Sometimes you can get a shark that's a little to curious for comfort, these sharks will bump you and/ or take a test bite, don't panic just try to get to shore as quickly as possible. Also you should educate yourself in what shark species that are known to be in the area, like for me it's usually bull & tiger sharks.

I was actually at this beach when all of these attacks happened. I live in Mebane nc, and every year, a huge group of people in my neighborhood go to the beach. It was about half way through our trip, and we were about 1 mile away from where the attack happened, and we're also in the water when it happened. we were actually very lucky because about 30 min after the attack was reported by the life guards on the beach, we had gone back into the water, but they had the flags up that mean don't go anywhere where the water is past your waist. when we got in the water, we had a close encounter, because the lifeguards had spotted a shark about 10 feet away from us, but we ran even though the water pulled us back, and got out before anything happened.
When ever I get hurt by something I always try to make the situation funny so if my hand got bitten of by something I would probably say “Can someone give me a hand here?”

If somebody got attacked by a shark and the shark has not been found at that beach, Dont go there 11. Dont swim at dusk, dawn or night time
There's a good chance it might be the same shark. Once a shark starts eating human flesh it actually needs to be hunted and killed because that shark now sees us as another food source. It may seem barbaric but it's a necessity
