Have you ever had any bad reactions to taking people’s photos on the street? Id love to do some candid street photography but I’m a little intimidated of taking photos without someone’s permission 😅
Not sure where you’re located, but here in the states public photography is a first amendment protected activity and that includes taking people of random people. There is no expectation of privacy in public.
@@the_bencredible Of course, but, if someone has a bad day or character, nothing stops him from trying to hurt you or your camera. Of course, you can call the cops. But, imho it's not worth the confrontation. I just take the picture and afterward ask if they mind. Just one time someone asked me to delete the picture, because, he lied at work that he was sick hahah. As a decent human being, I complied. Most of the time they ask for my social media.
Hey Curtis, love your content and very helpful in starting my journey in photography!!! I have the a6400 and the 50/1.8 lens, my question for you is, what lens filter do you reccomend? I'm primarily shooting weightlifting inside the gym and street photography. I live in Las Vegas, NV if that helps any with suggestions. Thanks for your time and look forward to seeing more of your stuff!!! ~Jay
Awesome video! Love the nifty 50! Can you make a video on how to change focus points quickly and when to do it for certain situations for new photographers like myself please (i own the a7iv) 😁
I had a little bit of regret at first buying this, but it's literally become one of my favorite lenses and it was sooo cheap in comparison to everything else surrounding it.
wow amazing. you are from manchester . same here. just bought sony a7iii + 11mm & 50mm lenses . fancy meeting up one day for some shooting? all the best . Peter
@@CurtisPadley no problem pal, keep up the awesome content. Had chance to finally shoot with the 50mm, loved it, made the Austin healey I was shooting look 👌🏻
Smooth POV and pics, Curtis. Reflections and feet images my fav. Ever shoot Auto-ISO? How about a vid/POV using auto-ISO? BTW, cheeky of you to horn in on your friend’s model. Did you get a model release from her (or a date😊)? Cheers!
Great video Curtis, I always seem to miss you when you’re in Manchester, or I’m in another part of the City. I was on a Group Meet Up on Sunday but we were around Deansgate/Castlefield area
I had this lens as my first pick up when I got my A7RII, got rid of it as I wasn't a huge fan of it at the time. I guess it comes down to what I was shooting at the time though too
Great video,as always🔥 But can you make a video how you edit your videos, the workflow, lil tutorial and how to add those photos in post?im struggling a lil bit to be honest😅 Greetings from austria🇦🇹
Curtis, can you show what preset you used for what shot? I've bought your preset pack and would like to see which of your presets you used for what shot.
Ayyy thanks for grabbing the presets dude hope you are enjoying them so far! I'm avoiding doing that at the current time as I'm working on a new preset pack, some of which have also been used in the video! 🤙
It also has to do with the edits to. If your into adding yellow tones and organges in your edits then you might just want to wait for the sun to poke on through, but if your into pastel colors or B&W overcast is perfect.
Hi Curtis 🙋🏼♂️ can u tell me please, which camera do you use for your POV? If it is a GoPro, which settings have u set for this? Very nice Videos all the time 🤗👍🏻
Who wants to see more 50mm povs? 🤔
I'm starting with photography and have the same lens so definitely :D
Yes
In video please ♥🔥
How can I give like to every photo!?. Nice video !
Yesss

I have this lens, ❤, refreshing to see an affordable lens video instead of the newly released 50mm! Great photos 😊
It's a cracking little lens right! ⚡

I’ll second that
What a times that beginners have a7iv
I would suggest looking up on UA-cam how to set up auto focus on your camera settings I looked on UA-cam best settings for my camera and I found it👍
I had a little bit of regret at first buying this, but it's literally become one of my favorite lenses and it was sooo cheap in comparison to everything else surrounding it.
Can you try the 35mm f2.8 pancake lens full frame rokinnon?
7:06 was banger even though you snapped it so fast. Looked posed. Dude could use that as his linkedin profile pic 🤣
Hey Curtis after watching this video last night I pulled the trigger and got the nifty for my A7RV got to love it. Thanks.
wow amazing. you are from manchester . same here. just bought sony a7iii + 11mm & 50mm lenses . fancy meeting up one day for some shooting? all the best . Peter
love how you shoot very quick,i can't see from the video but what mode of autofocus you are using? the shoots are spectacular!!!
I second that. I’m still working out focus settings myself. Moved over from Fuji. Focus settings feel very different.
hi, mate maybe you could show your settings in cameras, e.g. 6400 and A7IV? greetings
All the photo settings are next to each image and all the photos for this pov are taken with A7IV, it's in the title, hope that helps! 🙏
Bought one brand new for $186 usd
that opening lens flipping is not needed. and a lot of UA-camrs do this. are they flexing they got too many money to care?
What you don't see is below frame I have a bean bag so I do mess up it won't get damaged. Cause I don't have spare cash to drop a camera 😂
Heyy Curtis, hope you had great day in Manc & was nice to meet you during my spiderman esq shoot with Fiona
Great to meet you dude! ⚡
Do u ask for permission before taking anybody’s photographs 😊
Amazing video like the quality of the 50 mm I just got it for my a7iii.. but I have to say the model she’s very beautiful
Not often you click a UA-cam video and as soon as it starts you're like "shit, that's where I live!" 😂 great shots mate
I own this lens... on an APSC without OSS. Noobie mistake, got a 35mm for my 6400 afterwards.
BUT I still got some nice shots with the 50mm.
Can you compare this on newer vs older cameras on running subjects? Is it much slower than the kit lens?
How important is IBIS? In the market for my first camera and can’t really decide between a6000/a6400 and a6600

Another great POV pal, I've just got myself this lens. Loved your enthusiasm in this video
Ayyy big thanks as always dude! 🤙

Every-time I watch your video’s, I feel like leaving everything on side and go take some picture 🫣
Curtis, how do you know when to adjust your ISO and where to adjust it to??
The lady on the phone near the end 😂

Ayyy thanks Paul! Everything was shot in manual, prefer to be in full control of the camera settings! 👌
Nooo they were cool with it! 🤙
NICE

Do you offer any coaching at all. ?
Streetphotography just doesn't work in overcast weather...
Street photography works in any conditions. If you know what to look for.
It also has to do with the edits to. If your into adding yellow tones and organges in your edits then you might just want to wait for the sun to poke on through, but if your into pastel colors or B&W overcast is perfect.
Awesome video I love my 50mm and deffo wouldn't be without it also huge thanks for the shout in the #cpphotos section👌🏻
It's a cracking little lens right! ⚡ Great to see your work on the # 🤙

I'm using gopro hero 11 now, hero 8 before ✌️ In my next upcoming video I what videos setting I use! 🤙
@@CurtisPadley thanks a lot, Curtis

How did you go into crop mode at 7:34? I keep getting denied when going into zoom when shooting in RAW.
Just assign a custom button so you can get in and out on the go.
Was looking at this just and hour ago, and then I get this video. A sign?
It's a sign for sure! 🤘
How did you edit the photos?
💜👍💜👍
Me!
What about the OSS version, would that not be better?
It depends on your budget as this lens is still cheaper 😃
his camera has build in OSS
@@gheist8790 double OSS? haha
Greeting from Greece dude
Hello there! 🤙
Your pov videos bring me joy
Ayyy legend thanks dude! 🤙
Phenomenal..you take 10 shots while Im still thinking about it !!😂
I find it rude to take of other people without their consent, did you ever get into any issues when you were shooting on streets?
It is perfectly legal to do. People are on camera all the time with the amount of cctv around. No difference.
