    I love the "pick and place" method! Works very well with busy images. ❤

      DonnaLouise named her technique pick and place. I use it on ones similar to this one. It’s one of those trust the process type tips. 😁

      it works because this is not a real puzzle, but rather many small puzzles that you can put together and collage at the end. with this "puzzle" you can even sort.... sort what exactly? so many colors and themes.

    Never had wonderful trays when I qas puzzling. Just poured all the oieces out of the box, flipped them over and pulled colors together as I randomly started a puzzle. I love Ravensbutger puzzles because of the fit, but that dust is really annoying. Love your enthusiasm. Very entertaining. ❤

      Thank you! The trays indeed level things up.

    I never sort. I do chaos puzzling. Dump all the pieces out and go for it. So much fun!

    Pick and place is certainly a trust the process type tip. 😊
    I’ve done loads of Ravensburger, they are always very good quality.

    Nice job! Looks like it would also be fun to do without the image. 99 mini puzzles - woot!

      Agree! That would certainly make it more challenging

    If you weren't sorting, then WHAT were those trays at the start for? The upper right had only blue/white, so those were chosen for a reason. 🤨

    • @jennyjigsaw
      @jennyjigsaw  2 місяці тому

      The plan was to sort, thus the trays. After I started putting it together, I put pieces I couldn’t find right away in the upper trays. Those were the “I’ll get to them later” pile

    Also, the "no sorting" really wouldn't matter with this puzzle since you have 99 INDIVIDUAL photographs to do instead of 1 overall image.

      Exactly! That’s why it worked for this puzzle and other ones that are square-y. Not a strategy that fits all puzzles, but that’s how it goes with strategies in general. It’s good to have a deep toolbelt.

    I've used the pick and place method quite frequently. I'm doing that now with my current puzzle, which is a 500 piece puzzle called The Old Steam Train (Corner Piece). Other times if there is a large area of one colour I get all those out and start with that. It's a case of looking at the image and deciding which method is going to work best. I shall be glued to my computer when Worlds starts in September. Are you going to watch at all?

    Try doing a 3,000 piece masterpieces jigsaw puzzle. The title is: let the good times roll. It has random cut dies BUT the piece shapes look like we know and love. The images you see look hard and they are not. It’s the image that makes you think its easy when it isn’t. I got that at hobby lobby in Auburn Maine last month. I paid $30 for this beautiful jigsaw puzzle. I don’t remember if I asked you this question: are you going to the world jigsaw puzzle championship this year? It sounds embarrassing as I type this from my iPad. Will the world championships be giving out Ravensburger jigsaw puzzles like they did last year? Happy puzzling to you and the possibility of going to the “you-know-where”

      Images can be tricky like that. I started a 3,000 piece puzzle once and gave up. It’s still in the cabinet, so I will be back for it one day. No I’m not going - I am but a lowly puzzle hobbyist 😝

    I just started doing a 1000 piece RoseArt brand puzzle, starting with the border pieces i'm finding multiple pieces that fit neatly into a single piece even though I have all the colors separated :s

    I’m not a fan of sorting either 😅 I usually just pull pieces straight from the box. After I pull out the edge pieces of course lol

    • @jennyjigsaw
      @jennyjigsaw  2 місяці тому

      Not even taking them out of the box - now that’s a shortcut!! 💡

    How about taking two puzzles, some brand and same number of pieces. Unbox both, and MIX all pieces together. Then do two puzzles at the same time !!! #puzzlechallenge

      Great idea! Agree that it’s gotta be the same brand. Too easy to tell otherwise!

    i usually do this, but with a twist, i have enough trays to put all pieces on, turn them over..then decide what part i am going to do, gather
    the pieces form the trays and go.
