3:54 add stitch markers
5:22 row 2: chain 3, treble crochet until reach stitch marker.
5:44 in the chain with the stitch marker: treble crochet, chain 1, treble crochet.
How many skeins should I get?
@@moronmelater9872 maybe 2 or 3 the most.
@@moronmelater9872 but it also might depend on the size you make it. Get a bit more tho just in case. Sometimes I think I’m good with a bit then I run out in the middle of it.
thank you for doing the lord's work❤
i finished this in one night. THIS is why i hate knitting and switched to crotcheting. i literally used to spend multiple days knitting potholders and towels and i just made a whole ass sweater in less than 8 hours
Hello Erin, I would consider myself a pretty advanced crocheter, but I have always been intimated by raglan sweaters, it's like my brain can't understand what's going on with them haha but this tutorial was so simple and easy peasy to follow and I can not wait to make my own raglan sweater! thank you for being amazing and sharing your makes with us. p.s I literally have your ribbed beanie pattern on repeat for christmas gifts haha
your comment has made my day! thank you so much for telling me that 🤍 it makes me so happy to hear that I could help you figure out a pattern that you've never understood before. my rambling has paid off 😂✨
did you do it? if so do you know if the chain 3 counts as a stitch or not
@@pinkapoppy the ch 3 does not count as a stitch
I've been trying to figure out how she transitioned into the arma for a whole day but I simply can't understand it
I never knew that I had to turn my work when I'm crocheting in the round! Lifechanging! Completely saved a few projects I had just started on
I don't understand how you turn your work, do you start the new color in the other direction or attach and then turn? (specifically in this sweater)
@@anniewalter9975 id consider myself an intermediate level crocheter but i think you add the new color first, chain, then switch your orientation
@@anniewalter9975 hey I know im late but just slip stitch using the new color, chain 3 and then flip it over and start the next row from there!
@@amyk1575 so helpful cos i was so confused, God bless u
@@amyk1575 flip it over from left to right or like upside down?
I spent a month knitting a sweater. This was such a fun project to knock out in less than a day. You have explained raglan sleeves and exposed the mystery to me. I’m forever changed!
amazing tutorial!! i'm so excited to make this!! i was searching and searching for a cute top down sweater because i HATE making four panels and stitching them together haha. thank you thank you!!
Thanks so much for taking the time to do this! I have been wanting to make one of these for YEARS but always felt intimidated by it because I thought it would be harder 😂 started 2 today and crocheted all day with snacks and movies and I'm halfway done with both I'm so excited! Turning out amazing
I like your video. I am an experienced crocheter of over 60+ years, but I have to tell you this sweater is just beautiful. Keep up your sweet attitude and great work. 😊
This is so kind of you Donna!! I’m so glad to have your kind heart here with me 💖
I just finished! I used alpaca mo-hair and I can say it’s my favorite crochet piece I have made ever!
I’m making another for my friends birthday! ❤️
I've made such cool sweaters thanks to this tutorial with yarn that wasnt suiting any shawls or other projects. I love when things feel like they were made for eachother :') Thank you!!
Ahh thank you!!
ahh im just starting this but im going to make it longer and bigger and BROWN im so excited! i started to try and make a sweater like this with no pattern and realized it wasnt going to work so this is making me so happy that its working!
Amazing tutorial! I have been crocheting for a few years but this is my first time making a raglan! Such easy instructions and you have such a calming and beautiful vibe!!
The colours are so beautiful together
Just made this and it turned out so amazing. I have been crocheting for a year now pretty consistently and this is the fastest project I've done. I am definitely going to be making more, thank you so much for sharing this!
I’m using this pattern to make a very wispy mohair sweater 🥰 so excited! Thank you and it’s very easy too!
Ahhhh yes I used the same pattern to make a 100% mohair sweater and it’s the CUTEST thing ever 🥰💓
i'm doing a mohair sweater with the pattern right now!
Did u use the same size hook?
How many yards of mohair did you need? and what size did you make?
I’m sooo excited to try to make one of my own! I love how you give tips for different design options ☺️ Oh, and hi Millie! 💗
I used this pattern to crochet a sweater for a friend. Absolutely love how it turned out! Just thought I would mention that when attaching the chains for the sleeve portion, I treble crocheted to attach it, instead of slip stitching. Not that I think it really matters. I think it just lays nicer. Thank you for sharing this tutorial!🥰🤍
Your advice on turning your work when crocheting in the round… life changing!!!!
this is stunning!! thank you so much for demystifying the top down technique! I cannot wait to make one!
Your tutorials are literally the best. I’ve learned all my crochet from you!
I dove head-first into a sweater for myself without looking up any helpful videos like yours (mistake! lmao) and just your tip of turning your work instead of working in the round fixed a big issue I was having with crooked seams :) thank you!
