When I was about 7 or 8 my great grandmother taught me and some cousins how to build a temp shelter in the woods. The family story was when she was little her little brother 5 years old got lost and almost died because he was exposed to cold weather and kept moving instead of sitting in one spot for them to find him ! So she taught all her kids and their kids and their kids to build a shelter lol. We just found long branches and stood them leaning against a tree. Then shorter sticks laying long ways on the big sticks. Finally put all the leaves you can on all the frame crawl inside and SIT YOUR LITTLE BUTT DOWN until we find you lol! She would’ve loved to see your creation ! Before anyone asks I did teach my kids how to build it also ! After we were grown we realized that the biggest part of building the shelter was to keep us in one spot so the family could find us lol but we just thought it was fun ! Nobody ever got lost either rofl !

Sadly, there's less and less forest in which to truly get lost in these days. Did your kids think you were a little crazy, teaching them wilderness survival skills in our urban jungles? or are you still blessed to live near nature???
We are VERY lucky to live where nature is still natural. There are critters living here they learned to leave alone lol. We also have thick piney woods with pine straw is so deep it muffles sound and doesn’t leave a good trail. Yes they got a kick out of making those shelters and even competed to make the best one lol. They also learned if you look up and suddenly don’t know where you are the other teaching kicks in. Sit your little butt down and yell for help !!!!! Make your little hut and don’t keep wandering around getting more and more lost !!!!

You are correct he is a creative liar. You can never lift properly around 2000lb of mud like that!! Edited to say approx. 6000 lbs, by RAMIZ own admission in a number of replies!!
Love this!!!!!. It's takes, vision, persistence, stamina, determination, knowledge of nature and willingness. The right tools and supplies.... Just WOW!!!!
Reminds me of the orapendulo birds I saw in Costa Rica. They make a nest that hangs from a tree branch way up off the ground, weaved out of grass and vines. They're fairly large burds so the hanging nests are probably 2 feet long and maybe 6-8 inches around. So I would call your hanging fort the Orapendulasium 😂.
I keep thinking back to an old Far Side cartoon of two polar bears. One has an arm stuffed to his shoulder inside an igloo and tells the other, " These are great! Crunchy on the outside and chewy in the middle."
My mouth was open for so much of this video, and I'm still absolutely amazed! That pod must weigh A LOT! The ascent up the tree was something extraordinary, but creating the globe pod and living in there, safe from hungry wild animals is something else. I think you've raised the bar up extraordinarily high, and it's going to take a fantastic effort by any wilderness UA-camr to beat this one! I take my hat off to you Ramiz!!!
This provides more protection from a bear than does a tent or sleeping bag does it not? Of course it does. And yet, could a bear tear through the walls? Given the frame, I would imagine the answer to be yes definitely but only with considerable effort and it would take quite some time and probably not worth it for the bear unless it was really really hungry. By the way, raising it up in the air makes it infinitely more safe and much less likely to be fucked with by anything. You're much more likely to be bitten by a snake or fire ants or army ants or scorpions or venomous spiders etc all depending upon where in the world obviously. How about wild boar? wolves? I'd much rather be in this pod than on the ground.
😱Damn! That’s freaking impressive! This guy definitely has some skills in survival creativity! That’s probably the best I’ve seen! Wow!👌😳👍Mad respect!🙏

Hands down the coolest and most creative shelter I have ever seen! Imagination, engineering and hard work...wow. Great dog too. Now I have to binge your videos. As far as the bear goes, I thought it was a gorilla lol
The ' bear ' actually resembled a person in a fleece blanket, or so it appeared. Nonetheless, the build of this shelter was possibly the most creative on UA-cam, and the finish colouration was the finishing touch. Overall superb, to say the least.
Not a bear! Most definitely sasquatch/yeti/wendigo/shy man, the ancient shapeshifting, dimension crossing travelers! They only show themselves to those rare individuals they deem worthy, Ramiz has earned their trust. ;-)
I did the same thing for an art project. Everyone laughed at me when I used a childs bow and arrow to string a line between the beams of a warehouse in my college. It took a few goes, but I was able to suspend a sphere from the ceiling using Birch branches. No wild animals, or bears in my country, but what a great project. Great work Sir.

