@jsshay01 I was raised Babptist, it isn't my salvation, it's my denomination. I get my salvation from God, like I repented to God. I don't fill a need to belong to a church for that. It's about the fellowship for me. But to be fair the church I grew up attending is only 3 miles from my home. If I like the message somewhere else. I could careless about his or her denomination. A fishing buddy is a fishing buddy kinda thing.

I'm a black man who is Southern Baptist. It was through the missionary work of the Southern Baptist Convention done at Grambling State University. This is where Chirst found me and saved me from his eternal wrath. It was at a BSU Bilble study where I heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ repent, believed, and was born again in the newness of life in Christ. Now, I preach and teach the Biblical Gospel everywhere I can. So I may play a small part in giving the good news to God's elect so they might be saved. Also, preaching and teaching the biblical gospel. To drive those who refuse to worship God. Deeper into darkness as a righteousness condemnation for their continued rebellion and unbelief.

@markwillhite9200 This is the good news: God the Father treated God the Son like you a sinner. Jesus was pure, holy, and undefiled. Jesus Chirst, bearing the full weight of God's eternal wrath on your behalf. Then God treating you just like the sinless Lamb of God. Jesus Christ righteousness imputed to your account. Making you holy and acceptable, resurrecting you into the newness of life in Christ. All of this being acomplised by the power of the Eternal Spirit. So, you and all those who repent and believe may enter in the presence of God and enjoy Him forever.

The Protestants who rebel and have fallen away as those spoken of in 2Thess. 2, have stumbled at the Stumbling stone because you all have refused Christ who named Simon, "Peter" meaning Rock and Gave Him the power to bind and loosen on earth in Christ's visible absence. It is not the Pope you reject, it is Christ. . John 13:20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, *He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me;* and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. Thus it is written: 1John 4:6 (KJV) 6 *We are of God:* he that knoweth God *heareth US;* *he that is NOT OF GOD HEARETH NOT US.* *Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.* THAT'S HOW YOU KNOW PEOPLE ARE A HERETIC, IF THEY REFUSE TO HEAR THE CHURCH.
1 Peter 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: *but unto them which be disobedient,* the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
8 *And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.*
Many a Protestant has gone to hell preferring to read the bible rather than obeying the Church as Christ commanded. You might as well be Mormon or Adventist.
What idiocy is it that fool who would use sacred scripture to as tool to justify their rebellion against the Church Christ Himself Instituted. But, the Protestants have done that very thing.

No it's not. This video is 100% WRONG. The Baptist Faith was NOT "a spin-off from the Protestant movement". The Independent Fundamental Baptist Faith existed LONG BEFORE the Roman Catholic church ever existed, but they weren't known as "Baptists" in the early days, which would come later. See my stand-alone comment above to learn how & why. Also: the Southern Baptist Convention is HIGHLY corrupt.

