Well I'm not at all an engineering expert. Im from Northern Ontario, and since I was a little girl right up to adulthood, I loved watching men in my family work. They knew how to handle heavy machinery, build their own homes and do the troubleshooting during the worst of weather. We are blessed and cursed with tremendous amounts of snow from the Lake Superior lake effect. It's a winter wonderland and beautiful, however, it is a usual part of our life for our one main Northern highway to be shut down or snowed in and need to be dug out. Keep in mind its not like the men just walk up to your home and start digging. They start digging themselves out, then dig along driveways, roads and eventually get to your house. The snow can fall and meet up to our rooftops. Not only could i never be able to lift it, but its dangerous. I still recall feeling the relief of hearing the shovels and the men talking and I would tell my little girl that they'll be at our door soon. I appreciate men and the work they do. I live the smell of wood being cut, or burned or sanded. We also have oter tradesmen in our family and one of my favourite things is visiting with my electrician brother as he works on his house. Anyway, I am not an expert but just watching this video helps me stop thinking about work and the serious world issues. It's actually peaceful and reassuring somehow. So thank you. 😊

All logs were harvested off our land & my Dad's horse, Queen, hauled them all out. My Dad almost lost a load of logs & Queen when they broke through the bog ice. Quick thinking saved our horse. I left NB 30 yrs ago for Alberta but the heart remembers! I love watching men do similar work my heroes did.
