To confirm, nothing wrong with climate control unit, and the issue requiring action is replacement of the AC compressor?

Yes the compressor was shorted and kept blowing the fuse

I just diagnosed it for the dealer that sent it to me, but yes the fix would be to replace the compressor, I'm not sure if a clutch would be available for that model.