"Cephas, (Peter in the Greek) is the Rock, " we showed that the early Church Fathers recognized that Peter is the rock of whom Christ spoke when he said, "You are Peter and on this rock I will build my Church." In this pamphlet we will spell out some of the implications of that fact.
Christ said to Peter, *YOU ARE ROCK*, not I am Rock. You all can't get the simplest things correct.
fact that Peter was made the foundation of the Church had practical implications, as it gave him a special place or primacy among the apostles. As the passages below demonstrate, the early Church Fathers clearly recognized this as well.
      Clement of Alexandria
"[T]he blessed Peter, *the chosen, the pre-eminent, the first among the disciples* , for whom alone with himself the Savior paid the tribute [Matt. 17:27], quickly grasped and understood their meaning. And what does he say? `Behold, we have left all and have followed you'" [Matt. 19:27; Mark 10:28] (Who Is the Rich Man That is Saved? 21:3-5 [A.D. 200]).
      Tertullian
"For though you think *that heaven is still shut up, remember that the Lord left the keys of it to Peter here, and Through him to the Church* , which keys everyone will carry with him if he has been questioned and made a confession [of faith]" (Antidote Against the Scorpion 10 [A.D. 211]).
      Tertullian
"[T]he Lord said to Peter, ' *On this rock* I will build my Church, I have given you the keys of the kingdom of heaven [and] whatever you shall have bound or loosed on earth will be bound or loosed in heaven' [Matt. 16:18-19] . . . *Upon YOU* he says, I will build my Church; and *I will give to you the keys, not to the Church*; and *whatever YOU shall have bound or YOU shall have loosed, NOT what they shall have bound or they shall have loosed* " (Modesty 21:9-10 [A.D. 220]).
The Letter of Clement to James
"Be it known to you, my lord, that Simon [Peter], who, for the sake of the true faith, and the most sure *foundation of his doctrine, was set apart to be the foundation of the Church, and for this end was by Jesus Himself*, with His truthful mouth, named Peter, the first-fruits of our Lord, *the first of the apostles* ; to whom first the Father revealed the Son; whom the Christ, with good reason, blessed; the called, and elect" (Letter of Clement to James 2 [A.D. 221])
      Origin
"[I]f we were to attend carefully to the gospels, we should also find, in relation to those things which seem to be common to Peter . . . a great difference and a preeminence in the things [Jesus] said to Peter, compared with the second class [of apostles]. *For it is no small difference that Peter received the keys not of one heaven but of more, and in order that whatsoever things he binds on earth may be bound not in one heaven but in them all, as compared with the many who bind on earth and loose on earth*, so that these things are bound and loosed not in [all] the heavens,* as in the case of Peter, but in one only; for they do not reach so high a stage with power as Peter to bind and loose in all the heavens* " (Commentary on Matthew 13:31 [A.D. 248]).
      Cyprian of Carthage
"The Lord says to Peter: 'I say to you,' he says, 'that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church' . . . On him [Peter] he builds the Church, and to him he gives the command to feed the sheep [John 21:17], and although he assigns a like power to all the apostles,* yet he founded a single chair* [cathedra], and he established by his own authority a source and an intrinsic reason for that unity. Indeed, the others were that also which Peter was [i.e., apostles], *but a primacy is given to Peter, whereby it is made clear that there is but one Church and one chair*. So too, all [the apostles] are shepherds, and the flock is shown to be one, fed by all the apostles in single-minded accord. *If someone does not hold fast to this unity of Peter, can he imagine that he still holds the faith* ? If he [should] desert the chair of Peter upon whom the Church was built, can he still be confident that he is in the Church?" (The Unity of the Catholic Church 4; 1st edition [A.D. 251]).
      Cyril of Jerusalem
"The Lord is loving toward men, swift to pardon but slow to punish. Let no man despair of his own salvation. *Peter, the first and foremost of the apostles*, denied the Lord three times before a little servant girl, but he repented and wept bitterly" (Catechetical Lectures 2:19 [A.D. 350]).
      Cyril of Jerusalem
"[Simon Magus] so deceived the city of Rome that Claudius erected a statue of him . . .While the error was extending itself, Peter and Paul arrived, a noble pair and the rulers of the Church, and they set the error aright. . . . [T]hey launched the weapon of their like-mindedness in prayer against the Magus, and struck him down to earth. It was marvelous enough, and yet no marvel at all, for Peter was there--he that carries about the keys of heaven [Matt. 16:19]" (ibid., 6:14).
      Cyril of Jerusalem
"In the power of the same Holy Spirit, Peter, both the chief of the apostles and the keeper of the keys of the kingdom of heaven, in the name of Christ healed Aeneas the paralytic at Lydda, which is now called Diospolis" [Acts 9:32-34] (ibid., 17:27).
      Ephraim the Syrian
"[Jesus said:] Simon, my follower, I have made you the foundation of the holy Church. I betimes called you Peter, because you will support all its buildings. You are the inspector of those who will build on Earth a Church for me. If they should wish to build what is false, you, the foundation, will condemn them. You are the head of the fountain from which my teaching flows; you are the chief of my disciples. Through you I will give drink to all peoples. Yours is that life-giving sweetness which I dispense. I have chosen you to be, as it were, the first-born in my institution so that, as the heir, you may be executor of my treasures. I have given you the keys of my kingdom. Behold, I have given you authority over all my treasures" (Homilies 4:1 [A.D. 351]).
      Ambrose of Milan
"[Christ] made answer: 'You are Peter, and upon this rock will I build my Church . . .' Could he not, then, strengthen the faith of the man to whom, acting on his own authority, he gave the kingdom, whom he called the rock, thereby declaring him to be the foundation of the Church [Matt. 16:18]?" (The Faith 4:5 [A.D. 379]).

