F1 Monaco but it's before the circuit is set up

- Ever wondered what Monaco looks like when the F1 circuit is not there? Now it's possible with the Real Monaco free roam track mod for Assetto Corsa. It strangely feels familiar and unfamiliar at the same time.
This F1 2022 onboard lap is driven in Assetto Corsa with Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari F1-75 challenger.

I know Monaco is a crazy circuit but my god its even crazier seeing it being normal without the barriers being the normal streets
My mouth was open the whole time 😂
Makes you think f1 circuits are possible everywhere. All the crying when they plan a new track
God
Almost like Isle of Man
In my head I already crashed in 100 different manner at the first corner 😂
This map but with ai cars following traffic rules would be batshit insane
I see it now, it’s not a hard track, it’s a batshit insane track
If you know Targa Florio it's very similar to that, they race in the Sicilian Village of italy.
Batshit insane xD
@@phakada3787 Metal Gear Rising Revengence reference. Nice
New words aquired: batshit insane
Nice to see Charles already prepping for the race before the track was even set up!
Edit: This comment was made before the s🅱️inalla that happened at 1:29.
Traditions
The sbinnala is the part he's been practicing his whole career at Monaco
Bottas showing up "Traditions."
Lol. Jaja what a coincidence. I hope he redeems for himself on this one tho.
Lol, I though which spin? It was literally paused at 1:28
Charles spinning at the end was on point. 10/10.
My opinion it looks like classic Monaco with out the barriers
In my opinion i think you right
In my opinion this is just straight up classic monaco
In my opinion you could just remove the tunnel and replace the car with an old one from the 50's and boom you have classic Monaco (In my opinion that is)
@@rabbi4924 classic Monaco didn’t have the swimming pool section and tabac had a weird ramp
in my opinion the track is fucking the same since 1950's like no shit sherlock
Well that was terrifying. Great skill on display here. This is really cool to see!
...what?
Terrifying????? tf?
Keep those feelings away from our Motorsport. Sincerely, Motorsport Fans
What is this joke in reference to?
Great lap! from the graphics, the road , even the driving style of Charles Leclerc at the end of the lap is great realism!
No, it's really not. Quite terrible really.
@@Federico_Cahis it was a satire
*cough*...Checo...*cough*
I may have gone over the speed limit
Just a little bit fast
A very interesting appearance.
Though I still wonder if they would ever look at using new roads for the track.
"must be that boy charles"
That is about all the roads Monaco has . LoL.
Monaco is tiny. its 6 times smaller than Kensington and Chelsea in London. There isn't anywhere for them to go
It is not all the roads Monaco has, but they will never change it because of the historical factor
@@cooper3641 i’ve recently been to monaco and there’s not any other way the track could go
Let's hope that Leclerc will finally cross the finish line for the first time in his home Grand Prix.
@Damar Fadlan tokimeki doko
he did, but not in 1st place despite pole
Since the Monaco Grand Prix is right in front of Charles' home, running a lap is like taking a walk in his own home, so why did Charles still crash?🤣🤣
He just did it! And in 1st place at this time!
Good news buddy
i find it amazing how they can take a whole area of Monaco and turn it into a venue for an F1 race.. It just blows my mind tbh.. Seeing how it looks like without anything no barriers, no seating areas, no garages, no bridges, no cameras nothing months before the race.. Then again on race weekend when everything is setup with all the barriers, seating areas, garages, bridges, cameras everything... HUGE difference!
The fact that you actually know where to go is mind blowing.. Even when the track isn't race ready 😂
As if the track already isn't one of the hardest in a full cicuit set-up, this guy had to take it to another level... this was crazy as well as amazing!!
of course he only did one take for that video .......
Officer - Do you know how many felonies you just committed?
Driver - Yes.
I've been there a couple of times for the Rally Monte-Carlo, I can spot some more differences:
-There should be at least 1 Lambo and 2-3 Porsches parked in the main straight.
