- I'm planing a slab that was cut at 3.5"x45"x10'+. It takes a little over a hour on this one so I did most of the planing in FF to shorten it for y'all. Hope you enjoy what you're seeing. This is a great time to subscribe.
Looks good. The winch idea worked good. Thanks for sharing.
Work smarter not harder
I'm thinking on something like this. I use a router table for this. Takes forever. I might have split that raised edge with the other side.
Good show man.
Hi papa Jake!!!
Hey Sawyer
Nice job demoing the Slab-Mizer. Slab turned out looking great.
Your product makes me look good.
That's a fine piece of equipment
Very cool piece of equipment buddy
Thanks
Awesome job Jake. Good looking slab. Love the way the slab mizer is working!... And man that is a smooth camera mount
Thanks. I'm always looking for the best angle.
Great demo. Well thought out and choreographed. thanks
Thank you Sir
Very nice
That was some great looking grain, should really stand out with a nice finish on it. I'm used to finding ways to do things by myself also, there's almost nothing that can't be figured out one way or the other.
Out of necessity
Nice work! Do you ever use the WM sanding disk?
I've only used it once. I wasn't to impressed with it but that is probably due to lack of experience.
Another great video! Thanks
I am glad you sped up the process. What was actual time approximately to complete job?
Thank you Sir. It took a little over a hour.
nice job! what kind of power do you use? 1ph or 3ph?
I have both. The Slabmizer is a single ph. machine. The planers in the background is 3ph.
Thanks for this great video. Does your slabmizer have auto feed? 56 inch width? How effective is the sanding head ?
No auto feed. 72 inch width 18 ft long. Only used the sanding disk twice. Not up to speed with it yet.
@@customsawyer2526 Just viewed this again, how much time did it take to complete surfacing that slab?
@@olddodger7178 That one took about 1 hour due to the length. Most in the 35" to 40" width 10' to 12' long take about 45 min. to get both sides. Wider or longer adds time per side. If the wood starts to move on you and have to flip it multiple times it will add time to the process.
👍🇺🇸
What dust collector are you using?
On the Slabmizer I'm just using a cheap small one from Harbor Freight.
Is that white oak?
That is red oak. It was a older log when I sawed it.