Oh my goshhh! I'm so recreating this. I bought some new yarn today and this will be perfect! And hi Millie:)
I am delighted! you are the only one who could explain the technique of knitting this sweater so simply. I did it! thank you very much💗💗💗
Ahhh thank you so much ❣️
I've been trying to figure out a raglan yoke for ages. You explain everything so clearly I actually understand! Thanks so much!
Yay of course! 💓
Thank you! I love the way you do this by making and fitting. That way I can also insure my sweater fits perfectly! Love the video!
Wow! It looks so cute! I can't wait to try my hand at making something like this I already have way too many WIPs to finish before I can allow myself to start something new but I am so excited to try this! Your instructions are very clear and easy to follow, you did an amazing job! And hi Millie ☺🌱
Thank you so much!! I really wanted to explain as much as possible, the video would have been like 35 minutes originally but I HAD to cut it down 😂💓
Great pattern, thanks for sharing! I ended up doing decreases every 5 stitches for the last two rows of the sleeves, and then ribbing for 4 rows to create a sturdier cinc
Thank you so much for this pattern! It was great to come across such a young lady teaching so well :) I'm very happy I came across your channel! Awesome tips too, thank you Erin b :)
omg okay thank you so much for this!! I've found it really easy to follow along and although I'm not finished yet, I'm already so inspired with ways that I can build off of this pattern!! As a beginner... I bow to thee
I have a raglan sweater that id like and i think all raglan sweaters top the look and style of sweater styles and comfort. I hope to try your pattern, its soo pretty ❤️
I made this in pastel colours. Absolutely love it. Thank you so very much xx
This is the easiest crochet sweater I've seen yet. Nice work and very pretty
Hi Millie ! I freaking love your voice it’s so soothing and love watching you make one of a kind items while I crochet or knit !
Absolutely adorable sweater and what a great teacher you are! Thanks so much for your time and effort! LOVED the sweater!
Oh my gosh, that is simply gorgeous... And you've demystified that raglan sleeve thing for me.. Than k you so much.. Its beautiful and I'm going to have a go at that. 👏💖
You have a gift with explaining and teaching. Keep going, you truly seem passionate about what you're doing.
Wow, this made my day. Thank you so much for being so supportive and kind 💓💓
Finished my first ever crochet project with this pattern and have not stopped wearing it, your video was very easy to follow from a beginner's perspective, thank you!
I’m so happy you made a piece that you’re obsessed with!! 💖
Love it. Can’t wait to start my own version of this cute sweater.
Hi Millie! Love this btw been waiting for the tut cant wait to recreate this but in the crop version along with the more baggy sleeves. You’re killin it :)
You made that look so easy! Looking forward to trying one myself! I’m encouraged!
I loooooove the colors you used for this!!!!! 🤩
since ive been travelling a lot, i always bring my sweater along and work on it!
Haha Hi Millie!
First, thank you so much for all of your hard work! I am so going to try my first sweater now! I have like 1600yds of crazy soft neon speckled fingering yarn that is just screaming for it!
the colors work super well together!! planet earth vibes 🌎
I used double treble crochet stitches to make mine and it’s working up sooooo pretty, you should try it if you make another one! :)
This sweater is so beautiful ❤❤❤ love all of the colors! This is the second tutorial of yours I’m using and you explain things so lovely , especially someone like me that gets sooo confused 😂😂
soooo helpful - I've been looking for a tutorial like this for so long & you explain it so well!
So so happy it helped you!! I never know if I talk too much or if it actually helps but I try 🥰💓
great explanation!! so hard for me to learn raglan but you made it really simple thanksss
I love this sweater! Colors look great together! I just found you on UA-cam, I will be following you now! Thank you for your great tutorial!
Hi Erin! Your Sweater is Very Beautiful! I Love all the Pretty Colors you used! Thanks for sharing and the Inspirational Boost to make myself one too! 😊❤
Beautiful!, I love the colors!, Looks like a Cleopatra sweater! Nice job! I watch lots of crochet videos. Your music & voice are so soothing and clear. I had this one while making a hexagon filet jacket. Thanks! I will try this next.
Super beautiful! Will recreate it for a Xmas gift, thank you...Millie is so cute too!
Your sleeve demo is among the best on YT because of the multifocal angles you show of the section. 👍
i appreciate this comment! me thinking i filmed this terribly back then, LOL
This tutorial is amazing thank you so much! I’m in progress to making my sweater now 😁
I love this sweater! You explained it very well. I'll give it a try with a lace yatn! Thanks
omgggggggggg thank you!!! this sweater is so fun to make because i'm so excited to add the next colour and see how it looks hehe
Yes every part of the sweater is literally a surprise and mystery 🥰💓
always grateful for captions but especially today so i can watch this on a slow day at work 😂 looking forward to starting a raglan on my break soon!!!