-Tons of more Porsches and Twizys scattered around the whole track, specially the harbor.
-People queuing at the front of Fairmont Hotel.
-More people waiting to enter some of the restaurants in the swimming pool complex. No kidding, they have some good Martinis and pizzas for a (more or less) reasonable price.
-Someone parking weirdly his/her Ferrari at La Rascasse, no Schumacher 2006 pun intended.
-Someone dying on the inside because they forgot there's no roaming in Monaco and just lost 200 euros for a 2 min clip.
what does no roaming mean?
@@yutiros5174 I can't remember the exact term, but I mean smartphone Internet like 4G or 5G. Using that in Monaco instead of WiFi will HURT in your pockets. Even in a relatively short period of time.
My dad went to Monaco a few years ago and did like 4 laps on a rented Fiat 500 like this.
Looks cool and dangerous in the same time! Wow!
people in 1929 were like: ''cool, lets go motor racing here''
That last corner would be actually better for the drivers to face the straight with more speed maybe a little bit chance to overtake in that point.
the main problem to overtake is getting close to the walls is more scary in real life than in sims
If they go in with more speed it makes it harder to overtake, on slower corners the braking zone is bigger making it easier
Gabriel Rodrigues I think he means overtaking at Saint Devote
Another issue would be entering the pit lane. If a car behind a pitting car doesn't pit, he'll crash into the back of them.
Is the crash at the end your prediction for the race weekend? Also thanks for adding the accurate brake telemetry
Poor charles
i am stupid
Thanks, I hate it
We're never gonna see Charles finish the race, are we?
@@Giors Hopefully the curse ends
As I recall there was a fatal crash in this sector once
Imagine forgot what way and ended up going to France instead
lol
Tour de France but using F1
@@assidiq178 that would be epic
@@assidiq178 they would fill up in a gas station, not pit lane 😂
@@razor_ramon_ brooo 💀💀💀
That is a truly awesome video
Thank you for that. I’m genuinely sat grinning from ear to ear in pure enjoyment
They should do this next year. Just start the grand prix without telling any of the civillians.
For those wondering about the lap time, it was around a 1:17.
Charles Leclerc and not finishing a single Monaco GP. Name a more iconic duo.
Charles and “I am stupid”
A07 PabloGD
WOW .. i'll never look at the Monaco GP the same way again, thanks for making this video.
This is so dangerous I absolutely f***ing love it
Ah man, this is just beautiful
Nice. They should leave it like this for next seasons race. Might make it worth watching! 😁
0:56 was a wow moment for me, even though ive watched the monaco gp before
I've been in Monaco once and I drove around the circuit with a rental car. It was an amazing and exciting feeling!
Also, you should have taken the roundabout of the casino going right instead of doing the racing line, but above all the lap was great!
Insane driving, NGL.
"no heroics into sainte devote please"
I see that Charles is trying to practice not to bin it at rascasse.
I think he’s going to win though
good video 😂
If crosses the checkered fpag, that would still be a win, but if he wins, oooh everyone will love that.
This was so fun to watch! Thanks!
The key is knowledge to the track, hah.
That's some dangerous parking man
Man that's so cool thanks for the awesome insight, I just subbed!!
It reminds of the old monaco with almost no barriers, like in the 60s or the 70s
I live in a town near monte carlo and mamma mia, this mod is done really really well, there is also the car parked badly at 0:19 😂
That's pure INSANITY !!! Instead of a guard rail, you have rows of parked cars and huge flowers pots waiting for you.
Thanks for putting this together! I've taken a look around on google maps street view and thought to myself "holy molyyyyyyyy look at all the shit they have to clear out!".
0:18 "u can park there sir" to the yellow Cayenne :D
0:40 greatest corner, is so satisfaying
Ah yes, the mandatory crash
1:29 ofc he had to do it at some point
Remember this is Charles in Monaco 🤣😔
"Oh my god! Is that Charles Leclerc getting a speeding ticket?"
