My VR Game settings from 9:50 - My PC spec is 4090 with AMD 7800X3D
Wow the first video where the game doesn't look like it's running on PS2 resolution. Great job! Other people put TAA to Ultra because they got a 4090 so they put everything to Ultra without thinking, and leave upscaling on, then wonder why it looks so blurry-.- By the way I'm impressed with all these ingame VR settings.

My G2 started overheating after little over two years. Hope you have better luck.
@@perttipersereika4029 Touch wood. Mines been ok. I will have had mine 3 years this autumn. Order a Pimax Light as the G2 is not going to be supported. Shame great headset.

Thanks for sharing the settings, i was trying to run the game just from epic, and it was a nightmare, i just need to try the "fix" for the brightness screen, since it's unplayable from the quest 3 due to the whiteness on the outside of the car. I wanted to ask, if i'm the only one, since i have the screen far to my wheel, if anyone can see the mouse cursor with the vr on, i don't have any pov controls on my setup, and it's annoying that i have to remove the q3 and see at a distance which setting or screen i have to press to continue :(
Is it has a 3d depths? Like lense of left and rigth has a different image renderings or image camera locations?

Great video as always. Thanks! I'm wondering if it makes sense to invest in Quest 3 for PC VR. I have HP Reverb G2 and Meta Quest 2. Basically, I play all PC VR games on HP. Do you have experience with these goggle models and how they compare to each other? What would you advise? My PC Spec is 4090 and i5 13600K
Yes I have the Reverb G2 and Quest 3. The resolution are very similar however the FOV and edge to edge clarity is much better on the Quest 3. The controllers are much better on the Quest also. The drawbacks with the Quest is the lack of display port output (like the Quest 2) and increased power consumption. You will need a link cable that lets you add in extra power for longer PCVR sessions.
I went from the g2 to the quest 3 and think it’s a big upgrade to just not have to deal with the shitty g2 tracking and dog water WMR!

How to start it in VR? I have quest 3 and high end PC etc
I tried with my G2, 3080 and 5600X. Rather horrendous performance. DR2, AM2, AC, GT7 arevall fun, this was just horrible. Will focus on non-VR and maybe revisit if there are big changes
Virtual Desktop worked for me but the performance was way worse. The colours were way better though.
What is the benefit of using open xr versus just normal quest link?
If you mean OpenXR toolkit you gain access to more fixed foveated rendering settings and the CAS sharpening mode which makes things a little sharper. Other than that nothing much. For the moment I would disable OpenXR toolkit if you have it, as the game has a lot of VR settings and runs a lot more stable without it.

Hi Ham. I can't get open XR tool kit to work anymore (3d location reveal is off). It crashes at the start of a stage. I heard there was a registry hack to fix open xr crashes and I can't figure out what it is. Would you know what it is by any chance? I made a lot of progress yesterday with the visuals but I get the occasional stutter and dips under 90 fps. If I could get dfr going it might just give me that extra headroom that I need. I'll share my settings after (I also have a 4090) I figure this out as they are quite different then yours.
Found it but the bad news is that it disables Foveated rendering which is causing the crashes. Hopefully we get an update soon. I will still try it without dfr to see if I get extra frames.
What headset are you running, is it a Quest Pro? Your 4090 should run WRC fine as the resolution is slightly less than the Quest 3 I tested. Maybe double check you've got the the Oculus app set as the default OpenXR runtime and not SteamVR. XR-Picker is pretty handy if you have several different headsets and want to switch between OpenXR run times or check which one is active github.com/rpavlik/xr-picker
@@HamVR My settings are a lot higher then the ones you have in the video. I got open XR working again with the regedit hack to disable the DFR. I'm just too picky when it comes to this. I'm on the WRC discord trying all kinds of setting combination. Another week of trial and error and I will possibly be happy lol.
@simracingjunky9679 how do you do the regedit hack? I'm having issues where the toolkit works but only every now and then. It crashes most of the time basically
@@louiejenkins6369 I'm at work right now and I think I saved it on my home pc. I'll reply later. The regedit only disables Foveated rendering in Open XR and it stopped all open XR crashes for me.
Does anyone know how I can adjust the seat height in VR?
I think you can, but it's easy to recenter your view wherever. I move around and hit recenter until I'm where I want to be in the car. Like lower your head, hit recenter, then sit normal and you'll be higher in car. Recenter is mapped to my wheel.
I also map the recenter VR view to a button on my wheel (I cover this in settings in the live stream). Each car has a slightly different seating position anyway.
In the vr settings menu there is also a "head camera height" option
its a joke that in 2024 we need a 4090 to run a game in VR, a game that does look like 10 years old, lazy optimization, wrong unreal version, wrong engine overall perhaps
