Luxor is my favorite hotel in Vegas. I love its originality, how the rooms are located right on top of the casinos. I’ve stayed there many times, and I have also stayed at other hotels as well, more luxurious like Paris, Mandalay, ceasars etc… but Luxor is my fave. 🤣
Luxor gets a bad rap for being a bit too kitschy (even for Vegas) and catering to the more working-class family crowd. But I've always found it a solid choice when you just want to spend a few days in Vegas and don't feel like dropping a bundle on one of the luxury resorts. While nothing from the rooms to the buffet to the casino is the best in Vegas, nothing is terrible either, it's just a nice, reliable experience at a very reasonable price.
Totally Aaron! We have stayed there many times and maybe its the kid in me, but I think its cool to stay in the Pyramid, LOL! The last time we stayed I was really surprised at how nice and remodeled the Pyramid room was! Thanks for watching and sharing, we appreciate you! Alohas, Sebastian
Nice video, well done! Let’s face it, the Pyramid is totally cool. The location is a bit far down the strip, but the tram gives you a head start up the strip. The walkways make it easy to get to either Excalibur or Mandalay Bay. Tower rooms are nicer and newer but I think it’s way cooler to stay in the Pyramid. Diablo’s is a good and reasonably priced restaurant. I thought the buffet was decent and reasonably priced. I think the room price is one of the best values in Vegas. It’s the second lowest MGM priced property next to Excalibur, but the rooms are far nicer.
Luxor is awesome for a budget property. The location is awesome to me, because I go to Vegas mostly to relax, it's quiet, and i can always go to where the action is when I want to.
The Luxor is one of my favorites. It's my number one favorite budget hotels. I stayed there five times already since last August. I'd keep getting lucky on free upgrades from standard pyramid room to the new renovated pyramid room . The renovated pyramid room has the hand me down of the Bellagio furniture but the rooms were nice and clean. I do love the Egyptian theme and the architecture.
Thanks for sharing Paul! I think the Pyramid rooms are pretty cool, I like the old Vegas look and that you can look into the Casino from above. Its a really unique Vegas hotel!
On average I go to Las Vegas twice a year (March/April & September/October) and Luxor is my home away from home. I have had no bad experience with service and I enjoy staying in the pyramid. Location of the Luxor is not an issue as most of my plans are for the southern strip for gambling, food and drink. If I go to the middle , northern strip or downtown, I use the Deuce to get around Las Vegas as the travel is cheap. I enjoy the MGM Rewards that I get offered and use the comps and other credits. Enjoy tour videos! Keep the videos coming.
I was just there at the beginning of August and the Flight bar had a pint of draft beer and a shot for $11. It was a GREAT deal when we weren't playing and getting free cocktails. I have stayed at Luxor many times and love the value there, I always try to book a suite in the west tower. Especially with MGM Rewards, I always get at least a couple hundred more in FB credit than I would staying at the more premier properties like Aria or Bellagio. Only drawback is the location being so far south on the strip. It is fun to mix it up though and stay at the Luxor every once and a while!
wanted to stay here forever so we were just there. love the hotel vibes and price point however didn't realize how confusing it was. We walked probably 15 minutes before finding our room BUT to be fair it was in a very odd place... we were in room 40019, so the hallway that enters into mandalay bay is literally where our room. I kept saying we had our own secret alcove, to get there from the 4th floor we had to go through @ UNMARKED (looked like emergency exit doors) to cross over to the hallway
How bizarre, but a totally unique experience! We love the vibe and the price point is always a plus! Thanks for watching and sharing, we going to look for that room next time we are there!
do it! its literally in the entrance to the shoppes at mandalay. there's an escalator and wall of sunglasses and an unmarked door on that wall...thats where it is @@NinthIslandConnection
I don't understand why so many people shit on the luxor, I personally thought it was pretty nice, it obviously wasn't the best on the strip but it wasn't the worst or bad either.
Have stayed at Luxor 3 times and love it / we get a MyVegas for Diablos which has good food and your correct about the drink service there / the center of this casino is wonderful with the Egypt motif
Im from Scotland and have a soft spot for Luxor. Ive stayed here more than any other hotel but since I get all my rooms comped now I stay in the "better" hotels. Always loved the corner pyramid rooms with the tub at the window. Last few times ive been in the towers. Will 100% be back here at some point.
Thanks for sharing! We typically stay at a Caesar’s property center strip, but have been exploring MGM more since the Caesars Reweds gutting that took place earlier this year. I am really enjoying MGM properties and like the Luxor, it’s definitely an underrated property!
Just stayed there for 5 nights. Was nice. Didn't gamble much inside the hotel as I like wandering the casinos (I like Mandalay casino) and I really despised how the hallways to the towers were absurdly winding. Really think the hotel has a confusing ass layout too. East Tower suite we got comped was 2000+sq ft. Absurd but awesome. Loved the big ass tub too. Only really take baths at hotels.
The covered parking structure could use some work, but I did like that we could park on the ground level and there seemed to be plenty of covered parking. Thanks for watching and sharing!
We stayed there when the Luxor 1st opened and loved it. In the early nineties we started to prefer midstrip like Caesar's properties from then on. I would never say anything bad about Luxor or Excalibur because we loved staying there so much fun. I think your videos are terrific and very informative for newbies in Vegas 😃❤
Thanks for sharing! I wish I could have gone in the early 90's, from what I hear it was so much fun and very different! Thank you for watching and the kind words, we appreciate you! Aloha, Sebastian
Totally agree! I love that you have quick access to the Shoppes at Mandalay Bay and the casino there. Also, super quick to Excalibur and NYNY. Thanks for watching and commenting!
And those moving walkways are 50% operational most of the time. Be prepared to walk 50% of that walk without any assistance from the walkways...especially later in the evening.
Like you, Pai Gow is my table game of choice. I cannot believe they no longer have it. Coming to Vegas at the end of Sept and am choosing to stay at Park Mgm.
Although I've never stayed there I have visited plenty of times and for me the Luxor is a great and iconic hotel on the strip which offers great value for the prices. The only real downside is the location as it's right down on the south side of the strip. That and it no longer has a poker room:(
I’ve really been liking your videos, do you have any about the types of slots the Luxor has? Or a video on the best way to move around the strip or into downtown for a low cost
Nice review. Staying in the Pyramid is so cool. The remodeled Premier rooms don’t feel dated. Take the walkway (it’s often not working as you can see at the end of the video) or free tram to the Excalibur and you are down the strip aways, you are at NYNY and MGM. Diablo’s Cantina is good and reasonably priced.
If you're looking for the best deal in town for delicious beer go to the Arts District and Brewery Row. There are several breweries that have the best beers at the best prices and its so much fun! Only about a 5 minute Lyft or Uber. On the strip check out Toms Urban at NYNY, fun atmosphere, but Vegas prices. If you're over at Planet Hollywood go to the ABC store, they have pints of Miller Lite - Coors Light at 2 for 5 Bucks! 25 ounce can 2 for 7 BUCKS! Thanks for watching and the great question, we appreciate you!
I’ll be staying here starting on the 2nd. I’ve stayed at the red Rock and Venetian back in 2021, but my standards are still very low, coming from the world of motels and Marriott’s. The Luxor looks super cool.
Hi UptilDawn, Thanks for watching and commenting, we appreciate you! I really like the Luxor, we always have a great time when we stay. Have fun! Sebastian
I stayed for a week and it was aight. The employees at the food court were really rude and most of the food was meh. I liked the Titanic exhibit but the rest of the attractions just weren’t my speed. The gambling is great for sure and the drink service is really good. But the food… lol. Even familiar chains were twice the price and less than twice the quality of what I had back home. I’m a foodie, so that was a big deal for me. When I visited the other casinos around I kept thinking “Man, this is way more fun. Why didn’t I stay here?” I thought the New York New York hotel/casino was way more fun and with better food. But I think it’s just about what’s your “thing” and what you value most out of your trip.
Totally agree! Every property has its feel and speed. Definitely something for everyone in this town. Thanks for watching and sharing, we appreciate you!
THE ROOM IS REALLY NICE. AND I LOVE THE HOTEL, LOOKS LIKE ALOT OF GREAT STUFF INSIDE. YOUR FOOD LOOKS SO DELICIOUS 😋. I WILL CHECK IT OUT ON MY NEXT VEGAS VISIT. THANKS FOR SHARING, KEEP UP THE INCREDIBLE WORK 👏👏👏
I'll be staying there through January 2nd thru the 6th. Unfortunately Carrot Top isn't going to be there. So my second choices are Fantasy, AGT, and thanks to you I'm going to checkout the Titanic exhibit. I play tables as well craps and BJ. Ty
Hi Michelle, Hope you're having a great trip so far, if you're here. Luxor and Excalibur typically have lower limits than other properties. Also, a short walk to Mandalay Bay - Great food options and fun atmosphere without having to go outside! Aloha, Sebastian
Great vid. Cute dog. Been a fan for yrs. I noticed your slot betting is around a $1.00 a bet. Do you still get free comps. I used 2 do my Vegas but haven't had time in yrs. I've been an mlife player for over 10 yrs and usually maintain Gold and get comps but I don't feel betting as high as I do worth it. Ty
Hi Arlene! Thank you for watching and commenting, Carlos is always the star of the show, lol! Yes, I do get comp offers. We just booked 3 free nights at Mandalay Bay for free and because of Gold status, no resort fee. I will say though that I do have the Mlife CC and use it as my primary card for our television show so we do get lots of points because of that. My favorite machine is the .40 old buffalos. LOL!

