I hate when you get to that point of not being able to sleep so you have no choice but to knock yourself out. I HAVE to take my sedatives when it gets that bad bc the pain of being awake is so bad that it's better to use it than not get any sleep. It's such a horrible cycle. I wish I could just sleep without the sedatives or sleeping pills. It's so hard to get out of the cycle.
In indian ayurveda also stated that sleep is necessary... but how can we apply that in current busy city life? Our employers want us to work for day n night... traveling in cities takes 3-4hrs... max sleep i can get is only 6 hrs and even if we get sleep itsalmost impossible to get continuous sleep due to stress!.
One of the best arguments made here is for the elimination of the archaic process of "daylight savings time", and for points well beyond an improved sleep cycle. It was primarily instituted in America to aid the agricultural industry and has been irrelevant now for decades. Unfortunately I believe it takes an act of congress to get rid of it, since that's how we got it to begin with, and congress more often than not doesn't know how to do things that benefit the majority of Americans (and/or don't care to).
