- The US road trip vacation with a broken and tired BMW E46 M3 continues. We drive from LA to paradise on earth, Santa Barbara, where we do more work on the car and explore this beautiful city. Following up with one of the most beautiful roads in the world: Pacific Coast Highway (Route 1), all the way up to San Francisco where we meet up with the nicest madman that is Jason Cammisa. We wrench on the M3 together, goof around with his silly cars, and I somehow end up working on the E46 in front of a live audience!

This has been by far the best project ever, not because of the repairs or the car itself, but because of the scenery and the sense of community, solidarity, and spontaneity. It was really nice to see all that people helping Sreten and interacting with him, especially Cammisa that is always hilarious.
Sense of community?! I didn't see them helping out on any of the homeless peeps in SF? there is plenty. He as 300K + subscribers, the so called "community" and "bimmerworld" is helping out because of that sub fact. His work here is top quality and i'm not bashing on the guy. But the truth needs to be told. When ur making $30K a month on youTube and have 300K subs, you find that a lot of peeps want to be ur buddy lol

Loved the format of the series and seeing the road trip, very scenic! The part 3 driving in cars bit with Jason probably dragged on a bit for my tastes but man what a character!
I've literally watched every single video you ever dropped, but something about this America trip felt special. Loved every second of it, even just the candid walking around, hitting 7-11and just being a normal person.

I remember very vividly growing up in Spain and one my dad brought a 330Ci Coupe in Mystic Blau. Some of the best memories of my life at that time, BMWs suit these amazing hot climates so so well! Credit to your girlfriend for allowing you on junkyard shenanigans while on holiday 😉

About 6 months ago I came within a millimeter of buying a Beat, now I regret no pulling the trigger. Thanks! I don't know when I've had so much fun watching somebody else's vacation video.

I am from the USA. In the 1980’s I lived in Germany in the military. My Mom is from Germany so I got to see lots of her side of our family. Those cars in Jason’s collection were like trip down memory lane. My Uncle Hego in Mainz-Laubenheim had that exact Scirocco. We would drive that along the Rhine on Highway 9 and up into hills and vineyards in the area. I house sat for a cousin there who had that exact 190E Mercedes 2.3-16. I LOVED to drive that car, especially on the Autobahns around Frankfurt. Thank you for the wonderful trip down memory lane.
What a finale! My jaw is aching from all the smiling. Jason is one of those naturally funny guys (and nice guys) who just make life that little bit more interesting.
This was an absolutely spectacular of a series, loved every moment! It's a real treat to see them next to the "regularly spectacular" wrenching videos in the Dojo. :) Will rewatch a few times before the next series project.
I lived in LA for 25 years and never really took Pacific Coast Highway to San Francisco. Until I had moved away to Dallas.
I rode my motorcycle back to LA, and decided to take PCH up to the bay area. OMG. What a beautiful, soul affirming ride. I'm going again. Sometime. Incredible drive/ ride.

Aftermarket headunits in nice cars will forever be a mystery to me. They often have special sound tuning to get the best out of the speakers that came with the vehicle, based on the exact positions that they are in. No amount of Walmart watts can replace that.
Not on the E46, all OEM stereos sound like shit.
Not true. Almost everytime oem headunits are cheapeat garbage. Good aftermarket headunit and good sound tuning will unlock you full potential and better sound from shitty oem systems.
Probably true for a Walmart unit. Definitely NOT TRUE for a good head unit from a good brand. Also the same goes for Walmart special of the day speakers vs. high end aftermarket speakers. An aftermarket high end head unit and amplifiers, with high end speakers (including a properly tuned sub) can sound almost as good as a high end stereo at home. There is NO factory car system that can even come close (at least in any car that I could afford). The high end system will need to be tuned as well, but the end result can be quite remarkable. If people only want to by a low buck "boom and tizz" system, they can do that at Walmart. You get what you pay for. If you are looking to get a much better than stock system, that too is emminently possible, just not at Walmart prices.
I think Stretten played a little bit to the camera on this one. He didn't have to destroy the aftermarket head unit; he could have just left it on the curb, and somebody would have picked it up and used it or sold it. All he did was smash a working head unit for what reason? To prove that BMW's head unit is superior? Here's a clue, it probably wasn't. Mainstream car manufacturers don't buy high end head units to put into their cars, they buy the cheapest radios they can because they are counting pennies. Every penny saved is a penny more in profit. I can understand that the factory head unit integrated better into the M3's dash, but other than that, it is an open question as to which is the better head unit.
Not really most standard car stereos are awful and low powered even putting a midrange aftermarket stereo in you can improve the quality of the sound
I loved this roadtrip series! So much fun. And this last episode with Jason Cammisa was just EPIC! You two together is pure Gold.

Absolutely LOVED watching this series. So great to see you out having fun with friends in the cars... thats what its all about at the end of the day! One thing that came out of this, was the guy who said he so appreciated your tips that helped when he works on his own car, so perhaps something to try to focus on in each episode (this was also what made the original Wheeler Dealers series with Edd China such a success). Keep it up !