It took me a while to find where to park at so backward. And where my room was cause it had different wings but it's a gorgeous place

Can definitely confirm this! Just stayed at Excalibur and ZERO walkways were working when going from Excalibur to NYNY!
Like you, Pai Gow is my table game of choice. I cannot believe they no longer have it. Coming to Vegas at the end of Sept and am choosing to stay at Park Mgm.
Right! I don't know why either, I used to play there all of the time because of the low limits. Park MGM is great, we really like it there!

Thanks Mark, we love the old, tacky Vegas feel! I agree with you on the value for the price too.
I stayed there 10 years in a row . I love it.
Thats awesome, I bet its changed quite a bit since then! Thanks for watching and sharing, we appreciate you!

Did you say free parking above the parking lot?
Hi Jeng, Thanks for watching and asking this question! Parking is free for MGM Rewards Pearl status and above.Hope this helps.
Like it!!!!! Great place at a great price. I rented a car so, location didn't matter.
Well said, "great place at a great price".
Great video, guys!!!
Such an underrated property!
Thanks so much!
Thanks for video going to stay there for new years.
Hope you enjoy it! New Years on the Strip is really fun!
How much is the average pint of beer in luxor and in Vegas itself?

So is west tower further from the casino?

Food everywhere for the most part in Vegas is high.
Yup, that’s why I always recommend going off strip at least once. Even downtown East Fremont has great food at much lower prices than the strip.