Hehee I won’t tell on you 😂💖
Ahhhh super excited to try this out. Thank you for the tutorial 💗 Btw, hi Millie!! 🪴
I saw this pattern on pinterest and knew I had to make it! I tried so many videos and all either didnt have what I was looking for or was to complex for me to understand. This video is so easy to follow and understand. I'm already half way done my first sleeves and eager to see how it turns out!
Ahhhh I can’t wait to see!!! 💖💖
This came out so so beautiful. I love the combination of colors . 😊🥰💜💙💚💛🧡 Hi Millie !
I'm going to be starting a top down sweater that's worked in the round and the pattern did say to turn each round and I didn't understand why or how until you explained it here! I'm more experienced in amigurumi so I end up working with the spiral that's created from crochet leaning one side XD I'm hoping when I start my sweater that I can get in the habit of turning it each time XD thanks for such a fun chill and informative video!
Thank you for a clear and informative video. I love your colour choices which makes for a lovely finished product. I'm going to try this with a self striping yarn.
Thank you so much!! Glad you liked it 💖
Excited to try this! My first attempt at a sweater and going to try this! Hi Millie:)
Hi Millie ❤️ Thank you so much for this nice tutorial Erin.
I been looking for a simple pattern for long time eventually i found one thank you so simple easy to follow
We’ve been waiting for this oneeee
Hi Millie! I love your videos, you inspired me to learn how to crochet and I love it.
That makes me so genuinely happy to hear that. It was other artists that got me back into crocheting and I want to help others do the same! ✨✨
This is the kind of pattern I've been looking for love this tutorial 💗
Yay I’m so glad!! 💖
This really helped for making my first sweater thank you
thank you so much for sharing, I'm so in love with the sweater!!! I will make sure to try it myself!
Also hi Milli!!!
hi millie! I've been dying to make my first real sweater, Im gonna have to try this, I can't believe how simple it looks! I love the cool greens and blue colorways in this!
Yes it’s very very simplistic I think! Hope you make it! 💓
oooh this would be so pretty with the lemon peel stitch!
I made this and it worked up so quick! Got it gone done in 3 days, definitely try this out!
Hey, I saw your comment and was wondering how much yarn you used? Thank you!❤️
Watching your video while crocheting 🤍
It looks so good 👍🏽
Doing the very same thing myself, watching the video a year later -- while crocheting myself. This is a brilliant pattern!
I love how quickly this is working up! Also how you can get a flowy fabric without having to use a super skinny yarn. I'll make this sweater. Thanks for sharing!
Update: I made my sweater and I love it 😍
yay i'm so happy it worked out perfect
I know, I've said it before, but this is so gorgeous, I keep coming back to it as you have some brilliant tips and it's just so lovely to look at.
That’s so sweet of you, thank you for saying that!! 💓
@@itserinb Its true! I made my first raglan top after seeing this.. Keep being you! 💓
Love the colours!
Thank you!! 💖
Thank you for showing us how to make this! 💖 I made my first sweater in just 2 days. I used a caron latte cake and it turned out so good. I only used one cake
how do you like it? i’m currently using same yarn to make one rn, i got “red velvet”
@@skylerxyt I'm kinda obsessed lol I already went to buy more to make another sweater. The latte cakes are sooo fuzzy and soft
This is a fun sweater to make. Thank you for the tutorial. You are AWESOME!! :-)
Love love love this pattern thankyou so much
Hello Erin, Maybe it would be more useful for us if we could see what you are actually doing...it would be easier for us if the camera was filming your hands...thank you!
yes!!
this would be so helpful cause its really hard for me to see what shes doing & visualize it from my pov while im crocheting 😭
She is literally telling us what to do and showing it. Why do you need to be able see it from the other perspective? Do u not know what a chain, treble crochet and slip stitch is?
@@iamnotamundane1058 if the answer is no then what? she offered great constructive critique that helps for all level types!! you’re rude.
This tutorial is most likely for more skilled crocheters so it should be enough for her to just tell what to do and not showing it step by step as well. I think it’s a good tutorial but that’s just my opinion. Maybe learn more of the basics before crocheting this sweater /lh
Omg, I was watching this in the background while I was working and had the most surreal moment when you said hi Millie at the end ahahaha :) lovely pattern erin
Hahaha millies unite 😂💓
Thank you. I found your video instructions very clear. I am about to attempt a jumper.
Really cute! Nice job! 💙
This is amazing! I love it! Thank you!
I’d love to see your yarn stash. I feel like I’m always seeing different yarn on your channel 😊
I'm honestly just trying to make a blanket for my cat, but I'm super here for all your content 💕
I love that for your cat
This is the first time I’ve actually felt like I can tackle making something wearable. Good looks.
i GOTCHU!!
Absolutely gorgeous! 💖
hi nilly this is my new plant, i just finished my sweater and i love it sm!! i made it in light pastel colours and shes a beauty