This guy is absolutely AMAZNG! What I'd really like to know is exactly how long it took him to build the above-ground enclosure, from scratch...from start to finish...including gathering and preparing all the wood from the forest, etc. Of course, the video shows him putting it all together in stages, but not in real time...because that's the only way it could be presented in a 32 minute video. Kudos to Ramiz in the Wild!
Okay, I failed to see that information. That’s reasonable and understandable…given the amount of material and work needed to complete the above ground enclosure. Now I don’t feel TOO bad!
Just the part that you climbed up there and installed the mechanism is impressive. Dont think most people understand how high that is based on video footage alone
@@ramizinthewild I am a retired rope-access tech. and tree surgeon. I still climb for fun and some basic jobs. That was incredibly risky and very brave - I would have happily done that for you safely if I lived there. Well done _Sir!_
U are very creative, I couldn't believe all room u have when u were sleeping along with your dog 🐕. It's soooooo nice to have company that u don't always have to speak English to. A look, a pat on the head or a slap on your hips and your dog comes running. So much unspoken love. Awesome
I love this video and what Ramiz wants to convey to us with this simple way of living in the middle of the forest with his noble dog , it means a lot to me
Your pretty dumb if you believe this. He said in a number of comments himself that this weights close to 3 tones ( tons ) that's approx. 6000 lbs. That much weight supported by sticks is not going to happen! This is most likely just a round tent in the air.
Sir.......what can I say......this is definitely one of THE most impressive things that I have ever...EVER seen. Your resourcefulness and your knowledge of most everything that you need to know is clearly from the HIMALAYAS....just beyond the next level indeed. My words clearly can not do you, and your skillset in the woods (and probably in life in general) any justice. There is a very-very old saying...the more you know, the less you have to carry....well, although you do have some things, you clearly put these things to use on a level that is savant indeed. I'll just shut up now and take away the knowledge that there are some people in this world 🌎 whose knowledge of many things is CLEARLY beyond just functional, but rather phenomenally exceptional indeed. May you and your wonderful little canine companion be safe and be well always, sir, and may God continually bless you. 🤔
There was this documentary on PBS that use to air. It was about a guy who quite the rat race and moved up to the Alaskan wild. It use to show everything he did including building a log cabin from scratch. I say that in the fact that you present your content in the same way he did and I thank you for it!
Thank you very much, enjoy watching, this is just the beginning. There will be many more interesting adventures on my channel in different places of the world.😊
I haven’t seen your channel before but I clicked on it, thinking I wouldn’t watch the entire video. Then I was captivated, looking at the time left and stressing that it would end soon. What you did here is every boy’s dream! The craftsmanship involved with just natural materials (besides the wire and chain hoist), must have taken months! Incredible! The huge worthless axe added such great boyish humor to the whole thing. I laughed my ass off as you sharpened it. 😂 I couldn’t believe you actually painted the mud sphere with berries and water, but as a boy with lots of time, I probably would have done that too.😅 The whole thing was incredible to watch and it had such a fantasy element that made it fun. So very well done in every way. Just subscribed. Give your sweet pup a scratch behind the ears for me. You couldn’t have done it without him.
@@ramizinthewild , Thank you sir. I know the intent of the huge crazy axe was for entertainment purposes and not chopping wood, but that doesn’t make it “worthless” as I mentioned. As a weapon against a bear, you’ve got more reach and blade size to swing. A little hatchet by comparison, is nice for kindling but a bear would just take it away from you. So that humongous Viking-looking axe is what every boy would choose. I see the fun in your videos besides the excellent craftsmanship and can’t wait for more. Stay safe and keep that huge axe with you at all times. I guarantee nobody will mess with a guy carrying that thing.
So because he used dirt and grass to make his living area what happens when it rains and the rain hits that mud even though it might be hard it will still disintegrate where I live the ground gets really really hard like that the real hard play but as soon as it rains it softens right up