Removing the barriers helps demonstrate even better than the races themselves the absolute lunacy of continuing to race in Monaco.
0:39 damn that moment before the tunnel's entering
that scared the fuck out of me going into Massenet XD
The detail in these graphics is incredible.
"Charles Leclerc learned to swim in that swimming pool"
Nice!! Also great impression of Leclerc at the end!
I love the realistic touch you put at the end with the spin out.
Was always intrigued what the circuit is like without all the barriers
"Box Box! the race hasn't started yet Charles!"
street circuits in 1950s be like
Sooooo, that person needs to create the actual F1 circuit as well now. That level of detail is sick.
Dangerously beautiful! Thank you
POV your watching this after watching the actual Monaco 2022
Imagine living in Monaco and not being an F1 fan 🤣
"Oh god they're having those bloody racing cars come here next week aren't they everything's going to be shut 🙄" 🤣🤣
Thank you for making this!!
Thank you for watching!
"no heroics into sainte devote" just got a new meaning
Yoooo, insane! From where do you have that outro?
Looks beautiful though, but very difficult to get over.
What a lap man.
Another brilliant video Mitsos. Keep going.
Thanks for the kind words man, appreciate it!
“OK cleared the hairpin and hotel WATCH THE PLANTS!!!!! 😨”
An actually creative F1 video that isn’t clickbait?? Is this real life?!
Gives a whole new meaning to no heroics into Ste-Dévote
"That was some dangerous parking man"
nice lap
This is Epic! What program is this?? And I Love there Soft Rascasse too!
"Charles, could you go buy some bread for dinner?"
Every policeman and patrol on this island easily sitting on their office and not always been busy doing outdoor duty 😂
Ah yes, the classic ending to any Monaco event xD
This is an endgame unlock for Leclerc when he wins the title.
Awesome Idea ! Please do Le Mans before the circuit is set-up !
That's some really impressive driving right there.
who tf just thought one day:
‘let’s race cars here’
Jeff would love this layout as there would truly be no heroics into Sainte Devote.
Congrats on 750K views in a week's time mate :)
awesome stuff mate!
impressive driving to not crash there
What many people propably dont know, that the Race Tracks geht's resurfaced before every Race Weekend, to smoothen it out and make it grippier
Same number of overtaking opportunities.
Casino Corner and Nouvelle Chicane are almost unrecognizable
Monaco is expanding in the port area so the land reclamation and apartment building is missing. But the new Casino Square is present so that is cool enough.
Backup entry into the swimming pool = 🕒
Now picture this only in 1970. There are over 25 photos I took driving this circuit. Then I got out at Gasometer hairpin and took a pic of Jack Brahbam's skid marks. This was a week after the greatest finish in Monaco GP history.
And in the end, he really made it look like it was Leclerc driving the ferrari
It's even crazier without barriers despite in some point the track is a bit broader. And I thought it will be a smooth lap but at the end... another inchident...
Oh i need this mod it looks awesome
I could nerver have imagined how much i needed to see this
After the crash,
Leclerc: I am stupid😂
I can imagine how high the person who thought "let's make a racetrack out of this" must've been
1:13 "and on the left you can see the hit markers I made with Lauda's Ferrari"
Just a casual day Leclerc drives his ferrari in his hometown
Now THIS would bring back position changes in Monaco
With all the spectacle of new cities getting street circuits, imagine proposing this track layout nowadays?
"Yeah so we're gonna go around that pole right there, make a right at that last bush, dash past the planter and then right across from the kiosk...
Not an F1 fan, will happily admit I've only sat and watched a handful of GPs, but I didn't realize Monaco ventured THAT close to the water. The chicane after the tunnel, is there really just a piece of Armco there stopping them from going in the drink?
I was thinking... imagine if the video shows him spinning out ... then the ending came LOL
