I have a 2019 Corolla HB. Watching this now because I had read you can not lock the fob in the car. Well I dropped my keys right in front of the DS seat and closed the door. Well lucky I was at home because I had to go get my other fob to get it out. Just removed the battery which reads 2.99 volts. Can you try dropping your fob on the floor just as I did? Thanks for the videos. Teaching me things that I missed in the textbook sized owners manual.
We don't recommend to ever lock your key fob inside the vehicle because if someone were to break into your vehicle they would have the key fob to start the car. If you absolutely need to lock your keys inside the vehicle, you can do so by using the spare key.

Can you lock the smart key inside using the Mechanical/Emergency key?