WOW!!! What creativity!!! This is a wonderful alternative to watching the destructive, depressing political news cycles!!! My brain is humming with creative juices and my heart is feeling tranquil... My breathing is slower and deeper.
The camera placement and editing of this video is quite remarkable. Note that there’s never a shot with a camera or tripod within sight. That took A LOT of planning and extra work to make that all happen. Well done sir! Your dog is a fine pooch! All the best. 💪
Nice work , I really like when your dog didn’t get excited and did not bark at the bear you were able to safely get out of range and hoist yourself up to safety. This is the only way I would stay in the woods. Thanks for sharing.
I’m not sure how strong the shelter is with all of the weight, but man I love the idea of using saplings and wire to build the globe in the field and the winch to raise and lower the shelter! Ingenious! Perhaps a fabric cover could be made ahead of time to cover the shelter. That would probably keep you cleaner and drier, lol. A small titanium or stainless steel wood stove would be an alternative feature.
@@marilyncarter-zz4vw Actually they do make wood stoves that can be carried in a backpack. The individual pieces ingeniously hold itself together with four long skinny bolts. The stove pipe is around a foot wide and eight feet long. It’s rolled length way into a stovepipe and held closed with metal wire. The stoves are fairly small, but they don’t need to be that large since the space you’re heating is small. 😊

Talk about living off the land! This man is incredibly resourceful and creative using nothing but the natural resources around him.
Yes, you are right, the earth gave us everything for survival.🙏
Reminds me of the orapendulo birds I saw in Costa Rica. They make a nest that hangs from a tree branch way up off the ground, weaved out of grass and vines. They're fairly large burds so the hanging nests are probably 2 feet long and maybe 6-8 inches around. So I would call your hanging fort the Orapendulasium 😂.
😂😅😅thanks enjoy watching.
watching your dog brings me so much joy! This shelter is probably the most unique that I've ever seen!
thank you, enjoy watching, there will be many different hut projects on my channel.😇
I keep thinking back to an old Far Side cartoon of two polar bears. One has an arm stuffed to his shoulder inside an igloo and tells the other, " These are great! Crunchy on the outside and chewy in the middle."
Look, a piñata!😅😅😅
My mouth was open for so much of this video, and I'm still absolutely amazed! That pod must weigh A LOT! The ascent up the tree was something extraordinary, but creating the globe pod and living in there, safe from hungry wild animals is something else. I think you've raised the bar up extraordinarily high, and it's going to take a fantastic effort by any wilderness UA-camr to beat this one! I take my hat off to you Ramiz!!!
Close your mouth, the whole thing is a fake. He's making fun of you, seeing how many people fall for it.
yeah the tree climb alone was pretty damned impressive
I think your safe enough without lifting it in the air
@@Eddielongan You mean sleep on the ground like 99.999999% of campers? What about the Samsqanch?

His explanation above says he did it in 17 days.
Okay, I failed to see that information. That’s reasonable and understandable…given the amount of material and work needed to complete the above ground enclosure. Now I don’t feel TOO bad!

😂 I couldn’t believe you actually painted the mud sphere with berries and water, but as a boy with lots of time, I probably would have done that too.😅
The whole thing was incredible to watch and it had such a fantasy element that made it fun. So very well done in every way.

@@ramizinthewild thanks for showing you feed your dog and cooking something for yourself. I knew you had to be eating after working so hard.👍

A small titanium or stainless steel wood stove would be an alternative feature.
good ideas, I will definitely try it too. Enjoy watching.
But a stove wouldn't fit in the back pack😃
@@marilyncarter-zz4vw
Actually they do make wood stoves that can be carried in a backpack. 😊
