  • In this video, I dive into my AC problems that have plagued me for a few years. Back in the playlist, I have an AC video that I thought I had it fixed.. low pressure switch replacement.. nope.. still getting the freeze up.
With Hotrod Power Tour 2023 days away, it needs to be fixed.. watch to find out!

Hey fellow, the low pressure switch for the ac is mounted on the accumulator, you consistently referred to the switch on the accumulator as the high pressure switch.

Never use anything but a/c flush solvent in the system , and shouldve replaced the accumulator , its $21

But why? That’s $21 bucks still in my pocket and a working ac system..?
I didn’t properly put a vacuum on it and let it sit for 3 hours, I didn’t charge it to the specs the sticker said.. 💁🏻‍♂️

Oh boy. I’d have to go back and look. Pretty sure it was off rock auto.

I'm sure you know by now, You have low side & high side confused (in video). The lines to the accumulator are low side (cold). Smaller lines below with leaking service valve is high side (hot). I just replaced mine yesterday & serviced my own ac with loaner tools from auto zone. Saved my self $170. Nice SS btw👍

Great job. Mine is also out. I need to replace a line. Might be next on the list. Just put a new throttle position sensor on mine. Might need a new cracshaft position sensor soon. Threw a code but I cleared it and no more light.

Thanks, seems like those lines run through a lot. My 9c1 did.
Glad your CEL was cleared. If you get in to do the sensor, share the info with me.. lol

There is a bag of moisture absorbing beads inside the accumulator , brake clean destroyed it

I hate to wish bad on you but I was hoping you had put a compressor on it. Mine is bad and the back screw is hard to get out. I can already tell by looking at it. Great video as usual thx

That was done intentionally by GM in an attempt to keep backyard mechanics from removing the compressor. It's tough but can be done.
