I'm in the camp of 'like' the Tempo Next%. Surprisingly I experience no squeaking sound at all (even quieter than the Next%) and also no problem with using it for an easy run. Yes, I really enjoy your videos and look forward to them actually. So keep on making them and your channel will explode in no time. Tq
@@FilipLatochaRunning however, I forgot to inform I actually just returned the Alphafly, 3 test-runs, 3 times I had to walked home. The medial arch is crazy narrow and the left side gave me sharp arch pain. If they could just make it fit like the Tempo, I will take this anytime over the Next% for the marathon distance.
@@livegreatalways Dang, sorry to hear. The Alphafly arch is definitely much more narrow than most racers I've owned. Perhaps they'll come out with an updated rendition that spreads out the arch in the future? I imagine this isn't an isolated incident.
Vaporfly has been a great shoe for me,and helped me run while recovering from a foot injury.Agree with the wear issue as the tread is starting to disintegrate, but I still bought another pair just for road races.Do also have a pair of the next%,and it does seem to be more durable than vaporfly, although I wouldn’t race to get another pair 👍
It sounds crazy what im about to say, but I feel like for me personally, the Tempo Next% is more of a secure (injury free) "super shoe" than the Vaporfly, because it is wider and has also a less squishy, wider midfoot and heel. And also a better option for me for a long run than an Alphafly. The longer I run in VFN or AFN, the higher the chance of putting too much stress on the ankles and knees due to my natural overpronation. I've run a HM race in the Tempos and absolutelly loved every second of it. I did look at the other runners VFN and AFN with a stinky jealous look, but in hintsight, I now know the Tempos are just absolutelly phenomenal for my running. (never run a full marathon, but I would think even more so to pick the Tempo over those 2 other super shoes, because they dont make me pronate as much.)
@@FilipLatochaRunning I remember watching your video where the airpods pop’d in two of your Tempos! That sure is frightening to me. Wish I didn’t sleep on buying shoes in 2020… miss the Peg Turbos. Simple and very loved/effective. Got myself a pair of Turbo Next Nature. I personaly like then so far. They do seem a bit nicer than the already great peg39. Would be awesome to see your take on it, maybe compared to Tempo, Turbo35, or turbo2. That’s something I haven’t seen yet online anywhere.
Hey man, want to try the Next%s, but since ive got some pain on the ball of the foot... do you think air pods on Tempo´s could help more than the Vapor´s sole? Not sure if that push of the air pods could make it more comfortable or put more pressure on it. Thanks!
Great question! I imagine it comes down to how painful the ball of your foot feels + how you’re landing with your foot. It’s possible that with the Tempo having “extra moving parts”, it could irritate the ball vs. a flat-foam shoe. In terms of the impact of foot-to-ground in the Tempos, the nylon plate seems to spread the impact fairly evenly across the midfoot, similarly to the Vaporfly. If the fear is that the pods will drill into the ball of your foot, I don’t suspect you’ll feel the pods like that. I’d definitely take a day or two off for a painful ball-of-foot, but when you do give it a go in the Tempo’s, please let me know how it feels!
@@FilipLatochaRunning interesting! Did not had that perspective about more moving parts principle... Btw, ball of foot injury is one of some im carrying from other sports thats why im looking more in the shoe than technique at this moment but im always trying to learn and evolve my technique tho. Thanks a lot. 🙌
If you're fortunate enough to have a Nike clearance store in your area, you will be able to get both the Tempo and Vaporfly 2 for less than the full price of a Vaporfly..
Hey man! I’m running a 21K race this weekend and I own a pair of Vaporflys and also a pair of tempo. Normally The vaporflys would be the obvious choice for the race but they are about 200 miles old. They don’t have significant damage as I’ve ran around 30% of those miles on a track/treadmill, but they are certainly not as new as the Tempo (around 60miles old). Which shoe would you recommend in this scenario? Thanks!
I think this is the only vid that compares these two, Thanks BRO!

Agreed on the easy run part! As long as you have a good run form to utilize the Tempos properly, they really do have a lot of versatility.

Not crazy at all, I agree that the Tempo NEXT% is a wonder. The lifespan is just a major issue.

yep im on the TEMPO camp for sure.
Is there any different between nike tempo run 2020 & 2021?
What about a 1.5 mile run? Would you recommend the Air Tempo?
Yes!
@@FilipLatochaRunning Thanks mate. I've just ordered mine, need to train up for my PT.
Just thinking about running the marathon in Tempo Next %'s makes me tired! Totally agree with your comments on the weight, great review as always 👏🏾
What would happen if you change the tempos material to a mesh material on the nike website?

4" in this video I believe.
Can you use the tempo next percent as a daily trainer?
Id also like to know that
You can but very bouncy for every day use!

The tempo
I'm waiting for them to restock the gray colorway in my size 🤧
Which shoes for faster 5k and also for in week 3 days training.money doesn't matter. . I need shoes for 5k in 20 minutes. Suggest me please
For someone who only run 30-40 minutes (5-7km) once or twice a week, which one is better.?
You'll probably have a better time in the Vaporfly NEXT% in this case.
is the tempo better then ultra boost
Ultra Boost is on my list to test out.
The life is also kind of miserable - 2020’s motto🤣