18 *I also tell you this: YOU ARE KEFA,” [which means ‘Rock,’] “and on this rock I will build my Community, and the gates of Sh’ol will NOT overcome it.*
19 *I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever YOU prohibit on earth will be prohibited in heaven, and whatever YOU permit on earth will be permitted in heaven* .” *THE JEWISH BIBLE* www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matt.16&version=CJB
Thus Christ giving Peter the power to bind and loosen in all matters of faith and morals, despite the haters of authority.
Moreover, In Acts 15 the Jewish Apostles in union with Simon Peter condemned anyone who would use and abuse Christ's gospel to preach Moses, as the Adventists do. In Acts 15, all the *JEWISH APOSTLES, by the mouth of the Holy Spirit* freed all Gentile Christians from any obligation to live in any manner after the manner taught by Moses and are NOW CONDEMNED. They who preach Sabbath keeping *don't keep the Sabbath themselves!!!!****
Thus, Christ named Simon Peter, "Rock" and gave to Peter, the power to bind and loosen in Christ's visible absence. To show you how desperate and angry the Sabbath keepers have become at Christ and His Church, they have stooped to calling Christians Satan and Sun Worshipers, just like the venomous Sabbath keepers of Christ's time. And, now they baptize and RE-baptize Christians using Christ's name to baptize them into MOSES. *1Corinthians 10:2*
The SDA has become the home of every mean and hateful bird. Then, they tell the world how holy they are and how they never sin but keep the Sabbath and the Ten Commandments. What hypocrisy. Small wonder they don't believe in Eternal punishment.
After Christ declares that Simon is the Rock, upon which He will build His Church, Christ knowing the tactics of Satan, puts to open shame the mouths of the heretics, with this promise , that *"The Gates of Hell shall NOT prevail over the Church"* as the heretics would claim!!! Then Christ further gives to Peter the power to bind and loosen for Christ, in His visible absence, with the promise Christ Himself would guarantee the words of Peter are bound in Heaven! (Mt.16:16-19)
Christ commanded His Church to be Catholic, saying "Go and preach the gospel in to all the world and make disciples of ALL NATIONS! (Mt. 28:) And, that is what the Church did as He commanded them. *Christ is the head of the Church- Christ Himself instituted the Church (Eph.**1:22**) making Himself the head of the Catholic Church until He Comes Again* And, once more Christ says, to Peter and the Apostles, "Lo, I am with you even unto the end of the world", (Mt. 28) vowing He would never leave or forsake the Church, *putting to shame the voices of the heretics and the false prophets.*Christ said these things to no other Church, than the Catholic Church. And, lastly the Apostle Paul by the mouth of the Holy Spirit wrote to the Church of Rome in his Epistle called Romans these crushing words to all the haters of the Church of Rome: *The God of Peace will crush Satan under the Church of Rome's Feet* ” Rom.16 vs 20!!

Once saved always saved Is easily debunked just through the words of Jesus.
Baptist don't believe in freewill. They say they do but they change the definition to make it fit their beliefs.
Basically TULIP is false teaching that is present in EVERY Baptist Church. It doesn't take much to actually look and see that.
I was saved in an Assembly of God church. I'm grateful for that. But after going to ministry school amd studying the Bible seeking truth i found that they too are incorrect in some of their teachings.
But you cannot and will not see the errors until you seek the Truth as it is and for what it is. That means you have to put your own ideas amd thoughts aside and look at it without bias. THATS THE HARDEST THING YOU WILL EVER DO IS ADMIT THAT YOU ARE OR MAYBE WRONG. But if you wa t to see the truth then you hace to humble yourself to do so. And that's exactly why there is so many different denominations because few are willing to do that. It's easier to accept what is taught behind the pulpit without question.
I would encourage you to seek the Truth for yourself.

Also, the Southern Baptist Convention is not filled with "autonomous" churches, they are all a part of the same structure. The missions giving goes to the convention and they divide it as they see fit to the missionaries. Independent Baptist churches send their congregations' financial support directly to the missionaries of their choosing.

1:52 it is important to note the separation of church and state issue was most relevant and important at the founding of the US as a nation of states. In other countries there were state authorized churches. England had the Church of England, the German states had the Lutheran church, then several countries only recognized the Roman Catholic Church such as France, Spain, Switzerland, etc.
Baptist ministers sent Jefferson letters regarding their concerns about a “state church.” No one would be obligated to attend a state church but if there was one, history said there would only be one denomination. You wouldn’t have Catholics, Methodists, Baptists and Lutherans, etc.

