Sadel nice video as always .I always wonder to eliminate module from waking one another . Do you depin the can high and low wires to be 100% sure . So basically module just getting power and ground . It's like eliminating all the input to the module . Like in this case , for example ,maybe a faulty wheel speed sensor is back feeding the abs unit and cause the abs unit to stay awake and causing the draw. Or another control unit that talks to the abs is keeping the abs unit awake . Thanks .

Hi, thanks a lot for your video. I'm struggling with a 2016 f10 520i that had no headlights. I bought some headlights from a 2013 f10, but the Launch and ISTA scanner show that there is no communication with the modules. It's like both modules are completely disconnected. Only the halogen bulbs turn on, but there is no change of lights or turn signals. I checked the fuses and everything is fine. I'll see if the fuses for the IVM module are fine. Did you finally buy new original BMW modules to solve the problem? The lamps I bought are like new, and the modules are original and like new, but they have the information from the donor car. Can you give me an idea of ​​the reason why ISTA shows both modules in red? Thank you very much.

Alternator and battery did the trick

I usually offer my client this same option of creating a whole new circuit and it always works just fine; I do add a few diodes just to further protect the oem circuit and an in-line fuse. Great video, thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much for this video. I bought a 2019 CLA two weeks ago and it started jerking really bad. I took it to my local MB dealership and they said my rear differential needs replaced. We're just waiting on the adjuster to go look at it. Now, I'm wondering if I could just replace the oil in it to get it pressurized again to possibly fix the problem. It's only got 63,000 miles with a clean carfax and regular service records. It has been a mess.. thanks again!

In a process of diagnosing similar problem, which also came from a body shop, where somebody attempted to do everything, beside the car being a piece of 'work'. Thank you for such a great work on research and diagnostics and making it available.

How do you know what type of injectors you have with out pulling them out?

I am a advocate for repair > clone > replace used > replace new. Not much difference in used components vrs new components.

Hi, it’s been a while, but how did you remove the ‘PROM’

Good advice. Couldn't you virginize one of the ecus and then do the oem programming? Looks like both ecus were ok hardware wise.

Before the FRM You need to check the communication network, which is the getaway module that is responsible for all the communication, and translate it to other modules. If the ECU does not see it, let's means the getaway module does not read it.

Would regular reprogramming with SPS fix that issue? It seems like the software just got corrupted.

Honestly the best video I've seen in a long time! Your step by step investigation is priceless mate. I have a 08' 130i fan not running. Car is overheating. Was getting a thermostat error so changed that and the water pump and temp sensor - no change to overheating. Fuses are fine. Noticed the fan not running even with air-con on. Changed the fan - still not coming on. I don't have the kit you do to test the pulse, nor access to the wiring diagram but you have pointed me in a new direction which I really appreciate. Two questions: Can I use a basic multi meter to test the pulse wire? and was the battery discounted while you did all this? Many thanks! J

So I have a 2011 Cayenne (92A) to do. Reading the autel coverage list it states add key and even all keys lost can be done via obd. Curious as I want to do it right. Why did you not try it obd?

Mercedes differential has design flaw on saving a few parts. Tapered roller bearing needs a nut and lock pin to adjust the spacing between the rollers and the cup. Mercedes uses C ring to retain the cup. It has room to make off center on the axial to caused noise and jerks.

Hey man i'm having this same issue, on bank 2, air mass 2 plausibility: Air mass too low....i recently replaced all of the following: injectors / vanos solenoids / hpfps / CAM position sensor + before than i did new plugs / coils / mafs / 02 sensors (all 4) on my 2014 550i n63tu. Car runs strong, but i get the check engine light with the previously mentioned error. do you think this can be a wiring issue?