21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

My mother (born 1911) was raised as a Baptiste because they were the only group doing services in English where she grew up & her parents wanted their children to speak good English.

You clearly need to read a history book. There are catholic church records that talk about Baptists from the 1200s and other sources older than that.

    A few points of reference.
SBC Baptists do not celebrate communion often, but relegate it to once or twice a year, if at all.

Baptist didn't come out of the Protestant reformation. In our history, we were actually persecuted by the Catholics and Protestants.
Side note: a reformed Baptist is considered an oxymoron by many within the Baptist faith.

That is a Calvinistic way of thinking. I would rather choose to look at it a different way. In 1 Cor 10:23 Paul says that all things are lawful, but not beneficial. What he means by that is that only in Christ do we have salvation and receive a continual cleansing of sin or have our sins washed away. So, yes, I can do all things or sin and remain saved in Christ, but there are earthly consequences such as jail, AIDS, divorced, depression and so on as a result of that liberty in a negative way. I’m remain 100% saved by being in Christ as he is the only acceptable sacrifice and God doesn’t grade on a curve. But I also have to look at the different soils of Mt 13 and make sure that I’m the good soil that produces fruit and not be deceived into thinking I’m the good soil, when I’m really the soil where the crop started growing, but was taken over by the weeds or cares of this world. They were the ones who looked like and quacked like a duck, but were really a goose. If we didn’t have free will, then the scripture wouldn’t say, if you continue in these things. The people of the good soil do continue, but again have continual cleansing as they are in Christ.

I’m baptist from the Philippines. Fundamental to be exact. Ive talked to some dude from america who is from independent fundamental baptist church. May i know if their beliefs are so different? Like i told mu story about i was rasied in an arminian household so basically mu local church is arminian. But recently ive become calvinist. From there he began belittling my beliefs. He told how wrong i was etc. telling me that his beliefs is right etc. is that what is being preached in baptist churches there? I know we are fallible and theology does not really matter as long as Jesus is the center of our beliefs. When i told him that, he is still downgrading what i believe.

Since the SBC is so large and influential, the other Baptist churches are almost always left out, or not mentioned at all. Many think that the SBC equals all Baptists because of this fact. It would be instructive to make additional videos about the remaining Baptist churches. ❤

    A few thoughts -
    1. The split was more about the Northern baptists being confessional while the South wasn’t. Slavery is once again misused as the reason for something.
    2. Ordinance and Sacrament meant the same thing in 1689….it is the modernists who have changed the meaning of the word by not understanding its etymology.
    3. Grace isn’t confined to justification. Therefore, grace is absolutely a part of both baptism and communion.
    4. This is a Good overview video for beginners

    Northern Euro Lutheran Here.
May our lord Jesus Christ be with you in the new year. We live in a strange world right now, and the false gospel teaching salvation based off works is spreading on the internet. I pray our Heavenly Father will bless you and keep you, and that a new revival will start in the US just like God has plans for a revival here in Europe.
May his grace, his goodness and his kingdom fall upon you all.

I'm currently attending in a southern baptist church. But also through this religion. It teached me that no religion can save you but only through Jesus Christ alone..From that day on whenever someone asks my religion i just say I'm a follower of Jesus Christ, not a baptist, born again christian, catholic, etc..

Not a very good attempt. Show me in the first century WHO led the Baptist denomination. Show me the interrelationship to the early church since they were obviously outside. Then take me to the second century and show the leadership, and location of this denomination/. Third century right until the 17th century when it really began. Then explain why no secular (unbiased) historical source ever heard of your denomination until the 17th century. Or, admit the lie.

    • @duradim1
      @duradim1 Місяць тому

@@bridgefin our relationship with God is built on faith on what He has revealed. Do we agree on that first and foremost? Over time, God revealed more about Jesus that others may have not known at an earlier time. Do we agree on that? There were no denominations from the beginning except one, the denomination of Faith, that is faith in God's revelation to mankind. Along the way man started to add extra's to God's Word and that is where the denominations came into being.
You will never convince me that that everyone believed those lies when they were first told. They were rejected by many who were slaughtered because they refused to believe those same lies. So I don't need to prove anything to you or anyone else. The Baptist didn't call themselves Baptist, the corrupted church (the second denomination) did. And for the most part, Baptist and others called by different names are nothing more than people who believe in the authority of scripture and the finished work of Christ who paid for the sins of mankind on that cross 2,000 years ago. That is the point I'm trying to make.
